been watching him since his senior debut last season and im not afraid to say that he's the next big thing in football.
Only those who actually watch his whole games ,really knows what he's all about. ✌
He's exactly what United needs, not worried one bit about the current midfield setup, as most will be gone come the summer. United needs to do their business early for once and bring him in even if it's to loan him back to Benfica for the rest of the season. Imagine Neves and Andre as together in the middle. They might not be tall but would get the ball quickly and make things happen.

as a benfica fan i really have to say that he is very good, the type of player that cant play bad, he is so intelligent with and without the ball, in the big games he appears. I wouldn't say that he is a spanish 2010 miedfilder, i think he is the definition of a team player, he kinda reminds me of kante to be honest, we play with 2 player in the middle and he covers the all pitch. Another great lad from the academy "seixal campus" and i wish he stays until its impossible no to sell.
If Benfica had Daniel Gore, they would play him regularly and we would be bidding 100m for him. Ridiculous.

As much as it easier to explain on the players who can come in, there have been no answers to important question as to how those signings will affect the development of homegrown first team academy players and positional held current players with long term contract like mason mount. Realistically no incoming signings signings can be considered with out evaluating its consequences to the already existing players.

He is everything we need and the perfect partner for Kobbie Mainno in the double pivot finally a well rounded #8 rather than a #10 like mount or eriksen who are either not suited to playing with the ball in deeper areas, inconsistent or incompetent defensively idc how much he will cost when u watch him play u can see he is the next big thing like Enzo, Bellingham, Camavinga, Musiala, Pedri etc he shows such a wealth of knowledge and ability for such a young age and when he physically develops united will have 2 of the best midfielders itw with mainoo and neves

@@liamr194 He's exactly what u mentioned, a box-to-box 8 if u ask me, anyone who can carry that well needs to be given license to push forward freely, he's definitely good at playing 6 as well but I feel it just shackles the rest of his abilities because a has a lot of defensive responsibility

I'm not saying I'm some football guru or that I know more than the professionals, but In my humble opinion I think both Enzo Le Fee and Jacob Ramsey will most likely be cheaper, are already further along in their development and could make an instant impact in our midfield. I don't understand why our scouts always go from extreme to extreme. They either go for players at the ends of their careers or unproven potential. How about split the difference once in while and target players who are matured but still young enough (20-26), have actually proven themselves and have the data that indicate their suitability for the tactics the manager wants to play? Both Le Fee and Ramsey are amongst the top ball carriers and progressive passers in Europe's top 5 leagues, and from what I've seen, this kid is nowhere to be seen in regard to both metrics... Ok, rant over.

I watched a clip of this player and either the clip was meant to make him look bad or it was 10 mins of a weak player who needs to develop a lot first!I have seen more than 50 midfielders in Eredivise, Belgium league and French league who are stronger, further along in their development and are much cheaper!
Even the Benfica games I watched this season, the midfield looks weak!Neves reminds me of Juan Mata being asked to play defensive midfield!
When I am bored and watch Europa, Conference league etc there are better midfielders from clubs I have never even heard of!
I like Enzo Le Fee and he seems like the closest to FDJ but cheaper if ETH is looking for that kind of profile of a player!
I will not support United spending more than 20-40M on midfielders as we need to stop wasting money and being the biggest mugs in Europe!

I think he needs to develop for a season at least at a top-level(Like buy him and loan him back to Benfica for a season). But first, United should get rid of aging Casemiro and also Erikson. They are highly quailty midfielders . Point is they are aging now. One should get at least Paulinho from Fulham and also West Ham's James Ward Prowse.
Until ETH is relieved of his duties no sane fan should want us to purchase another player. Once hes relieved of his duties we can begin rebuilding the side.
It's sad to see local Academy players as Kobbie Mainoo induction is at slow pace. Gore too not given opportunity.

@@iangatere6459 Yes. Not always required to get a "buy foreign expensive" player. Antony kept wasting matches (If we had good right winger, we could have done much better last year itself. Compared to 100M Antony, Pellistry would have been better option to try. Atleast overall seems dangerous. Can cross to "Hojlund" too. And let's hope Amad is persisted & given opportunity(should be nack soon).
Now again midfield, let's hope Amrabat starts improving. He seems to have capability, maybe limited performance sue to some "fitness issues". Doesn't seem very fast(though he's strong).

Reminds me of one of my favorites. Ander Herrera. This kid has the dog in him. Whether he suits the structure at United is a debate all on its own, considering that purchasing him is determined on other purchases for it to make sense. If at the right price I would say United should buy him. Nothing over 70 mil must be considered. I hear rumors of a 100 mil release clause... I definitely think that he can play as a 6. I just don't think the "destroyer" type CDM's that are being mentioned is good enough. You just don't get this types of players everyday, so buying might be a luxury considering all the priority signings that must be made. Definitely a conflicting one!!! 😕

Hannibal isn't a top player and doesn't have the potential either. He's hard working so could become a bottom half Premier league squad player but he shouldn't be anywhere near our 1st team, apart from effort name one quality he has at a high level. Amazing scouting AJ. I cant wait for our Sporting Director to change and we get someone in (Paul Mitchell) who can actually sit with the Manager, review the squad then sell on who does not fit in and then bring in players to complement who stays. Personally, I like Neves profile but I dont see this one happening.
If the new sporting director doesn't relive ETH of his duties then unfortunately its going to be more of the same. Fingers crossed they do the right thing!

Full disclosure I am 100% behind Ten Hag. Its not an easy job, made worse by the myriad of issues no Manager should need to tackle and its a rebuild for a reason. Arsenal and Liverpool fans can relate. All other teams have proper structures to ensure they can support the Manager and he focuses on coaching and the standard of things internally are so bad, anyone expecting results by the second season were being unrealistic.
@bernardabang4107 you lost me at 100% behind tag hag people who say that usually can't grasp the concept of context or have inability to compartmentalise the problems at the boardroom level from those being inflicted on the squad by ETH.
Looking at this season the toxic positivity around the club in the face of clear evidence is getting too much now. It's been a feature of the fanbase for many years now. So many "fans" laud the Mediocre performances from their favourites clinging on to abirtary stats that "prove" their guys are playing well despite the eye test clearly showing otherwise. This toxic positivity has now been extended to our below par manager with excuse after excuse or a downright refusal to offer honest critique on the garbage being served up week after week (even though these types of performances have become the norm since as far back as February). is no evidence he is the man for the job. So if your behind him It can't be on this seasons performance. So if its on last seasons performance here is why context is important. Yes we finished 3rd but many of our rivals were in flux, this season they aren't hence why we are doing much worse. Our cup win again apply context and look at the draw and teams faced to win the cup. This guy is a hype job and unfortunately fans are falling for the propaganda.
Our away form was terrible, historical losses to our rivals. Our signings have been terrible. Poor man management falling our with senior pros who are serial winners And all this under ETH has extended into to this season.
Interms of a replacement manager that is a flawed argument to use in defence of keeping ETH. At this point get in an interim manager till the end of the season. Then recruit a manager depending on seasons results elsewhere.

UCL performance terrible. Results In the leauge terrible minus matches against some of the worst teams In the leauge. Going in too some of our biggest matches this season players he brought( over paid for btw) don't even make the starting XI. instead of asking blind ETH supporters what the club and structure has done to "hold him back" ( despite backing him with 400 million on his own targets) I simply ask what has he done well ?

Apparently they have a £100m asking price on him?? I know that’s his release clause, but apparently they don’t want to let him go for any lower. He seems good, but that’s ridiculous. We still have Amrabat, Mount, and Mainoo. Two of which have just been signed, none of which have been given enough game time to judge whether they’re good enough to be starting for us. I don’t get the point in signing more expensive players when we aren’t even playing the players we currently have. Maybe we will sell Scott and Eriksen, but I don’t see that happening when they’re currently starting over Amrabat and Mount tbh. I just really don’t understand what ETH is doing atm. How can he know what we need when he’s not playing players he’s just bought? Then he says that he doesn’t have the right players to play the way that he wants, even tho he’s choosing to play the players who were already at the club over the players he chose to buy? It doesn’t inspire confidence at all.
