    It's hard to watch these without bringing a tear to eye. It's not really sad, it's more of a sense of longing. I can't tell you how many hours of knowledge and joy this man brought to my life. Stage 4 tonsil cancer didn't get me cause jack always brought a sale to my face. This treasure did what he loved, feed so many bellies they can't be counted. What can be counted is how many people he touched. RIP my brother. I just wonder if he got the best care available? I can hear him breathing very hard in this video. I hope he had the best insurance? In life we meet few people that you know you are a better person because THEY were in your life. I still can't wrap my head around he is no longer here

      @@paolo-n2000 .you made my day. I always wonder if any well thought out, heartfelt, messages are ever read? When something touches my I think it's my duty to let them know. There is enough negitive posts that are made just to push someone's buttons. I feel sorry for those little minds. I think if you just egnore them they will go away. DON'T FEED THE TROLL. The best text I ever got was from his kids on how they looked forward to my words and they always shared them. That hit me right in the heart. I'm proud that he did all that work so his cooking, words, smile will live on forever, not just in my heart. There is a great site just a few acres farm that does the same thing.     My all time favorite videos of Jack's is when he goes on at length talking about his mother and how she would do things. She and his mentors in the different areas of the country he has worked over the years. Is there a more down to earth man on CZcams? It's not just his cooking. Throughout his travels Jack has learned what truly makes life worth living... It's the relationships with family and friends we've had forever. What's better than an entire day preparing a wonderful meal, sitting down and enjoying the fruits of that labor with your family and close friends. I also love when Jack talks about planning ahead and shopping for the week so you can go home and cook for your family instead of going out all the time. My family has always made a point of sitting down together and Sundays for dinner together. What could really be more important??

    I’ve been following this page for quite some time. Noticed a long absence and learned the unfortunate news through all the comments. Gotta say the Daddy Jack seemed like a genuinely happy guy.     I drove into Addison Texas yesterday and ate at Nate's seafood after hearing Jack talk about their friendship.
    Gumbo and PoBoy combo.
    Picked up a sack of Crawfish and cooked them last night for Anniversary dinner!!
    Wife pretty happy, kids too.

    Aunt Ann's saffron soup. Mmmm,. During the ice storm this week, I put out over 50lbs of bird food for my birds. I had to. Because, one of the male cardinals will peck on the kitchen window if I ever forget to put out the feed. PS. There is nothing better than a glass of ice water. Especially if your thirsty!

    I shot a lot of pheasants, geese, ducks, dove, chucker, grouse when I was a kid. We used to do a lot of engine block cooking come goose season.

    I don't mind either if some knuckles or some other bits of interesting things end up in my bowl. It does distinguish the dish as homemade like you said. The only thing that makes me lose my appetite is excessive gristle in prepackaged ground beef.

    Here in Iran, our 4000 years traditional medicine for high blood pressure are : cinnamon - apple and orange juice - sweet basil - garlic - wild hawthorn - celery seeds and juice - cardamoms - cumin, etc...

    Jack, what brands of olive oil do you like, I don’t know enough about it. I hear there is a lot of crap oil on the market. You might consider doing a video on whats good and whats best to avoid.
