Are you thinking about drop spindles for your classic Mustang? Maybe because you want to cram a 315 tire in the front? Listen, we've been there, we've tried that, and it made Ol' Blue slower and worse to drive. Here's Mike Maier explaining why drop spindles in a classic Mustang are a bad idea.

Interesting. There are other drop spindles on the market that are working well.

Does putting a large tire screw up how the car corers?
Example: if I were to use your front suspension and setup but use a 295 or 315 tire will have the same grip as a 275?

Awesome info. I cannot wait to get your kit. Saving for the full apex package. Just got into the 65s after having fox bodies for awhile. Not going to lie though, the 315s on front are such a mean look. I want it badly lol!

Would you recommend doing the Shelby upper control arm drop on a 71 Torino or springs to lower front 1" - 2"

So if CAM T allows a 335 tire, how many events have been won with something much smaller?

Do you have a favorite big pin spindle for those of us who are trying to get rid of our small pin spindles?

Check out the ones on our website. We've used these with a ton of builds. mikemaierinc.com/products/64-73-mustang/front-suspension/64-73-mustang-big-pin-spindles/

But a stock fender/ stock spindle can’t take a 275 tyre. Most are running 225

Theres a 68 coupe mustang using Tci engineering pro touring ifs withe the swaybar mounted 4.09 back with the mounts on the lower arm moved also, and he's running 285 30 18 on an 11.00 wide wheel. Bit can run a 315 and the car rips.
Mike knows his stuff but I think the tci guys stuff is better for the money.
