I think it sounds awesome The cleans are really butter I can't get over how unique this thing is.
Yngwie would still get it scalloped
Bob C ock he would probably but xxl jumbo frets on it
But does it djent?
METAKU (Metal Otaku) | Anime + Metal! You sir
Yep, sounds just like an electric guitar. Quelle surprise.
Thanks for the second vid; it really gives me a better idea what it sounds like in normal playing conditions. I'd never buy one of these, but it's still really cool to see something so drastically different from the 60 year old designs that dominate the guitar industry.
Thanks for responding to those clean-related comments. You play very well and are doing a public service demonstrating this odd-looking and innovative item.
The reason for the tapping was for multifinger tapping. Our thumbs usually rest on the top of the fretboard for the tapping hand... I know mine does at least, but this does look like it would be pretty sweet to just have in my collection! :]
This looked amazing until I saw the price.
yeah and one has to appreciate the irony of such a high price for a "minimalistic" guitar.
+Lucien Grondin HA good point. I love the idea so much too, too bad it's just so much.
cause its all titanium... extremely hard to forge titanium man, plus you can use it as a bat cause its titanium, also a very light metal
$7,000!? Yeah no thanks. It's great $50 in materials about an hour to assemble. Good for you
Titanium is way more than $50 friend.
One big design flaw, there's nowhere to rest your right hand. I always have the ring and little fingers of my right hand resting on the face of the guitar body while playing. I imagine that playing this guitar would be fatiguing.
+ClamsAnonymous you realize you are limiting your picking precision and speed as well as putting unnecessary wear on your guitars finish by doing that. It does look really uncomfortable to hold because there is then no place to rest your forearm on the body that isn't there which would make learning to pick "unanchored" to your guitar a bit harder. You will feel like you play less precise when you first try to learn to play unanchored, but that is only because it is harder to do. Eventually you will pick more fluidly and with less tension in your arm/hand. I highly recommend learning to pick without handicapping yourself so.
Tyler Spencer wear on the finish? you're a joker...
+ClamsAnonymous want pictures of the used 8 string I bought a while ago that has obvious wear in the satin finish right where the previous owner rested his 3 unused fingers? I wish I was joking. Pickguards are pickguards though and won't wear as fast. Research anchoring.
no, i believe the wear will happen...i just don't give a fuck.
+ClamsAnonymous hehe I'm just crazy ocd about any smudges on my guitars so it grates on me. I deal though :P
out of tune most of the time... chords seems to be a problem since there is no equal tension in the different finger pressure and while you do scales the off tune percentage is very noticeable... is the nature of the action ?.. what do you think...? ... many thanks for showing us such a nice guitar.
+Southsilicon Dan yup, it's like playing a scalloped guitar neck.
Can you change pickups? Try the gibson pickups lets see how the holy expensive tonewoods REALLY affects the the tone of a guitar
Tone-woods affect the tone a lot, but gibson would be a bad comparison as they're one of the worst guitar companies out there, they'e been using cheap tone-woods since the 70's
It's a great concept as a travel or tour guitar but for near 6 grand I wouldn't want to go anywhere with it.
If you can keep most of the quality and make it affordable it would sell
Gives a new meaning to Metal Guitar
if you pay extra can you get the wood for the guitar
+thomas bass Hahaha!!! that was good...
You are a fantastic guitarist
You have some mad skills. Cool Guitar.
Its unbelievable.
I want to buy an electric guitar but i dont have a money. So i keep on watching all videos about elect. Guitar so that my soul on guitar will satisfied by watching.. 😃😃😃😃
I wish some of my relatives give me some elect. Guitar even a guitar for starter.
I think it sounds alright. Looks impractical, I personally find the body and neck important to find my bearings when I play. But: with some getting used to, it could be a good travel instrument, and I think it looks good. I'd dress up like Rammstein with that thing and play concerts looking like a steel factory worker from hell blasting hardcore riffs.
Super cool, love the story of the designer, how he eanted to innovate, I get it 100%. I've never understood why theres about five guitar shapes which utterly dominate, thats it, period. Tele, Strat, Les Paul, Explorer, V, and thats basically it, and even those are derivative of one another, especially the final two.
Before I evgan playing, I couldnt wrap my head around how my Harmony H80T was $75, and how a Fender Stratocaster made the same year was $1,700. I held both, putting down the Harmony to pick up the Fender, and yeah, the Fender felt a little cleaner, a little more refined in some ways, but I shit you not, the tone on the Harmoney was crisper, cleaner, brighter, and had punch that the Fender did not have. The tech heard the Harmony and came walking over saying, "amazing what a nice guitar sounds like, isnt it?"
He refused to believe it wasn't some trick I was pulling. Even after he played it himself, he then acted like from across the room, he hadn't realized that the Fender actually sounded much better. Moronic. A seed was planted that day, I realized it truly doesnt matter what guitar you've got, and that they all mostly look alike because 95% of all guitar players are just trying to emulate their favorite one or two rock bands.
Thots guitar is awesome, but yet sadly it is also inexplicably spendy, and due to how it looks, the origin story of wanting to simplify and not instead Gittler's desire to implement some expensive process, plus the outward disclosure of the relatively non-exotic materials used, even if part of the building process is for whatever reason super time consuming and inflates the production costs, potential buyers will mostly balk while dropping the same amount on yet another tele clone or strat clone like its 1974.
nice Matrix shirt!
Did I hear Rush's Driven at 3:23?
Beautiful instrument. Great content man.
I thought the first video was almost information overload. Thanks for the demos!
Has a metallic sound.
Well, this guitar finish all the discussion about woods, its differences and its relevance for the guitars...
Ok, cool Hammer On question answered from Demo 1 video
Rip capo users
i just went into your site to check the price and its about 8k. whats the justification of the cost? considering there's not a single gibson les paul worth as much (besides historical pieces), not having much guitars at that cost makes it hard to compare.
lokotron1 It’s made of titanium.
Many thanks for the effort showing the instrument ... what is your opinion ... ? learning curve with the hands and weight distribution ...? thanks from Argentina.
How easy do you think it would be to try and DIY one of these?
If you can afford that much Titanium.
Of course you'll never get a true rock tone without any wood to vibrate, but that's not what this guitar is for. It's for creating new tones with post processing.
For me, when you buy this kind of guitar, you must be willing to learn new things from it and try not to feel like its a traditional electric guitar that we've all known. It's really a great innovation in the field of guitar-playing. I would be definitely happy if I could have that guitar because I'll be learning to play it differently from the way I play a guitar with a fretboard. That's the challenge in it. :D Thumbs up for the inventors of this guitar! ;-)
This thing came flying from outer space.
I feel like it's a little over priced. My biggest issue is the lack of somewhere to rest your arm, it seems like it wouldn't be all too comfortable. Cool concept overall though.
Really cool t-shirt my friend
Cool guitar but i dont think i can play without my right pinky resting, it just feels awkward floating
Can you notice the lack of a fretboard when playing on the first string? I noticed you did an ascending sweep (kind of a rake), is it different feeling? Seems like it would be strange to play. But I suppose in theory it makes sense, that you wouldn't notice the board THAT much. I feel like you would at times though. I generally have low action and I do feel the fretboard a lot when I play.
I want one!!....nice very nice!!
Like your playing
I think it could add a nice element in a mix with more full bodied guitars. doesn't sound too bad though
Does it stay in tune well? Thanks for the vid!
I don't own one, but given that the whole thing is titanium, I'd guess she stays in like a dream.
Reportedly holds tune for weeks according to the video by Peter Autschbach
Nice sound!
Pretty cool stuff, man :D
That looks so weird! :D I want to try it so badly now!
This is so fascinating, what type of pickups does it have ?
You should really do a blind comparison with this and a tele and maybe a strat. Play the same thing on all three guitars. Then at the end tell what guitar was what. A lot of tone wood ideologues will get their heads spun.
Playing some rush at 3:30
You work it good.
I think it's awesome
If I saw him walking around I would not think I he plays guitar like that lol
What does a good guitarist look like?
@@fieraci8500 tophat and sunglasses.
This guy is the next Scott Grove!
Wow, comparing anyone to that douchebag is the insult of the year.
Very nice t-shirt, sir ;)
How about natural and pinch harmonics?
yess ...
But do they have 8 string fanned fret?
hi,is the the bridge adjustable for intonation purpose?thank you
Pinch harmonics ???
Do they make these in bass?
Yes they now make a 4,5 and fretless bass. To me they sound great. I did another review of the basses at NAMM on CZcams.
$8750 for the 4 string fretted and $8995 for both the 4 string fretless and 5 string versions and all with a $2000 deposit.
Quite a thump on channel 4
How hard would it be to be plucking strings without a pic?
probably easier cause you can then use all your fingers, sores the tips if not used to it
You funking rule!!!
That's why I never believed in tone woods in making electric guitars
thats so cool.omg..!im in jump by funny this moment,..so thx!
There was no reverb no echo no chorus???
I wanted to ask if it`s comfortable to play the guitar of such a shape, but then I`ve found the price, so nevermind)
nice one pall you made it yourself ?
Nope, bought it for a ridiculous and stupid price
... 6000 dollars and it's yours , the titanium guitar ... great guitar ! ...
Honestly really dirty sound is way better than "clean"
how easy is it to squeal or scream it
Can you tune it, or does it not need tuning?
Chase Christian tuning is at the bridge end.
Are the fret positions lit? Am I seeing that? Sorry if this is a repeat question.
Yep. Lit with LEDs. You get to pick the color when you order one. You need to plug in the 13 pin cable to light up the neck. Please check out my other videos. Thanks!
+Bob Gomez Thanks! I appreciate the answer. The guitar is amazing.
I literally just want to hear it chug...
Amazing 😆😄
is it for sale?if yes ,how much? im curious
Way over $7K? I thought this thing was homemade at first... I don't even own a vehicle that cost me $7K, so that's a good, solid, 'hell naw', from me...
Hola, espero puedas leer este mensaje,me interesaría mucho contactarme contigo para ver la posibilidad de desarrollar un Bajoquinto como este modelo de guitarra que estas tocando, de verdad estaría genial
Quiero una!!! I
@Albert Pike, estou fascinado !!! 🇧🇷🎸
Sir i also want this . Will please make a video for buy this guitar. I visited there site but i was unsuccessful to buy it
divyansh sharma Hi. You should call them directly. For the best deal. Good luck. You will love it.
[Secretly Made by Cyberdyne Systems from the Terminator T-800 Left Behind Prosthetic]
Thanks to Sarah Connors `encounter` with the T-1000 in TII the new T-800 Series had to remove its Arm once again as it was stuck in the chain drive of another machine:
One was destroyed; but another T-800 series forearm and hand remained:
Someday a truly pissed T-9000 will show up shape shifting and shit and you best not be playing its great ancestors bones as a "heavy metal" instrument: Oh Oh some people are already on FB tagged:
Your way to young to be so versatile. Where did you learn? Also you did not play any country stuff?
what i dont understand is why a piece of metal that i could just build myself costs from 7k to 9k dolars
i know its titanium, but just do it with aluminum, and it costs 100-200 dolars (and just because of the pickups)
he is not playing with a reed on the string
Rush driven 3 22
Did no one ask about how it sounded controlling a synth with midi???
There is absolutely no variation in synth controllers. All they do is analyze the vibration and send the computer the base frequency. So what does this guitar sound like controlling a synth? Like a synth.
EduardoVelezIII
So if he bends the note the computer will account for that as well?
+iPoopWhereIWant It depends on the software and the soundfont, but it definitely could.
there that's a clean sound nice lol
Is he the father of the guitarist the dooo?
Hi
for all those complaining about the price just think of the R and D that went into this... u dont just pay for materials. iphones cost 10 bucks to manufacture but you fork out 600 for one!!!
I think it costs around 110 bucks. But they don't have to develop a completely new phone with each model and they're selling millions.
can you please tell me how I buy this one? thanks
step 1: have a spare $5750 for it
step 2: go to the web page
step 3: close the tab and don't buy it
Guauuuuuu
why do you sound like Micheal cera
more pentatonic pls
AROUND $6000.
Suggest it to Batio )))
He even can't play a single note.
I guess it doesn't work in mix.
sounds like an ibanez or any other knock off, doesn't sound at all like a tele, not bad sounding just not distinct like a strat or tele or les paul. If the price was reasonable I would be a good deal with the midi capiblity, but come on man 5-6K wtf, I just bought a Casio midi guitar for $300, if your enjoying it thats all that matters, I dont think your going to help sell any though
what is that last riff from?
It's by Rush from 'Test For Echo.' I think it's called 'Drive'
Ur mum 🤬🤬🤬🤩🤬🤩
So, wood and plastic tone is juat a mith
кайф
Para os dois que não gostaram minha opiniâo: Voces nao fazem nem fazer um estiligue
This is the prove that wood makes no difference.
+XqMASTERpX Was thinking the same thing. It does for hollow/semi-hollows and acoustics, but not for solid body electrics.
+XqMASTERpX Are you kidding?
+XqMASTERpX It does make a difference, Just not for a solid body electric. On an acoustic the tamber of the guitar will vary based on the wood used. On an electric you don't get your noise from the vibration of the guitar the pickups do that, On acoustics you need the guitar to vibrate for sound and varying woods will make the guitar vibrate differently affecting the sound of the guitar.
this proves you have hearing issues.
Except you do. The wood resonates from the vibration of the strings though the bridge, the strings then vibrate back sympathetically with the wood. If you want a good tonal instrument you want a wood with a nice resonate frequency. It's all about creating those warm overtones.
The tone of this guitar sounds like a sine wave, there's few overtones, and no warmth.
