Are you from the United States? Please understand that certain cultures have VERY different humor & if you don’t understand it, it’s partly that you aren’t privy to the nuances of the culture.
Dry and sarcastic humor, witty humor are hard for some people to get. People on the autism spectrum don’t usually get sarcasm or dry humor.
To me, it can be very funny. I just happen to be able to read nuance, body language, micro expressions and I can usually easily tell when someone is joking, or not.
@@isaacl.baldeonguerra1623 just of note, my ex has Aspergers... (on the spectrum) and wasn’t diagnosed until he was almost 45.
He’s a successful physician. It wasn’t until many relationship issues (especially regarding communication, emotional attunement, reciprocity) were very problematic...that I finally insisted he get evaluated. Fortunately he was open, as many with Aspergers are in denial. Anosognosia type thing, lack of metacognition etc. It makes it very hard to recognize in oneself. However, some are relived to have an answer for why they experience social/relational difficulties, more than the norm.
Dry, sarcastic humor was lost on him, as well as many funny things in movies or shows. He missed a lot as a result.
He’s not a bad person, just wired very different. He’s very bright in certain ways, as are most who have Aspergers. High concentration in physicians, engineers, computer specialists...anything where systems can be followed & understood.
@@isaacl.baldeonguerra1623 and yes, I’m happy I can catch it! It makes life that much more enjoyable. Life is filled with enough sadness and seriousness (mine included) so I appreciate the humor in many aspects where I do get it.
I do generally find many things funny. It’s the ability to see differ angles and the hilarity of being human.

That's a huge head!! I think the whole Clooney bit of Jackman moving in circles was to make sure he stayed in orbit around that melon. You always hear how nice Hugh Jackman is, and he proved it's true, because he didn't stare even a bit at that head. Conan's like a two sticked Lollipop. Are we sure Jackman doesn't have a small head? He looks normal. Conan's head looks like one of the optical illusions where it's actually 6 feet in front of his body and everyone else.

Chinese here, mandarin is not easy to learn period. I still learn new word to write every now and then. Its understandable when Hugh Jackman learn this classic song for 2 months when he has zero knowledge about the language😄 still love his enthusiasm for taking the opportunity to learn mandarin, not to mention singing it, kudos!

I have to think Conan must have had considerably less time to learn the song than Jackman did. While they both perform with confidence enough to make the song work for me, I’d be curious to hear (from you and/or any Mandarin speaker) how well they’re each actually doing with the song.

Wow this was Conan at the top of his game. So much energy from everyone, audience included. It kind of felt like a lot of it died off as his show on TBS went on. Maybe due to his getting older, or just my not having watched enough of it.
That was actually a great impression he got his movements and mannerisms down to a T

These old videos make me long for the days when shows can have audiences again. I enjoy those quiet small shows where it's only the host talking to viewers on their TV or youtube, or wherever they watch it from. There's a bit of a cozy intimacy there. But sometimes you just can't beat the energy of a crowd.
I watched a live conan show in L.A. with Gary Oldman back in 2014 and Conan was a very nice host. He stayed a little bit after to talk to the audience. Seems like a good guy.

What an amazing episode. A couple things, first I did not expect Conan to be taller than Hugh Jackman, secondly, when he busted out with the song with Hugh Jackman, I was blown away! That was AWESOME. Oh and lastly, Hugh's impersonation of Conan, and Conan's reaction had me in stitches... LOL
