  • Alfa Romeo is such an iconic Italian brand. This Giulia brings 4-door sedan versatility but in a beautiful shape. Under the hood is a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 that is producing a class leading 280HP & mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. Power gets to the ground through an AWD system. On the outside of the Giulia you will find 19in wheels, red painted calipers, carbon fiber treatment. On the inside you will find an upgraded 8.8in infotainment system, new touches, and finishes. Is the updated 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia the almost PERFECTt luxury sport sedan?

Thanks for doing the Alfa Giulia review. You now know what I feel every time I get in and drive mine. A 2.0L turbo will never have a lot of sound and with the Alfa that is very OK. It allows you to crank up the totally superior Sound system. Nobody ever reviews the sound systems odd enough. Speaker placement in the Giulia gives the driver and passenger a real audio experience to go along with the feel of the road you now know well. Yes.IMHO the sound system in the Giulia is fantastic. And this is just the base (non HK) system. May have to with cabin size and speaker placement. I drive a bunch of new MBs and Volvos as a shuttle driver and there is no comparison. You don’t need 14 speakers to get good sound. I have music on a flash drive so I can say this is apples to apples. Cabin is very quiet so music really is a great surround sound experience. Like having the band playing live from the back seat.

Since these cars don't sell very well, it's quite easy to get $5,000+ off asking price. So, the actual price range of a base or Sport (not the Sport Ti) is really around the mid $35k range.

      1. At about 2,000 miles the sunroof wouldn’t operate properly. I recalibrated it myself by pushing buttons in the right sequence). No issues since.
      2. Three separate software updates. All performed by dealership under warranty.
      3. “Max Oil Level Exceeded” warning. My fault, I topped it up too much! Had dealer drain oil and perform first service at same time.
      4. Door mirrors would misalign after starting car and not go back to preset memory positions. Happened after the 20k Service. Took car back and they replaced switches in doors to fix. This took a few days (had to order the parts) so they gave me a loaner. Done under warranty.
.5. Two CEL’s. Both due to vacuum hose on intake coming off. The hose was part of an aftermarket air intake mod (EC V2). Fixed myself, no issues since.
That’s everything. Still on original battery and tires (run-flat Pirellis). Looks like it does need new tires soon. Car runs really well and looks new as I’ve only hand washed my baby!

2017 Ti Lusso here. 30K miles and she's like butter. I don't even bother manual shift; in Dynamic the ZF shifts so fast this little 2.0l 4-cylinder throws me back into the seat. The steering is so direct I feel like I can write my name in cursive with the front wheels. I did a 1500 mile road trip last month and 35 mpg on cruise at 75mph. 20 years from now people currently in the 4th grade will be buying these out of a dusty garage and going bananas with joy at what they found.

2 years in with my TI Sport and it still definitely tugs on my heart strings. Go to the window and just look at it parked every once in a while. Would loved to have gotten the Quadrifoglio, but that was $25k more at the time, and I have a fairly loaded TI Sport. I think a 350hp turbo-four or naturally aspirated v6 would be absolute perfection for this car.

Gorgeous car and agree that it needs the carbon blade spoiler on the trunk. I would definitely consider this car if I was in the market for a car like it. I would still probably lean towards a C43 but the Giulia is a great looking car.

Joe! You mentioned some things in your video I wanted to clarify for viewers. The A on the DNA drive mode selector is for Advanced Efficiency. Also, the 8.8 screen is new but the only difference is it’s now a touch screen and can be split into 3 views. Before 2020, both the 6.5 and 8.8 inch screens weren’t touch screens

@@BrianJohnson-kh7mg I actually really love the Stinger as well; I leased a GT1 for a year and loved it but I didn't love the gas mileage or my sky high insurance. When the lease was up I purchased a GT-Line, which has the 2.0T, which is more than adequate for my needs. Insurance is a lot cheaper, too haha.
