@@leederbyshire6158HEY!?
You're a fantastic teacher. I've been using Duolingo (which is also great) but obviously doesn't go in depth on the "why" certain things are said certain ways. Came here trying to find out how to tell if a noun is masculine or feminine and came away learning so much more. I'm 42 years old and my father was born in Italy, yet I've never learned to speak Italian. I'm hoping to surprise him once I've learned enough to somewhat carry a conversation. Only wish I didn't wait so long!
Lecture Notes:
1) Indefinite article: un/una
Un for masculine, Una for Feminine
2) Use Un' when a feminine word starts with a vowel.
3) Strong Sounds (for masculine):
STR, Z, GN, X, PSI, etc
Use Uno instead of Un in these cases.
4) GN = ni
X = CS
Z = DS
BUONA FORTUNA
Grazie Aditya! 😁
This is so helpful! Grazie!
I did not find a good teacher to learn Italian. I was lucky to meet you. You explain very clearly. I come to your online class willingly. Thank you very much.god bless you sir
🙏 we love to hear that! thank you for being here ❤️
the vowel died and now there is a tear - great!
A less dramatic one would be that the apostrophe stands above any missing vowel or consonant-vowel combo. Would have>would've. La acqua> L'acqua. Contractions.
That made me laugh ❤
Manu, I 16 yrs old when I met my husband who was an Italian, I learnt the Italian language from the family and friends but never understood it properly, but after watching your tutorials I now understand it properly it was the gender part that always confused me. Your tutorials are the best that I have ever listen to, ou make it so easy thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and time
Ciao Lesley! Thank you for your support, we are glad you are enjoying our videos! 💪🥰
I'm so happy about this series. It's so motivating! I really feel like I learnt more in the last days than in the last year!
We are so glad, thank you 🤗
These courses are great, and I feel confident that I will be able to learn enough Italian for my next trip to Italy. You structure your courses in logical steps, the same way a child would learn their native tongue when attending school. It just makes sense and explains the "why", which is the best way for me to learn, rather than just throwing random sentences at me and expecting me to memorize them all. Grazie!
Thank you so much for your feedback, it means a lot to us! 🥰
Thank you for linking examples back to English. It really helps understand the nuance to words and phrases.
Grazie Danaeus ☺️ we are glad you are enjoying our teaching methods 🥰
Grazie mille Manu, I have just started learning Italian. I wanted to learn a new language, i am only 13, and I thought it would be pretty cool to learn a language which no one else in my class knows. I have only started this course yesterday, but today i can already see so many things which I know about italian. This course is really easy and making it fun to learn Italian easily. I hope you are not stopping to teach Italian and things about it any time soon. Since I am not allowed to spend any money or anything here, I am not able to join your website, but thx a lot for this free of cost video.
❤️ we appreciate your support and your commitment! Grazie 🥰
Did you learn much in thr year from the video???
@@Parkerlee1000 I left in between due to my IGCSE and GCE exams. I do plan to continue it after they finish tho. I did learn a lot already tho. I can now communicate with an italian with some hurdles.
The biggest problem I faced tho, is that it requires a lot of passive listening, meaning using mobile which i m only allowed for a limited time, less than an hour a day.
I’m doing your Intermediate Level 1 yet I am finding these beginner videos useful. Things I had forgotten about.
Excellent Isabella, we are happy to hear this, keep it up 💯
You are a gifted teacher. I wish I could study with you in person!
Bravo 🤗 I travel all over and go back and forth amongst languages. I’ve spent so much time in Italy and have studied but never stuck with a program. You’re it! Fabulous! Thank you!
You may have been asking where this sea is previously but I wasn’t able to respond for some reason. It’s in Türkiye.
Wonderful! 🥰 We are glad to hear you enjoy our program!
Thank you . I’m Greek American speak Greek and English and I would like to thank you for amazing lessons . Amazing teacher ❤

Everything you have explained is so clear and make sense. It is like a logical formula to be applied in the right situation. Grazie mille, Manu.

I love this series! You are a great teacher and I’ve never been so consistent to a language program before without forcing myself lol. Thank you Manu!
This is a great compliment! Thank you so much! Keep going! 😍
Very good lesson! But writing is also important. Not only speaking is a goal.
I love this series. You are a wonderful teacher. ❤️
Thank you for your nice words, Mary Anne! You are a wonderful student 🥰
Manu, thank you so much for this excellent explanation! I wish my Beginning Italian professor at school had taught us this. It would have been SO much easier to remember which words require uno, lo, and gli. I must have written the rules down ten times before it finally started to sink in. You’re a great teacher!
Ciao Dana, thank you so much for your kind words. 🤗 We are passionate about languages and love to help people achieve their goals! Welcome on board 😁
Saving money for your course now because I learn so much from you
🥰🥰
I appreciate the written explanation because it is crucial for reading also and that helps me learn thank you
This is brilliant! Thanks so much for explaining why the indefinite article has exceptions! It's been driving me nuts trying to understand why! THANKS MANU!!
you are welcome, Sarah! 🤩 we are glad our video helped you learn!
I find this makes sense as we do the same in Welsh. ❤
Wow... I speak 3 languages, and oh wow, i can't describe, it is first time i see something like that, italian is great. Grazie.
🙏
Studio italiano da 4 anni ma ho imparato tanto già con questa serie! Grazie! Fantastico!

Grazie Mario! We love to read such comments 🌟 Enjoy the course ❤
Loving these lessons so far...I have been using Babel and I wish I had found you first grazie mille
This is so messed up. I'm learning English and Italian at the same time. I'm an Australian, but I went to school to socialise and didn't take notice of how English works. Here, I am actually learning how English works, too.
Hahaha! Your comment made me laugh! "This is so messed up!" LOL! We say that a lot in English. I will say, you are on point! 😂😂😂
Best Italian teacher ever
Grazie mille! It's a pleasure for us 😍

You are an excellent teacher. I lived in Sicily and now want to learn how to read, spell, and talk in Italian. I am only up to Lesson 6 and hope to continue. I have learned more by watching your video(s) than I have learned in the Italian course that I have taken in the past. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for being here, Dawn! We appreciate your commitment 🙏❤️
You are an amazing teacher as well ❤️❤️😘😘love from 🇧🇩
🤗 thank you so much!

Excellent. Thank you.
thank you for your support, Marisa 🤩
Respect for care!
Ur a great teacher
I am trying to learn English and Italian at the same time by your videos 😅 thanks!
Thank you for being here!
FANTASTIC EXPLANATIONS FROM A GIFTED TEACHER
Best teacher
I have been using the Pimsleur method for years and kept getting stuck in the later, more difficult lessons, and gave up. I wish I had found this first! The listen and repeat method could only get me so far. It doesn't teach you language rules, how to identify masculine vs feminine words, articles, or conjugating verbs. You just have to pick up on it all along the way. I'm finding that learning the grammar in English and actually understanding why I need to say things a certain way, is invaluable. I will put my Italian to the test in a month, and I'm so happy I found these lessons first! Fantastico!
Nice one to be able to differentiate between these articles and when to use which
This was a great lesson! Really enjoy learning this way and you are an excellent teacher.
Thanks! We really appreciate your feedback ❤️
Thanks a lot of

Soooo helpful!! tysm
Glad you found it helpful! 😍
You are AMAZING. Grazie.
😍 grazie a te, Lisa Marie! thank you for being here with us 🥰
Manu stole my lifelong-learner heart when he said "you gotta know why something is happening so you never question it again." I can't even express how much that means to my brain lol, so many "educators" that don't give you the why and you're stuck in doubt because you don't REALLY understand when what they've just taught you applies because you don't even know why it implies in the scenario in which you learned it, so frustrating
5:02 that's logical and funny at the same time😂
you make everything so understandable thank you so much TT
🙏 that's why we are here! thank you for your comment, Zuri 🤗
Thank you so much for your work, this course is extremely helpful and entertaining !

This is an amazing resource. Such a fantastic teacher
Thank you, Tom!
grazie mille, molto utile
Gabi, grazie per il tuo feedback! 🥰
Excellent teaching! Thank you so much
Thank you😍
I don't want to give too much away. But this particular part of Manu's lessons gave me more insight into Italian documents I was already reading. A common phrase in those documents is "Uffiziale/Ufficiale dello Stato Civile" which basically translates to what we would call "Civil Registrar." Often associated with the "Sindaco" (Mayor) of the town. And Manu made me realize why it is "delLO STato" because of that word "Stato" which he explains here and I was reading those documents and taking the translation for granted and not realizing it. So now when I read those documents all of the little things I am learning I recognize even with documents I had already transcribed and translated.
Grazie! We are glad to help! 😁
Amo questi veloce nuovo serie. Ho ancora bisogno di fare il tuo corso per (beginners).
A simple tip for everyone. When you don't know or can't remember the Italian word when writing just put the English word in brackets. Also don't stress about the Noun and adjective sequence to much just put the word down when beginning.
Grazie Damien, we are happy to have you here with us, and thanks for sharing your tips with all of us 🤗
Love your attitude! You are simply an amazing teacher!
🤗 thank you so much, Shimali!
You are the best teacher ❤

Grazie a te!
Grazie Manu! Do you know why in italiano the imperative of the verbo scusare is Scusa for tu and Scusi for Lei, but for parlare it is Parli for tu and Parla for Lei? Why the change in ending for one verb but the opposite for the other?
Ciao Jason, our team will create a list with all of your questions and Manu will answer them in a video very soon 🤗
I loooove your lessons!! I'm here calling my cats "un gato nero with occhi verde"...🤣🤣😍 my husband looks at me like i'm crazy 😁
Love that! Even talking in Italian with your cats could be an amazing exercise in our opinion eheh 😊
Manu, how come ‘Artista’ does not become ‘Artisto’ for the masculine but it changed for ‘Psicologo’?
