I own a Volvo vV60 for a year now and it's a fantastic car. The boot is not so big but has a very useful layout, the rear seats fall flat with nicely if you need more space. The new Sensus System is a little bit old school but dead easy to use. Only a few downsides: Storage space in the cabin is not as good as you may think after watching the video and leather quality is not quite premium. The D3 is a fantastic 5 cylinder mid-range engine by the way, I love it!

I have owned two 3 series and yes they are great on smooth hwys but my back said no more bmws. No better experience than driving a BMW on a windy well paved strech of road. But when it gets bumby a BMW 3 series becomes a bit of a burden on the back.
Rebeca is wrong about the boot. It is way bigger than a bmw 3series(480L), audi a4 avant(490L). V60 has 550L. For me is all about numbers. Next time make sure you get the numbers right.
i guess its perfect for people like me. The only reason I look at this is because I like the station wagon style, don't really about the boot space :D my Fiesta was always sufficient.
I really wish Volvo didn't stop selling wagons, in the US. I understand it financially: if they didn't sell, then don't do it. But they are missed among we wagonista! :-D

Sensors don't need them, save ya money have them put on by 3rd party installer there much much much much cheaper, also get a 3rd party in car entertainment audio shop to put in a much nicer and excellent brand audio system. Din, t pay car makers money for Sat nav, or maps or members only Android crap, cut it out altogether save ya money go 3rd party, buy your own alloys it's cheaper, volvos are like bmws nice but overly overly expensive and a lot of that crap as toys is a waste of money👍

It's smaller than it's direct competition, yes. And in the US, ;priced well under. I'm starting to think of the V60 as a large hatch instead of a small wagon. Suddenly it's a class leader.
No offense to the 3 Series but I think people should stop using it as a reference for other cars. We need to accept the fact that other companies can't make a 3 Series and they very well shouldn't. They need to be authentic. People should look for what they like in the car and if its the 3 Series then buy, if not buy something else.
I like the V60. Wish Volvo could get the emissions down on the 5 cylinders and make them a viable alternative to diesel in Europe. Alas, we cannot have the 5-cylinder growl and economy, it seems...
looking at buying a s/h V60 in thailand - there is no real competition apart from small SUVs but everyone has those - do these volvos ride hard? thats my only issue, the roads are terrible there

When she sits in back of cars they always looks extremly big... but if you are 195cm tall there are not much cars that you can sit comfortably in back of.... no cars of volvo and vw for example... while fords and skodas cars always feels comfortable in the back for people like me.

I saw a volvo try to do that once. It went straight under the trailer. The 1/4 in thick metal on the three inch box section trailer bumper stripped the volvo from its chassis.
Not only the wagons...killing the S40 was a stupid thing to do...argument was that there were not enough sales, but pretty sure if they had updated the car it would be selling very well, I have one and love it, but now would have to upgrade to an S60...the only small option is the damn V40, as if we all were racerboys or teenaged tech obsessed freaks...some of us love cars for their driving capabilities and design, not all that techno bullshit. BRING BACK THE S40!!!
Don't think Volvo's gonna last much longer here in North America, they withdrew virtually all wagon models, and they're trying to make themselves more upmarket. Their products are horribly overpriced here too, the C30 can quickly be on the upper end of $40k.
Mentions mpg without saying what engine they are for. Doesnt even bother to fold down the back seats. Why would you buy an estate version without being interested in the capacity, load lip, flatness, how easy to drop the seats etc. Complete fail of an estate review. Seems like this reviewer was more interested in getting out of the rain and going for lunch then doing a proper review
