When I was a kid like 15years ago I went to school with a girl who’s mom ran a “mommy blog”. Privacy did not exist in that house, everything got posted. Her every tantrum, bad day, overtired whining or injury got posted for thousands of anonymous strangers and to make it worse kids at school found it and bullied her about it. A lot of kids weren’t allowed to be friends with her because they’d be talked about in the next entry. I fully believe mommy blogs and family CZcams channels that post every day are abusive because to keep up with that schedule you have to do away with privacy to generate enough content

Along with family vlog channels, I absolutely HATE channels with neurodivergent kids and adults getting babied just because of their disability. I saw a mom on tiktok film her son having a breakdown and posting it on the internet for "educational" purposes. It's not educational, it's humiliating and its sickening how normal it is for neurodivergent people to be taken advantage of in vulnerable moments where privacy is needed the most.

Even worst if the abuse on children does count. Daddyofive is an infamous example of what every parents shouldn't be. I'm glad the two kids (Cody and Emma) cut ties with the dad and step mom stay with their real mom who won the custody. Everyone on the web knows what's going.
The reupload of the videos does exist but it displays the legacy as one of the worst CZcamsrs on the list.

Agree 100%. There's this one channel called Fathering Autism that's particularly bad with this. (or at least they used to be- I haven't heard anything about them in a while) The dad claims their channel is to help other parents with autistic kids, but believe it or not, there's a way to do that WITHOUT shoving a camera in your kid's face 24/7 and violating their privacy. It's pretty clear their daughter doesn't even want to be on camera most of the time anyway. Just because someone has a disability and is, in the case of this kid, nonverbal, doesn't mean they don't deserve the same rights to privacy as everyone else.

absolutely. "autism moms" are some of the worst people ive ever had the misfortune of encountering online. half of them write articles about hating their child and wishing they would be cured. they talk about how their kids make THEIR lives harder without considering the pressure theyre constantly putting on their kids. a lot of them straight up film their kids having breakdowns and post it publicly. imagine being that kid, growing up, and finding the videos/articles of your mom broadcasting your symptoms to the entire world and wishing you were "normal". what a nightmare

And even just based on the way she packs their lunches and knows all their favorite foods and snacks is very very wholesome.

There’s a few good gems. Not all of it is bad or exposes things that shouldn’t be seen. I think some people forget that we don’t live with these people. Not everyone is out to do malicious shit.
So anyway, thecampisis channel is funny, it’s mostly the husband and wife ball busting each other, with occasional appearances from the kids. The other one I love is Beleaf in Fatherhood. He actually has educational videos where he just really shows you what it’s like being a parent of his family. You get to see all the interaction with his kids, and he psychologically breaks down and analyzes things. It’s also impressive to see the levels of communication skills his family has, all the way down to the youngest baby who’s maybe like 2? it’s pretty interesting and the intention is clearly not to expose anything so it’s all good by me.

I used to be a fan of Dance Moms and a lot of what you said aligns with what happened on that show. They'd put little girls in sexy and skin-colored clothes because that will draw people in out of sheer curiosity. Then people would talk about it and more people would see the show.
I don't even know how many times the girls on that show had panic attacks. The producers LOVED that shit. These little girls are saying they can't breathe, and they're so stressed out because they're afraid of their dance teacher. And it's not like their moms could just take them somewhere else, they were contracted to it.
And the producers set things up to make people look bad. It didn't matter if it was a child or an adult. For example, Peyton was told to say her and the rest of her team danced better than anyone else there, and they made it look like she said she was better than her teammates. She got death threats on social media because the producers made her look bad.
Most of those girls are in their late teens and early 20s. The world watched them grow up. A lot of them (and their mothers) have been talking about the realities of the "reality" show they were on. How fake it was, how being on the show affected their mental health etc. It's becoming too easy to take advantage of vulnerable people and the reasons for doing so are much more narcissistic than ever.

A few weeks ago my daughter was watching a family vlog channel and there was a wildfire, and the mom kept trying to volg and talk about upcoming things for the channel as the dad is telling her they need to pack because it was they were told to be prepared to evacuate soon. And it took the mom like a solid 10 minutes in video to finally start to take it “seriously”. I watched the whole thing because I just couldn’t understand how you would risk putting your family in danger to talk about your vlog. It was also the only video they had with the comments turned off!

The saddest part was when you speculated that the majority of children watching these channels are those from broken homes. It's heartbreaking and at the same time the kid is watching a dysfunctional family without even realising they are. Being exposed to these shitty examples of parenting could really mess a child up in the future if they start a family of their own. This is how they're learning to be parents themselves.

As for the kids of the family vlog channels, I can’t imagine the level of paranoia that would come from being constantly seen by millions regularly. Feeling like you have to be “palatable” and socially perform, becoming too closed off to enforce boundaries you never had, becoming too open because you’re used to the scrutiny and display, etc. it’s overall a destructive thing for everyone

When I was a child I used to watch family vlogs because I was in an abusive family and also in solitary confinement in an institution every day for six years, (no I didn't watch while in solitary that's not how it works) and watching these families helped me pretend I had a loving and caring functional family.

It’s not even just family’s either, it’s couples as well. I remember seeing a tiktok of this woman filming her husband who was crying outside of the house with the caption “I’ve never seen him cry before, this is so sad”. Clearly the guy went outside and cried to avoid shame, and then she films him and puts him on the fucking internet for views.

Beleaf In Fatherhood is a great family channel. The dad’s name is Beleaf haha. And he does commentary throughout his videos. He’s really funny and breaks down the emotions his children go through. He makes music that’s actually not bad. He always says shit like “I have a lot to learn and my kids are my teachers”. His family is black and he uses that to uplift his children. I love them haha

@@Lucas-Nunes There are many growth hacking (new marketing methods) tools that allow anyone to find public user profiles on social medias based on location, interests, family situation, career, etc...
The worst enemy to privacy is not the companies or the governments, it's the fucking humans sharing their privacy to each others. People crying out and spending 100s of dollars in VPN, anti-virus, password vaults, encryption tools, etc... Are the same ones who share their lives on social medias.
It's like going the extra miles to put triple layers of obstruction to your windows but letting your front door open with a sign that say "we got anything you looking for in there". I hope for you your family understands and choose to delete these pictures before some creeps save them and start sharing them around. It happened to a lot of folks in the early 2000s unfortunately and these pictured are still being uploaded to shady websites and message boards. :/

@@Lucas-Nunes Small towns are the worst when it comes to technology awareness. My family was from one too but thank god I became a software engineer so I could move out for this shit hole !
As far as your account goes I'd say unfortunately it's already too late. There are thousands of program owned by third party entities called "scrappers" that navigate social medias and parse public profiles to store user informations into databases. Chances are your account has already been processed by multiple scrappers at this point. The only way to get red it of it is to manually delete it (and have access to it) but the scrappers who already processed it have won.
If you are really scared, foil hat andy, you could always make new accounts with the same name and same past but with new present. Lie about your eduction, relationship, current country/city, join groups you don't care about, etc... That way scrappers who already have processed your original account will find one of those fake accounts, get confused about who is he real you and update their database with fake data.

@@Lucas-Nunes But you won't be able to escape Facebook itself using this method. Facebook are able to track people who don't even own Facebook accounts. They use what are known are "Graph Based Algorithms" to deduct related internet users that have never interacted with each others. It's kinda crazy when you hear it but it's a very common practice as well.
