the goal is to compress the neurovascular bundle on the side that you are testing--so not the opposite arm.

If the Adson's test has a weak clinical value, which test do you then suggest performing for TOS?
Also don't we also have to extend the arm along with abduction in the modification?

Atm im studying physiotherapy and my tutors teached roos test and adson test, there might not be really good tests for physios. They also have a Video for the Roos Test if you like!

Might be a bit late but i believe that the whole cluster is recommended (Adson,Roos, costoclavicular, wright, tinel and cyriax release).

Allen's test is the one you turn your head away. Allen and Adson test are both for thoracic outlet syndrome.

Both turn directions move the ends of the scaleni away and will bring pressure

I think you're referring to the Halstead test also called the reverse Adson test.
