  • BNC continues with coverage of the retrial hate crime case of a former New Jersey police chief.
Frank Nucera Jr. is accused of violating the rights of an African American teen during an arrest in 2016 as he slammed the handcuffed man's head into a metal door. Nucera is already convicted of lying to the FBI about the incident. Prosecutors say Nucera Jr. was a known racist, and he shaped his department on those beliefs.
BNC correspondent Astrid Martinez joins "BNC Live" with Laverne McGee with details on the case.

If a cop lies to the FBI should there not be a long sentence ?

If the FBI or any party alleging to be the FBI is conducting itself in a way that is counter or seems counter to the duties of the police officer, then there should be no sentence against the cop who lies to the FBI. Maybe relevant or not, I think it's probably not true that there are many locations where the federal government came and committed acts of war against US Citizens where it is documented. Should a police officer assume that anyone representing xirself as FBI really is FBI and what if there is any reason to suppose otherwise?

More work has to be done such as passing the George Floyd bill (with modifications to or repealing qualified immunity) but the officer MUST be commended on what he did!! I’m very proud of any cop the BREAKS the tragic “blue wall of silence”

As long as qualified immunity remains in place the police will continue to conduct themselves like they are above the law. (and have no respect for nor intend to abide by it)

Recently in a Forum, I asked the Deputy chief of Prince William county in VA, to please name specific examples of why Qualified Immunity is needed for police officers. His answer....I got no specifics just B.S. and stuttering!

Wow the LT. is the true hero. If we had more good cops like him across this country, then America can really be great!!

They hate because they fear. They fear people doing to them what they did/do to black people.
