You, my friend were raised like I was even tho you are much younger. My child was raised the same way. Old school rules. There is nothing wrong with corporal punishment, like in school years ago with the swat board as long as it isn't abused. It is a very effective way to teach right from wrong, and about consequences for our actions, both good and bad. Bless you my friend.
