A new niche. Data centres with high security. Give it 5 years and DJ will be getting chased by robots
😂😂😂
I like this guy, very informative….well done DJ Audits 👍🏼
What a great guy at the start.
The guy at the beginning was a happy chap , they spoilt it at the end I feel .
DJ you're right, I personally know one very large data centre for a bank and only has 5 employees in total, so 1-3 people working 24/7 looking at hundreds of screens.
Not hundred of screens, probably just one with the status of all the servers on it !
What a friendly and informative Logistics Manager.
😊
He had me smiling, nice to see someone passionate and enjoying his job 🏆
he hasn't got his job any more!
Pleasant gentleman , not a member of the "not allowed " mob , so a smart fellow.
From above it looks like a huge circuit board for a PC its the true Mother Board
When is the last time you ever heard of a data center physically attacked. Hackers are more likely to be attack the data center. The over the top physical security and lack of signage screams data center. This is Iron Mountain Data Centers · LON-2.
We love two videos a day, our day would be great knowing DJS COMING, KEEP FILMING AND STANDING THE GROUNDS OF ALL OUR RIGHTS
The reason there they're all in one area is there's an Internet exchange, Equinix, (called a peering exchange) in Slough, on the same road. This exchange is the way they connect, essentially directly, to the backbone of the really high speed Internet. Them all being in the same location has to do with getting similar speed and performance to competitors since distance = time even as small a performance gain it is. Then there will also be suitable power available / cost / reliability of power from the power utility and land cost will be acceptable to these companies.
I think your onto something here with these, they like mini fortresses aren't they.😮Those trees though😔
Love DJ AUDIT VIDEOS, TOP CLASS AND GREAT FEILD TRIPS, THANKS MATE
I read about that data centre in the Daily Mail and thought to myself Dj Audits will be all over this.
Swimming pool 😁 , jacuzzi , room for a pony 😂 as Mrs bucket 🪣 ( bouquet ) would say 😂😂😂
They got your fingerprints now
Those trees looked great 😃
Gardener must have graduated from the Monsanto school of Advanced Herbicide and Chainsawery, yeeha!
Well done dj
With the sheer number of servers in a data center, there is always at least one that has gone wrong and needs fixing !
My server is in a French data center and has had the motherboard replaced at least 3 times in the 10 years that I have had it !
Great work by DJ audits as usual. 🤣🤣❤️
Great video and views. 👍⭐⭐⭐
The new data centre replaces the former Logicalis brick data centre. Sept 2021 street view shows the new building structure before closed in and November 2020 shows demolition in progress and google aerial image is before that.
Hiya DJ very interesting video really enjoy watching all your content. May I ask....do you have more than one pair of Green trackie bottoms? Lol 😅👍😊❤
Yes. I have 3 pairs now but only go out once or twice a week filming so only need one. 💚
@@DJAUDITS I can see why having spares could be handy.
They could bring the rottweilers out or
They could threaten to shoot DAVID 'outta the sky!'
20 security on every floor and every exist 😮
There's a new data centre being installed in the old Ford's factory in Bridgend owned by an American firm.
18:35 Boop boop boop 😆🤣😍
Amazon S3 etc has really taken off for a lot of companies because they don't have to manage their own hardware including UPS solutions and consumables like batteries.
I'm 50/50 about cloud infrastructure, it has benefits including not having to manage hardware and not having downtime when moving etc but is a PITA to transfer providers and means you're basically locked in to the eco-system. We're semi locked into the Microsoft arena for our personal use with Business level subscriptions for several reasons including security.
Like anything there are pros and cons but it's mainly for lazy governments who have the most money to blow on tech.
Yep. Relying on an outside provider is convenient but it comes with a price.
Just like giving up freedoms and liberties for a bit of perceived benefit.
Now they’re tracking everything from your phone and car to every purchase you make with anything digital and not cash.
I’ll pass.
Security sings like a canary, niiiice
He wasn't security. He asked him that at the start
I know, I realised after I posted. A thousand apologies my friend🙏
@@hyruleansans473 its ok. I didnt mean to be that guy. Sometimes the Internet etc gets to me 🙏
Hi DJ, love the channel mate, have you any plans to come to Huddersfield, we'd love to have you 👍
best bloke ever this guy
For all these data centres to be in the same area there must be a high bandwidth connection nearby or an open reach point of presence maybe. Nice Audit DJ.
Reason lots of major DCs is likely Slough is a key peering point for internet exchanges, combined with land and power pricing
What's up with the trees?
Yeah like something from a horror film
And just think. All a data centre is, is one big heat generator!! 🤣
No water to fight Data Center fires.
One system uses Nitrogen to quickly exhaust 'Air/Oxygen' out of the room. It's quick using over-pressure and loud...I know...
I worked as a security supervisor in Ireland in Amazon data centres. The security is crazy walk through metal detectors every door alarmed and superior camera on each door one inside one outside it's crazy
That security officer who took that picture would be removed from site as it's against site policy to take only people that can take pictures are Amazon own security team who have approved company phone.
If this guy was my employee, he would get fired for slacking off on the job and not knowing how to keep his mouth shut.
Luckily this is becoming even more of an interesting industrial channel with less drama
Think I would have pushed more buttons for longer at the end there 😂
DJ, I'm officially spoiled. From now on you have to publish 2 videos every day. 😜😉
It won’t be everyday mate but let’s say Slough had too many data centres so I don’t want to string it out too long 🙌
@@DJAUDITS Listen, one one thing we're not is mates! (Prologis Hemel Hempstead) 😁

@@DJAUDITS Yeap. One of my favorite videos. 👍
You have to get out twice , omg 😳, what a pain 😮, it's ok in nice weather 😮, bit of a pain in the bum if it's raining/ snowing etc 😂
Imagine when money is only digital, and whichever gov you’re living under decides to clean out your bank account.
love your work DJ 👍
No water sprinklers in the actual server rooms. It will be Halon gas, at a guess. Bad idea to be in a room when they go off (it pushes Oxygen out of the room), although there are usually oxygen masks
Halon has been banned in the EU and the UK since 2000.
@@steverpcb But, but, Terminator 2!
@@steverpcb Shows how long I have been out of the 'game'. Logged that in what few brain cells I have left, thanks.
The 1st guy was a pleasure to see, just as it should be 😊
Have you thought about having a look around Blubberhouses and the giant Golfballs
Colo-x says it's Iron Mountain, not Amazon. Of course they may lease some or all of it to Amazon.
Amazon makes about 40% of their revenue from their cloud services. They’re used by thousands of companies including banks etc so security has to be extremely tight. Doesn’t take long to add malware or extract data
The 8pm Dj upload we're all getting used to.
Dj tell me this is going to be a regular basis now mate.
I'm sure nobody will say no to 2 videos a day.
I couldn’t keep up with 2 a day but at the moment the queue is big so can shorten it with 2 👍
@@DJAUDITS it's been my routine for a while now mate.
Dj audits at 4pm or clean the moss of the mohair.

No but Dj, AB and Reggie Photo needs to happen
Can't you keep some spare for the holidays? Or if you're busy at work for a period, and unable to get out there as much. Keep up the good work👍
Alway like it when you quote the law to the security and they brick it
What a beautiful happy chap 😊
All them fans warming up the planet 😮

11:13 how did u knock that broom over DJ? magic man!
That is the strangest gate I've ever seen; this bifold gate with the hinge in the middle is so awkward. There's so many better ways to open and close a gate of that size 🤔
Many of these are used for financial markets trading Iron Mountain is in America its an actual secure storage under a mountain but they run data centers as well.
It's not Amazon, it's Iron Mountain (They might lease it Amazon Web Services). I've only just realised this is where Logicalis old offices and Data Centre was, having previously visited many years ago and that wasn't even that old.
I'm starting to think the D in DJ stands for datacentre! Just trying to figure out what the J stands for.... journalism? judgement? jesting?
It's all good anyway, keep 'em coming DJ.
Recently I'm coming to think the D in DJ stands for Datacenter :)
Did you sue them for taking that photo?
What about when your filming people(employees)of company's your filming etc!! doesn't bother you when you do it!
When he came out I thought, here we go but to be honest he seemed ok
Gratte Brothers... building services providers, or as we like to call them land grabbers.
They're not buying the land, they're the contractor for the works
This guy is kl😎
Did you got to Slough Borough council?
what was going on with them trees?they looked really weird no leafs
Its not called a vehicle lock its called a sally port like in prisons and jails.
Just update you that the black guy you was talking too lost his job today because of your video. So while you try and make a living out of winding people up. He is now jobless. Well done DJ you should feel so proud of yourself 👏👏
You don't know him.
At the end of each video, would love a segment "Ask the Auditor" where you answer viewer questions.... what do you think?? (Obviously need to be a member )
What happens if the 2nd code doesn't work , and you get trapped in between 2 gates , that once happened to me at a hospital , it was double electric doors and I got trapped one Sunday in between the lobby of a hospital the 2nd set of doors didn't work and I was banging on the glass to get out and people were walking past thinking I'm nuts 😂,I was panicking thinking I was going to be there all night 😮 security had to come and let me out , I still have nightmares about being trapped I'm claustrophobic too, because it was only a small lobby 😊
i thought they would use a gas for fires in a place like this now water probably halon
👏👏👏👏👏🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Your lens were dirty DJ
Do I have permission to clean it Danny? 🤣🤣🙌😉
@DJAUDITS of course my good friend
~ Did the pollarding go too far? Maybe it'll grow back next year.
It would be interesting to know what capacity (kW) some of these large PV systems we see from the drone are
Well the big ones are 250w so add them up most are smaller though.

Good evening DJ
Am i allowed to take photos on my break time as a worker 🤔🤔🤔private time !
Report them for the GDPR breach
Shit tree pruning
its the mother load lol
This makes me wounder what a on-line convenient store needs that muche data storage for. Id emagin a gouverment facility needing this muche, but Amazone???
Amazon has many divisions, selling books and toilet paper is only one division.

"Instances of 249-gram drones flying onto work sites and factories are leading to the introduction of new laws. This behavior is causing problems with staff who subsequently contact the police. Authorities, including CASA Flight, are intervening to prevent these disruptions and mitigate the need for stricter legislation. It's crucial not to engage with such content or play loud music to avoid being associated with their actions on platforms like CZcams. Such behavior is detrimental to the future of drone use worldwide."
🥇🥇🥈🥉🥉🥉
I hope you report them.
I laugh at these ridiculous “security theater” systems. While they will keep honest people honest they’re not going to do a damn thing against an actual attack.
Having been involved in security at the national security level (military codes and such) I see “security theater” all the time. Sadly, most think its actually good security.
They are worried about the Chinese getting in
Arnt we all

Permission to come aboard SIR?
Define irony,
You film a data centre with incredibly tight security because personal data is important & they must by law adhere to GDPR.
Security guard at the said data centre takes a photo of you & you try to start a subject access request & you’re denied. 🤦🏼♂️
lmao i feel DJ got a bit cucked on this one, they didn't give in and he got a bit childish at the end spamming all their buttons because they didn't give him the rise they wanted, I'm not a fan of when it goes like this feels a bit immature.
Dj
They were doing so well. But it seems theres always one. Then it spreads. Sneakily taking a photo. Then getting cought out. Then saying they dont know what your talking about. Then they cant help you dont know what your talking about and are ending the interaction. Really? That didnt just happen did it?. How to show the people that work for you are complete ass holes. Dont know the law dont know the rules dont know their job and couldnt care less. They have money or work for money and can do what they want. You cant do anything about it and they know it. Makes me sick. They did so well till that point i was actually impressed. Until mr pissing important decided to try and be the man and interfer. And it went tits up and down hill from there. Amazon is this really the kind of people you want working for you and representing you? Id think twice about who i hired if i were you.
