Hello Everyone!! 🤗 I’m so excited to share my FIRST room makeover with you today! I’ve created my own craft/office space with a few easy DIY updates and a pretty fun IKEA hack! Also, this DIY chalkboard/ textured wall for only $11!? I’m so in LOVE with it! I had such a good time making over this space and I really hope everyone enjoys!

Justin, the whe room is so beautiful! I am in love with the wall and the dresser with the Hairpin legs! I am watching you while we are bracing for another Hurricane/storm.... no gas.... no water.... nothing on the shelves. We were lucky enough to get a little to run our Generator!! My Mother in law purchased us one the last Hurricane that hit us, Laura. Now Delta is coming. God bless them. We have a roof over our heads and a safe place to rest. I have been sick so Im catching up on my favorite CZcamsrs. 🤗❤❤🙋♀️🙇♀️.... I love the wall just as it is... If you decide to use it as a chalkboard wall I'm sure I will love it too. For now as an accent wall it looks great.

I am blown away how the texture on your black wall turned out. Whether you write on it or not, it's gorgeous!
A tip for anyone wanting an actual chalkboard wall to write on. You don't have to mix anything with latex flat paint to make a chalkboard. Flat paint alone primed with chalk (cover the whole thing with the side of a piece of chalk then erase) works perfectly. It's what I did in our grandson's room. The priming is the trick. It keeps shadows from anything else you later write/draw on the wall.
Love the update to the simple Ikea chest of drawers and yes, everyone needs at least one Ikea Råskog in their craft room. I have ten total around our home. Three in my sewing/craft room and three in my art studio with the rest around our home.

I like how tall it is. I'm short but I would still like not having the bottom drawer towards the floor. I always store stuff I never use or care as much about in the bottom. Love how it now has a cool industrial modern/MCM look. Could go either way.
I love it!! - the only thing I’d probably do differently would be that I’d probably keep some kind of day bed in there, that way you could still have someone stay, and also used the vertical space! But I love that wall, came out great!!

Hi Justin, some yrs ago I did a curtain and soft furnishings course and learnt that all curtains should be hung (this is the rail) at least 3/5 " above the window if allowed and same at sides,this allows for maximum light to come in a room, to give the illusion that the windows are taller then go higher and if you've only a small narrow window go wider at the sides.
Great that your so tall as it's easier for you to paint ceilings,😉 love the matt black look and room is fabulous, only wish I had one.😍🤩😍🤩

Yes!! I love a shout out! Plus its kinda hard not to be inspired by Drew and Megan. They are two of my favorites as well. I try so hard to not pick favorites because I respect and appreciate all of the people who are brave enough to take their creativity to the next level and film it for all to see. You sir should be so proud! This room is perfect! My favorite is the black wall. Love that textured concrete/plastered vibe! ❤😘

OH, it is SO beautiful! I agree with others that said it looks relaxing, which is surprising with something as bold as a black wall! But it's really beautiful - I love your aesthetic and the whole mood of not just your look, but your videos.
