You have the same skills while playing the same battle ground map as everyone else. If he plays in a BG with everyone else at the same resonance it is literally no different than a complete f2p team vs f2p team.
I get why the car analogy was used, but it is more similar to something like the fashion industry. When you purchase a ridiculously overpriced item of clothing it has nothing to do with function, it is purely to flaunt to others how much money you can throw around.

In regards to you wondering the logic behind why he chooses to spend to be on a level playing field versus playing a game that starts that way - He won’t admit it but he wants the exclusivity of playing a game at the top level but simply isn’t skilled enough or willing to put it in to be top level at a game that requires that work. It’s very easy to just pay to be at the top of a game like this and say you’re the best. A good way to spend money to pump up your channel without actually doing the work. A man with an ego

"I didnt spent to shit on f2p player" thats legit what he did u dont have to spend that amount of money to be viable in pvp even in diablo immortal... no refund he got what he paid for and probably ruined alot of f2p/lesser spending players winrate due to his whaling. what happens to the people that lost to him? do they get their losses removed after he refunded? if the answer is no he shouldnt get a refund. If they refund him i can see a meta of p2w games from blizzard that enable spending big on release of the game and get content from it and refund after hype dies down
