I was in booths 448-449 . It was my 23rd year in the same booth at Springfield Ohio Extravaganza. It's a great show . We always have white ironstone , and transfer ware. Out front in our booth . This show only happens twice a year . May & September third weekend . Next time stop in and say hi or take a break. There was 2,150 outdoor vendors this time .
Every time I watch one of our trip videos, it just makes me want to do it all over again! So fun!
I know, right? I was jonesing for it so much that I decided to sell at the Burton Ohio show this weekend in hopes of seeing some more CZcamsrs
I love the Italian spaghetti dog! Adorable.
Hiya from England, we call flea Markets. Boot sales. Can have great fun walking around. 👍🐺
You put such a smile on my face when you showed the red head bubble cut Barbie. I grew up playing with that. It was my sisters. She took them back when her daughter was born and let her and now the granddaughters play with them. It drives me nuts because the vintage clothing can be worth more than the doll!
I love hearing all the history, stories of all the things she looks at and purchases 💕
I hope you purchased that beautiful orange vase w/parrot on it! I’m going to check this out for next year! Looks like a ton of fun & a lot of walking!
She did! E-mail her about it
The Antique Nomad, I saw that she has it up on eBay. I’m surprised that she didn’t keep this beautiful piece. BTW, George, I live in N’KY. May I ask what part of KY you are in. Would love to come to one of your sales!
You guys ROCK this was a great colab with you all it was so fun i felt i was their with you guys I WISH do it again !!!!! Do it Again best live to date !!!!
I can't wait to put out mine, these are so fun for me to watch having been there!
Love watching you interact with such nice people.
Jocelyn attracts nice people because she is one! Great person to connect with in this fun and crazy vintage world
Another wonderful day! Loved it! I nearly passed out when I saw all that beautiful purple glass!
I'm so excited to see my booth on your channel! Looking up and seeing you all standing there was a great moment at the end of a long day, it was just awesome to get to talk in person. BTW I was frustrated for you that Barbie vendor was nowhere to be found, that was a good collection
Right?! Even the original clothes can be worth money. I was pretty disappointed. It was the same vendor where you got the ice crusher on the last day.
@@CrazyLampLady Oh that guy, yes, he was in and out a lot. Wish I knew who he was to connect you.
I just sold that set of Otagiri owls you glanced at. Was kinda fun having already seen what you picked up before hand and seeing the moment you found it. I’m like oh! There it is! Haha 😊
Chase aluminum wares are good buys also. They made coasters, boxes etc.
I would have been in heaven with the purple glass. ❤
George has the happiest trunk up elephant you missed.
That is a happy elephant!
Joselyn the marigold glass car vase at 2:30 looks like the one you wanted Andrew to let you put in the truck! You could’ve had two🤣🤣🤣♥️♥️♥️
This series from all 4 of you & the lives have been so much fun. Several of us in Texas are trying to plan a meet up next month at Roundtop/Warrenton show.
OldStuffBethTX I hope it works out. Who are the thrifters?
Seeing you 4 shop together was fun, along with seeing the flea market. But the most fun was hearing your ooowing and ahhhing at all the pretty things. I know you all had to have been so tired after all that walking that day.
It wears you out but happily so
Remember Barb, Winking Owl Antiques on I think Ebay and Etsy. Links are in RealNiftyVintage, description. So much fun! I do watch all of them, they enjoy and have fun!
So fun! What a power team you all were. Thank you for sharing!!
I love Rinconada. I use to sell it years ago in a little collectable store. It is a rare find out in the wild. I should have known that George would be the one to have it! 😉
I love that stuff and think it's a great 'newly vintage' collectible area
So excited to see Part 2! Loved the live videos you guys had while you were there too♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Great stuff!! Wow I live in Queens, NY.
Loved the little animals at the end. Think i'll look for them. Love your channel
It's been such fun to watch the livestreams and then watch each seller's videos on this trip too.
I agree, even though I was there I keep seeing things I didn't see in person! I'm excited to show more myself but I'm only now processing video
Loved to see a little of George s booth. Could you please speak about the little critters that you and George were talking about near the end of the video. Thanks ☺️
Those are Rinconada, they're made in Uruguay since around the late 1980s and they all have that buff body and sculpted look. There are a lot that are now discontinued and it's a fun area to collect
I wanted to reach into the TV and grab that rectangular clear refrigerator glass LOL. When I was a child I used to dream I could do that LMAO
Yay!, you finally found a Wendal August Forge.
I love purple glass. So many great things to look at !
Thanks for sharing and caring! Stay Safe!
Soo happy! Yay!
I love seeing you guys all together! There are so many wonderful pieces to buy!! Thanks for making the effort to film.
More videos to come from us all!
I was excited to see the Midge Barbie doll. Sad you couldn't find the vendor.
I have Midge with the interchangeable wigs. I am still fascinated by her.
I so enjoy your narrative of all the interesting treasures👒
This is an awesome collaboration. I’ve enjoyed the point of view from everyone involved. Well done. Thank you.
Me too I'm really enjoying what they saw that I passed up when I was there
Omg. The orange vase is stunning! Hope u bought it! Amazing with the bird....love it and u
She did, don't know whether she'll sell it or not, it was really striking
Happy you got that hot air balloon painting! I loooove it!
Me too! It was fantastic!
Love the balloon painting it's just good to look at think make a person want to travel
So bummed I was going to go to Springfield but didn't go! Glad to see you guys had a great time!
Omg the car vases !!
What is the name of the artist you and George were discussing? I would like to learn more! Thanks. I have learned a lot from your channel!
AT 5:07 THE ELEPHANT PLANTER CUTE, THE CZECH VASE WITH PARROT WAS FABULOUS, SHOULD GO IN YOUR COLLECTION
This was so fun watching all your videos. What a great couple days you all have had!
There's more to come! It was an epic weekend
Love the purple glass💜
That was fun thank you!!! 🌻
Enjoyed your video so much! Wish I was there!!
Oh wow that is so huge it is like detectival :)
It must be nightmarish putting that stock out for the day on each of those stalls.
And it was SOOO windy. Quite a few vendors had stuff falling over.
Oh, we have a system...we put the valuables away at night, cover the rest and block off access. They do have night time security.
You friends and awesome finds omg I am soooooo here for it!
More videos coming from us all!
Worth the drive for the fun factor. And I'd buy. I looked it up. Appears a 3 day event. I think you need all 3 days to see it all.
Getting My shopping fix!!!
HAPPY WEDNESDAY!👍🙏🏻💕
Those were some really early Barbie clothes. I had some of those around 1962.
Oh yay! I feel dumb... I thought you were taking a PICTURE of me in front of the ice cream. I stood there like a lump. I so wish we could have walked around with George more...
Misty was taking a picture. I was just enjoying you standing in front of the giant ice cream cone like a lump. 🤗 Just ordered my new camera!
I wish I could've shopped with you longer too!
@@CrazyLampLady What camera are you getting?
So many great things! Springfield Extravaganzas are always wonderful. You should always make an offer; it’s very acceptable at that show. A polite “what’s your best price” or “would you take $xx” is fine. But no lowball offers of 50% or less - that’s just offensive to the seller. 🙂 And if something you love doesn’t have a price, ASK! I feel like you passed up some good stuff😀
Thank you for your etiquette! As a dealer, I'm always willing to talk price with someone if they approach it that way. When someone offers half off though, I tell them truthfully that I'd go out of business if I sold at half off, and then I don't want to deal with them at all. Better to offer a fair price than insult the dealer
You saw such beautiful things. I would have had to paw my car to get all things I would have wanted.
Awesome video as usual♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Is this flea market once a year I so want to plan a trip.. Love all of you watch you all every day!!!
This is the Springfield Ohio Extravaganza which is held every year, once in May and once in September. They also have other shows on weekends throughout the year about once a month.
I want all the purple glass!
I always hate when vendors don’t price them I always pass up stalls like that even if there’s items of interest because it gives them reason to up the price because they now know you have interest in the item
Well, it's true some play that game, but honestly, I always want to bring my most freshly acquired stock to shows and sometimes there isn't time to price it all. Because of that, I usually give a better deal than I would if I had time to think about it...so it works both ways.
The glass sailfish is Mexico from the 60s-70s. I had a blue one when I was a kid. It got broken during a pillow fight with my brother.
Lol
That's right, I think Crisa made those
Love you, from Denmark ❤❤❤❤
For flea markets you could use a fold away wagon. Would be easier.
omg I have such an itch! I couldnt go because I cant walk very well! Have you ever been to the huge flea at Brimfield, MA??? My parents used to do that show every year back in the 90s.
That explains a lot about the prices! Lol. Antique show and not a flea market! I think I would've worn walking shoes!
There were both types of pricing, I saw people practically giving stuff away on Sunday, especially larger items; but there were also high-end professional antique dealers as well
Yes, I think we got so much better deals on Sunday. Especially on glass! No one wants to haul home all that glass, right?.... 🙋🏼♀️
The Antique Nomad My mom stopped at a garage sale last week & spotted a Roseville piece on a table. She has a huge collection & we both know a repo from a mile away, but; this was the real deal. The lady was inside & came out to ask my mom if she could help & my mom said she was interested in wooden puzzles for her great grandson which the lady sold for 25¢ each! Mom then said "how much for the pretty blue vase"? The reply was "how about $1.00" 😱!! She had recently bought the house & it was in the attic, fully marked, #’d, initialed & in perfect shape. I was so jealous, lol!!
@@CrazyLampLady Right! You found some beautiful pieces either way!
@@TheAntiqueNomad that's usually how it goes! I always enjoy vicariously shopping with CCL.
Huge high five to the dealers who put items upside down so when you are picking, you know right away if you are interested.
Barb has Ebay too.
That was toooo short I wanted to seee more loved seeing all of you together
We all have more videos to come from this trip, don't worry!
Does that custard bowl glow? If yes add a new photo. That's when I can start the bidding war. You always get more bids if you show they glow. Especially if the glowing photos are the first couple photos.
I haven’t go to watch your vids in a while
I live in queens ny
Love love spaghetti dog from Italy
5:33 murano sailfish
George!
Hi! It was so fun having them all visit
I wondering where she puts the stuff she buys while they are walking?
Misty's husband was so great about hauling loads back to the car for us all
Aaaaaarrrrrgggg the uranium glass!
I'm sure Eric can do better in price for you.
Please let flyingpigs aka Dagney that I received my item & that she is awesome. Thanks
AT 8:29 SAW SO MANY PRETTIES ON ONE TABLE !!!
How do you carry all the things you buy at events like this? So fun! I wanna be a mouse in your pocket 🐁
Misty's husband Mark was a real trooper and took several loads back to the car for us
love the group your with but missing my cutie patootie Aaron, and wheres that Andrew?
Omg all that purple glass😍😍😍 does any of it have any real age?
Most of it was old, but they were definitely putting it in a machine to make the magnanese in the batch come out so deep purple
If you have never seen the process of
UV glass going from a white GE lightbulb to clear glass, to purple, & back to clear when you take it out of UV light, 🤯 it’s AMAZING!! There is a really cool glass blowing shop in Cleveland OH & you can go in to see all the different pieces & even blow your own piece!! They are one of the leading recyclers of lightbulbs in the US & it’s only a 2-3 furnace & 1 kiln shop! They are totally cool, they have a chicken that hangs out in the shop, lol 😂. It’s close to the big city market, ask anyone & they can tell you where it is. PLUS: you can visit the house & museum they shot "A Christmas Story" in & it’s set up with the tree, family photos & of course the leg lamp!! They are about a 10 minute drive from the glass shop, LOL! Love your channel, although I die a little when you pass Roseville for super cheap😉. Happy Hunting 🤗💜🦋
I know that place. I thought about taking a class there, but I have never been inside.
It's really fun to watch glass blowing!
Mimi's Treasure Cottage They are all SO kind! I live in Indiana & had to go to see some specialists at the Cleveland Clinic. We grabbed a magazine & it’s listed as a "don’t miss" place to go, so we did, lol! (You can only sit in s hotel staring at one of the most famous hospitals in the world freaking out for so long). Anyway, the pieces are amazingly varied & as we were talking about them, the lady at the counter said that many of the physicians will come to the shop after it closes in the evening & started glass blowing as a form of relaxation! They recommend you call to sign up for a class in case they are full. You 100% what you want to make & one of the artists in residence helps you out. Since they have to go in the kiln, they fire them for you & you can choose to have it shipped, or if you are going to be going back to the hospital within a year, they pack it up, label it & will hold it for 1 year! Some of the most gorgeous pieces were by the doctors & what a cool way to wind down. Definitely stop in sometime, they are a wealth of knowledge! 💜🦋
The Antique Nomad OMG, to literally see a bunch of crushed light bulbs turn into something big & spectacular, or; insanely small & detailed is awe inspiring. It is the ultimate "Use, Recycle, Create & Use Again" circle that could keep SO much more out of landfills! We hung out just watching & talking for over an hour😂. One of the artists finished a vase while we were there, & I swear: the room went silent as he went to plunge it 🙏🏻 you wouldn’t hear any cracking. That is the most often time it happens (no breakage that day🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼).
I live in Ohio...😃
