- Here is a quick demo of the new Gittler Guitar. I have had it for a couple of days and its one of the coolest guitars I have ever played.

To be fair, tonewood plays a big part in acoustic guitars, but when you're going electric, you could build a guitar out of a dumpster and you could still make it sound fantastic.

Well, hello there, fellow human! It’s not really clean. I’m pretty sure it’s through a chorus pedal. You can find videos of other people playing this guitar and they usually sound just like any other guitar

He's not the inventor however. They were invented by a guitar maker called Gittler at the end of the 70s. First commercially available in small numbers in 1978. The design was later sold to another company, if I remember correctly.
Gittler himself, who died 2003, only made 60 of them himself. This newer titanium version is made since 2014.

The alder body really gives the notes that clean sustain and harmonic edge. The all maple neck and fretboard gives the strings that certain pop. Honestly, this tone wood setup is impressive.
Alder? Alloy. Maybe we can get fiberglass, mahogany, oak, balsa, rosewood, pvc, polycarbonate, crown glass, vitreous quartz, polystyrene, cherry, walnut, apple, hickory, teak, and carbon fiber tones. :-)
If you encased the metal spine in a form-fitting block of wood, it would alter the tone.
@@riffraff1350but pickups ain't microphones, wouldn't the electromagnetic field be the exact same and sound exactly the same when the strings move around the pickup?
@@nicolasreveco3748to almost anything but a spectral analysis of a recording, yes, the same pickup will sound the same. Unfortunately, some apply the basically false concept of tonewood to electric guitars. Hollow bodies do have sound that is colored by the choice of body wood, but this sound is only intelligible when playing/in the same room, or when recorded as an acoustic without electronics.

Well, that was incredibly entertaining. Amazing guitar and guitar playing. You have proved that it's not the guitar , but the guitar player. Very futuristic. I'm looking for the next SciFI movie in outer space playing one. I'm not real sure you can develop a personal relationship with your guitar with something that is so lacking in warmth and personal empathy. It sounds great , no doubt.
