"Dead End" and "The Lodge", "Inside" and "The Children" are great horror movies. They don´t show much Christmas stuff but they happen during Christmas, so I guess they count. Also "The Children" is the best "murderous children" movie IMO.
I have watched "The Lodge" at least once every winter since it came to streaming. I love it, depressing as hell as it is!😆 It has definitely become a Christmas tradition for me, anyway.🎄🖤.
Real talk tho, the original Black Christmas is a freakin masterpiece. It's actually difficult to find its equal, not just in holiday horror, but in horror films in general. It's pretty great, one of my top favourite all-time horror films

Absolutely, one of my faves as well.
I prefer Clark's DEATHDREAM which he made the same year, but they're both great low-budget indie films.
I would also add to the list The Lodge, since most of it (at the lodge) takes place during Christmas time! Plus with the beautiful snowy landscape makes you wanna wrap up in blankets with candles going🥰🎄
I love the 2006 remake of "Black Christmas". It´s bloody, fun and the casting is great.
As always you deliver an enjoyable and informative video. Easily one of the best horror CZcamsrs we have. Agree with the majority of titles on this list. The only omissions I would include is: The Children and Inside. Christmas Evil is an unsung masterpiece. I can see Halloween Kills borrowed a lot from this.

❤️LOOVE your channel!! This is a great list! Another one I watch every year is "A Christmas Horror Story". It's an anthology horror where the stories intertwine and interact in little ways, kind of like "Trick r Treat." It's not perfect, but I enjoy it and it probably has the best wraparound reveal of any anthology. And I'm sorry, but I also REALLY like the 2006 "Black Christmas"! The colors are gorgeous, they had fun with the original and I find it just a fun movie.
I'm glad to see so many people mentioning The Lodge in the comments, because that is one of my favorite horror movies that takes place around Christmas, specifically because it manages to make you forget that it's Christmas with its oppressive atmosphere.
Also, aiming to watch Better Watch Out (with a Treevenge opener) soon, I've been meaning to do so because it's been getting so many recommendations as an underrated gem. Thanks as always, Emma, love your work!

Thanks for the list, Emma. Being the only horror fan in this household, I have to be more secretive with my Christmas horror watching. The original "Black Christmas" (1974) is the one must-see for me every year. Other favorites include "A Christmas Carol" (1951, with Alastair Sim), "Gremlins" (1984), "A Christmas Horror Story" (2015) and the detective mystery film "Lady In The Lake" (1947) set during the Christmas holiday.
P2 is criminally underrated. I remember seeing it around the time of its release and it really had me on the edge of my seat. I will often reference it to this day when in parking garages at night.
I wasn't sure what to watch this holiday season which for Puerto Ricans extends into January and gives us an excuse to keep drinking coquito but you've just added 8 movies to my list. You saved my Christmas Emma. Thank you and happy holidays!
I used to watch P2 almost everyday when I was little. Another film I really have to watch is Terror Train and Black Christmas since I've never seen it. One film I truly enjoy is Silent Night Deadly Night 1 and 3.

I think besides TNBC, Anna & the Apocalypse is my favorite Christmas Horror😎 Its a Christmas horror musical set in Scotland that just happens to also be a zombie movie & I love it!🎄🧟♂️🎵

Love this list! Seen quite a few (Krampus was amazing on the big screen, but play really well on my TV too! Christmas Evil is quite a messed up film), but still a few more that I need to see, great recommendations Emma!

Was hoping for a "Silent Night, Deadly Night" mention. From start to finish, it really creates a brutal story of a young child who grows up,with multiple horrible things that happen to him at different periods of his life. You almost can't blame him for snapping

Great list! The truly sad part of "Krampus: The Reckoning" is that it is far from the worst Krampus movie. Less a testament to its quality and more a startling revelation about the others and where the bar is set. 😂
Agreed. My husband and I have been obsessed with Krampus things for some time now and before the 2015 one came out, we watched the others we could get our hands on and were shocked just how bad they were.
This was a throw away line to one time when I recommended a friend Krampus and they watched the wrong one!!!
Krampus, both hmmm the new one 2015 dissapionted me a little bit. The ending is not as amazing as i expected.
Clearly I need to have a Krampus marathon and suffer through all of the baddies, haha.

My favorite Chrismas horror film is absolutely the original Black Christmas. I watched it for the first time last Christmas Eve and was terrified. It stayed with me for days. Now it will be part of my Christmas Eve tradition!! So good.

Awesome video, good timing for me as I just watched The Advent Calendar and was wondering if there were any other Christmas themed horror worth watching! A few Christmas Horror movies I recently rewatched are I Am Not A Serial Killer & I Trapped The Devil. But I would also recommend the short fan film It’s Me, Billy! which is meant to be a direct sequel to the original Black Christmas. And anyone looking for some cheesy family fun should check out Santa Jaws.

Silent Night is my new favourite Christmas film 🎅🌲
I recommend a delightful new movie, 'Red Snow' which is a sly dig at the Twilight movies. A wanna be writer of romantic vampire novels finds a handsome wounded vampire in her garage a few days before Christmas. Dennice Cisneros is wonderful as the writer - a great comic performance. It does get gory, but with one exception, nobody gets it you care about. A splendid use of Christmas carols, an ending I didn't expect and all in at 80 minutes.

Inside (2007) is my favourite movie to watch around christmas time. it’s become a yearly habit for me for quite awhile hah
I was about to be surprised that no one had mentioned this film, which I just happened to watch on Christmas Eve a few years ago not knowing that is when the film is set. Hands down, the bloodiest Christmas movie ever!

Watched Krampus for the first time last year, after Emma gave the recommendation, and I absolutely loved it. It's going to be a tradition to watch it every Christmas from now on. I also agree with everyone who recommends The Lodge. Such a scary and dark film.
