    The takeaway is that as a rule, serious disciplinary consequences for the cops occur as a result of some internal squabble, and hardly ever as a consequence of abuse and violence directed at innocent members of the public.

Actually, your specious argument only works to reinforce my position. See, Lt. Manata didn't even kill anybody, but got in trouble because of a conflict with the brass.

    I’m sure some police officers of different color’s have names for people of different color’s. It’s not right, but it happens. I would like to hear is the whole conversation.

    So....you claim you have evidence....but chose to get paid to not release it? Isn't that the exact definition of blackmail?
    Sounds like there are allegations of two people doing something wrong....and actual evidence of *you* doing something wrong.

      @@debbiejoseph7532 1) He clearly wasn't afraid of "disappearing" if he recorded then reported them. And just because the "evidence" hasn't been seen, the identities weren't hidden.
      2) He obviously wasn't all that concerned about these people if he was willing to make sure no one would see the "evidence" and they wouldn't be punished in exchange for a payoff. Pretty sure they could have just made him "disappear" *before* paying him. But I'm not an expert on "the game" like you are.

      He lost his state paid medical benefits and paycheck. The chief and others accused (and most likely guilty) are getting paid to stay home while collecting all the benefits they enjoyed while at work..

    So he took $400k and talked anyway. This is something a rat does. The mayor’s reaction to hearing the recording was accurate. Just an overgrown tattletale crying about his lack of income or benefits. He should have kept his mouth shut, done his job, and he’s would have everything he’s crying about now.
