Seans rig and his driving skills came a long way in 2yrs!
SATURDAY CARTOON WOOT!
Atta guy Sean ! Love the evolution of the rig and your ability behind the wheel seems to consistently progress ! Thanks again for cleaning up my shop and draggin that 14bolt away hahaha . Greasy Jesus , green bastard and tons sounds like a recipe for a good time !!
Thanks Brady never disappoint
Keep wrenchin, cant wait to get you back out there! Its gonna be oneton parties all summer!
Hello from the Okanagan/Kootenays, Sean has my twin, were just finishing my SAS up on my green 617 powered 3rd gen pickup
Thats awesome! Cool to hear of more Toyotas with something other than a 22re in them!
@@PathmakerProductions I'd love to come wheeling with you guys next time I'm on the island, but I think my truck isn't island spec enough, it's still to clean, hahahaha
don't worry, one day in the woods and the trails will fix that right up for ya! haha
No bead-locks, 5 PSI pressure: have heard of skipping the Torque wrench, but never finger tight lugs, just outstanding. Truely an original rig and great wheelin' ta-boot!
Bahaha that was too funny..........do ya ever feel like you forgot something when out in the shop?....yea, check your lugnuts!
@@PathmakerProductions He has loose nuts!
With tons, finaly gonna have some competition for the pathmaker
Its not a competition Will.............also, his toyota tcase is gonna have a few things to say about how good his rig is. Its gonna be like my back, just lettin the team down all the time hahaha
@@PathmakerProductions anyone that says it's not a competition is in last place.
And thats why I'll always be a loser, because I don't compete with my friends, we're just out havin fun.
@@PathmakerProductions thas why we love ya brother
Sick, love my Saturday cartoons with the boys.
Damn good time right there.
I'm really lookin forward to the next step, its gonna be good times!
Sean has come a long way. Can’t wait to see it done!
Its gonna be interesting..........need to find him some tires tho, those Michelins aren't gonna get him anywhere!
Love it 🚜
Always great content 😁
Cheers!
You should make a compilation of all of Jim’s roll overs next 😂
I pretty much did last week with my rollover vid haha Jim won for his 10 rollovers. Sometimes it just be like that........he's rollin over less these days tho!
That thing is cool as fuck idk what it is about it... can't wait for the stupied guy with the tons.. need more of these "walk around" videos
We've got to get Adam down to do some tuning too, I want to see the GB just spool it up and send it to the moon!
@@PathmakerProductions all the 1202 it can handle down its throat hole!
Awesome vid, love the green bastard. But are won-tons island spec anymore?😂😂
Absolutely they are.........cuz the fancy car guys are into things like portals and 4steer. Nothin more islandspec than some big dumb domestic axles on leaf springs!
My ranger will make TDiesel sounds some day...
Awesome! Love unique rigs like that
Hey guys... (short pause) welcome back... (short pause) today we uh... (short pause) lol
Its almost like I'm stupid and have to think of the things to say while the camera is rolling.....planning ahead? whats that? 😂
@PathmakerProductions all jokes aside great video, amazing Channel! Love the GB, truly the inspiration I needed for my stoke 93 toyota pickup.
Love the content keep it up!!!
They need a freaking heart button not a thumbs up just saying.
My man!
What’s he doing with the old axles? 🤔 wicked video🤟
Theyre sold already to another buddy thats SASing a 2nd gen so theres no going back!
Mine are forsale🫣
@@Fourgunner I just like spare parts but I’m thinking I gotta do wontons now
Its just a lot more fun haha
Hel ya..... How's the wonton swap coming along
I filmed a little update the other day, gotta squeeze it into a video. Its moving slow due to budget constraints but working on final placement of the front springs and then things should move forward.
@@PathmakerProductions oh I definitely understand the budget thing but can't wait to see how the beast does when it's done 👍
Are those dans old wheels off his taco?
Yes I do believe so. Good Toyota parts don't die, they just get traded around haha
Is the T-Case stock or is there a 4.7 in it?
Its stock.......the torque of the OM617 lets him get away with it.
dope truck! hi man I had a couple of questions you could help me please, my main questions are regarding the transmission of the mercedes an adapting it to toyota. did you modify the carter? what gear box are you using? are you modifying the transmission of the car? is it manual transmission? thanks a lot! im new to this world
Sean is running a Toyota R150f trans behind the OM617. There are a bunch of companies that make adapters to bolt the Mercedes engine to the Toyota Trans. Its just a stock R150f and a stock Toyota T-case behind it. Because of all the low end torque he can get away with running a single t-case where as the rest of the guys are running dual tcases for lower gearing but it doesn't seem to be needed with the OM617.
@@PathmakerProductions so basically I can use the same transmission? without spending in this adapter?
You need an adapter to bolt the OM617 Engine to the Toyota transmission, but its a part that multiple different companies make so there are a few options if you google it.
What’s the hp and torque on the om617, roughly?
About 120hp and 170ftlbs. On the neverending list is a new fuel pump which would put it up around 200hp and 250ftlbs..........but of course they come from Germany and cost a mint!
They typically dyno in a swap around 75-80 tire and about 150 tq.
Mine with the fancy pump and fancy turbo dyno'd at 113/210 in my 4runner.
It's adequate power, it's not mind blowing, don't think I'd do th swap again.
Holy smokes, 4.30 is WAY too high for 37's. 5.29 or 5.71 would be proper. If going to tons, you could get 5.38 and should net you around 24mpg on the highway.
HA, you think Sean drives this on the HWY 😆 not a chance.
@@Fparrish I haven't the slightest idea. But I've built several in the shop with 37's for mixed use and they all got 22-24 hwy. If it's offroad only, then the strength of the higher R&P + a lower tcase gear makes sense. My 7.17's in my personal truck have a pinion the size of a pencil.
None of our rigs drive on the pavement, not to mention a road or a highway so mileage means nothing! The problem with 5.29s is they're super fragile and compared to another easy to find $150 set of 4.30's you're going to have to spend $500-700 for them.
He'll be putting 5.38's in the onetons tho, they'll last longer than the Toy diffs!
@@PathmakerProductions now that you know 24mpg is achievable, maybe you'll change your mind! 😃
MPG means nothing to us.........we're all about smiles per gallon. If you're worried about fuel mileage you're in the wrong sport! I can burn 15gal of fuel in my rig while going less than 10miles, done it many times haha
How does he have so many dents but we never see them happen
