Could you guys do the music video for Michael Nesmith's RIO?
The video is six minutes in length.
It's on the Michael Nesmith's Videoranch channel.
I would much rather the official video and not some audio clip.
Back in 1977 Countdown played the music video for ''Rio'' and we Countdown kids went nuts for it.
The clip was quite sophisticated at the time, and we didn't mind that he was an ex-Monkee.
RIO was the first song I requested on the radio through seeing it on Countdown.
The song got to # 4 on the Australian charts, and it all had to do with us kids repeatedly requesting the song.
I don't think the song had the same success anywhere else, and Nesmith was appreciative of our efforts.
I got to say guys, music videos were pretty important component for us Countdown kids.
A lot of times it was the only way we could find out about a song. See the video on Countdown.
Radio weren't always willing to play cutting edge artists unless we pushed for it.
I would like it if you guys viewed Michael Nesmith's ''Rio'' (6 minute long - Micahel Nesmith's Videorach).

Wonderful and thanks for the name check.
I've always adored Lene Lovich and her hits album is on regular rotation in my car. She was a huge influence on a later acts. You can hear her in Gwen Stefani amongst others, not sure it was direct but I think it's clear.
Nina Hagen and Lene were great friends and Nina did a cover of this on, I think, Unbehagen.
As for Devo - they were on Stiff with Lene and the Stiffies all did a cover of 'Be Stiff', of which Lene's is a stand out - it's wonderful.
Please check out 'Bird Song' - it's pretty much my favourite and is a bit darker.

Lene Lovich was a professional screamer for horror films, etc, for a while - not every actress can do them, so she'd be called in for overdubbing. If you want an example, listen to Cuckoo Clock, by Rachel Sweet - there's a fine example of Lene's work in that!
I fancied Lene like mad when I first saw her on TV, and many years later ended up having a long relationship with a woman with a very similar facial structure. Lucky old me. eh?

In 1979 the Nina Hagen Band did a great German cover version of "Lucky Number" (titled "Wie leben immer… noch") on their album Unbehagen. Actually, I knew the latter before having listened to the original by Lene Lovich, which is why I am perhaps more attached to the cover by the Nina Hagen Band, nevertheless the two versions each have their unique charm and specificity.
