I get dozens of emails and comments per week from people that want to start their detailing business but don’t have all the tools/products they (think) they need.
The water hose was readily available to me to use for the engine cleaning, but I chose not to use it so I can showcase to you that you can still get the job done even if you don’t have a water tank or pressure washer.
The engine cleaning turned out great. Afterwards, I completed a full interior cleaning on the inside. The customer wants to sell the vehicle and I was called out to get it looking better.
I also performed a wash on the car but didn’t add that in this video for time sake.
Enjoy!

Engine cleaning and interior cleaning
• COMPLETE Interior Clea...
I watched the whole video and it didn't seem long at all. Subscribers that value your content and enjoy your work Wouldn't mind watching a 1 or 2 hour video. I know I am the few but I am the one that values content like this
Great to hear David!
Ditto
i like 30 min+ videos oscar. the longer the better
Sweet. Now I know!
Detail Groove what steamer do you use?
Putting the time stamps. The hero we need, but the one we don't deserve.
haha- glad that helped
Plus, I prefer the longer videos, longer would be great! More knowledge for us ;)
Alright, that answers that :)
Yes sir!
LONGER VIDS ARE BETTER FOR SURE :)) GREAT CONTENT. KEEP IT UP!
Thanks!
I started watching your videos it helped me learn a lot more. Now I work detailing cars 3 days a week along with my regular job. Hope too one day only be detailing. Thanks for what you do!
Good luck on your ventures!
How's it going now?
You are becoming my mentor 👌🏼 I’m in the detailing business and I’m slowly getting my own equipment to start my own business one day.
I would say.. start, NOW
I love this video. I don't mind the 30 min walkthrough. Very detailed. I prefer it over the "music video" style details
Nice! Thanks for sharing :)
i know this is an older video but im watching it now and i am going to say i like the longer videos that show as much of the processes as possible
I enjoy watching long detailing videos, especially when I find them so satisfying to watch :)
glad to hear!
This has to be one of the best videos that i have seen here on CZcams, from letting us know the type of products you use,how long it should take, how to work everything out prices etc.most detailing videos just show you what they did and thats it, even though I don't do detailing for a living maybe in the future when i get tired of painting homes I'll give this a try but for now I now how to keep all of my families cars clean, kind of 😂.
Hahhah- thanks for the kind words Jose!
one of the best videos that I have seen in years, just happen to own a Santa Fe thanks 10 out of 10
Thanks!
Gave this guy crap a few weeks ago for not having an extractor but will now give him a thumbs up for sage advice. This is experience right here.
Ahaha- thanks!
I randomly found these videos and I just wanted to say that I love them! I love how you seem to really enjoy what you do and I really like your attitude. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much for watching!
IMO your time is great because your a very detailed person..no pun As long as you put time stamps each person can decide on what part of the video they want to start. Appreciate all you do bro..
Kudos
Just wanted to say thank you. I have learned so much from your videos, and as of yesterday, started my own detailing buisness. Your videos really came in handy. Thanks again, Riley.
WOOOTT! That's great to hear :)
Whenever i am eating, i'll open my youtube app and finding some of your vid to watch while i am eating.. so the longer the vid you make, the better.. 😊 because i could relax a lil bit by watching the rest of vid after i finished my food if your vid is long 😁
As always, Good work, oscar 😊
thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoy the videos :)
I watched one of your other videos and I cleaned my car immediately after! Thank you for the inspiration!
haha- glad I could be of help Jackie :)
Love the videos man
The more I can see on the video of the car detailing the better. I give two thumbs up to 30 and longer videos thanks for the video and keep up the hard work
Thanks a lot! You'll be seeing more :)
Dude just became a subscriber to ur channel. Clean my wife’s car today ur videos gave me the motivation I needed to do it. Learning a lot from ur videos homie keep them coming. Thanks man for taking the time to do this kind of videos . 👍
I'm so glad to hear that most detailers have problems with windows. I'm not a detailer but it's like I can't get streak free car windows no matter what the freak I do!! I will use your multiple towel method from now on. But now even if I don't get it perfect I'll know it's ok & I'm not weird! LOL
haha- you are not alone Kristy. We all hate doing it. I always use 3 to 5 windows across the car
Love the time stamps 🤠
You rock dude! Love your channel because I have always and still do keep my cars like mint. You are a hard worker. Good job !
Thanks Ron!
Your videos are the best
30+ minutes good for me thanks Oscar for dropping science on us! 👍🏽

You'll be seeing more!
The video is perfect. I like to see everything that's done.
Glad you liked :)
Great video keep them coming no need to cut it short the more you know the more you grow.
Yep, that's what everyone is saying. Thanks for watching!
i love you and your long videos. very informative and useful!
Thanks Angeles!
Another stellar video Oscar. The length is perfect. Showing the steps, techniques, products used, and end results is awesome. I think we all pick up small tips watching you do the jobs. It’s really like we are right there with you. Top notch 👍👍. I would rather have them this way then just have some guy sit in front of a camera and drone on about detailing. At least with your vids you can learn tips and techniques 💪💪
Awesome! That's what I like to hear. Thanks for watching :)
Great job like always man. 👍
Thanks Fernanado!
Watched 2 vids and they are very informative i just subscribed and i never comment on anything bt this really caught my intrest. Keep up the good work and vids
Thanks for the kind words Tony!
Thank you for the time stamps in the beginning of the video
you bet!
Long video I love seeing thing like this keep the good job
thanks for the kind words Juan!
Thats a great video
It was what I needed
Keep do a great job!!! 👍🏽
Thanks for the kind words!
Great video! 👍👍
Thanks!
Definitely a big help Oscar! Been waiting to start my detailing business for about 2 years almost ready and been watching a lot of your videos lately. Thanks keep up the good work brotha 👍🏽
Thanks! What's holding you up?
Detail Groove, money and time was holding me up, I was waiting to save up 6,000 to 7,000 dollars for all the equipment etc. But I'm almost ready to go and cutting out alot of stuff I don't need. I'm hoping to get it all up and running in the next month or 2.
Oh man, to be honest, that's overkill to the max. You should have started a year ago with just $1,000. You'd be at a completely different point in your business right now. I'd say start this weekend, go detail a friends car for $25. Action triumphs all
Mr. 480, Bro, Oscar is right as far as how much you need to get going. I’ve been detailing for about 8 years, I started out with 1 cheap buffer, towels, buckets and brushes and it worked. Slowly I’d buy more as I was making money on detailing. But you can definitely make it work even with a smaller budget.
Petr Strizheus thanks guys I'm gonna start up and grow as I go. Any recommendations as to where I should get solutions and what I need? Apc and what else ?
Another very informative video, Thanks Oscar!!
You bet!
I;m glad you mentioned the struggles with streak-free glass; I'm dipping my toe in the water at the moment and one of the first details I did was for a friend (whom I asked to let me know of anything she feels needs improvement) - The glass was very badly streaked. I had just used some APC w/ normal microfiber towel on the glass. Also it was a hot sunny day.
Lesson learned. I did some research and then the next evening went back over them with Stoners Invisible Glass and waffle towel - A lot better
Good informative video length is good especially for newer detailers and even experienced looking to brush up or improve process
Glad it helped :)
Love you're video's carnal! Every time i whatch you're video's I'm getting more and more tips! Peace ✌
Haha glad I could help out Miguel!
Love your long Videos
thanks MIke
The 30 minutes was just fine. Good job on the van!
Thanks a lot!
Great video. Excellent tips. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
The longer the better bro!
Great video
Thanks for watching!
Nice video bruh. I also watched the entire video and found it to be very informative. It was very inspiring to hear you say that most mobile detailers have problems with Windows. I hate windows. Thats where I get 90% of my complaints. Sometimes they come out great then there's times they look like a blind man did them Lol. Keep doing what you do young man. God bless.
Hahha yes, windows are a pain!
these videos are very relaxing to watch so the longer the better
Haha that's great to hear!
your videos are awesome
Thanks a lot Buzz
I watched the whole video💥 I like the long video , and I'm sure viewers like the time markers
Ohh, timestamps, I should provide those
Thank you so much for your videos. I'm about to start a postgrad degree program and think a detailing service would be a great small business to start while I study. Your videos have been really helpful to watch!
Thanks for watching! Good luck on your ventures :)
XTL that is a great idea!
Another great video
😉
Thanks Brian!
Keep the longer videos coming !
It seems like that's a popular choice :)
Great job
thanks!
Great job bro👌👌👌
Thanks Alan!
I wouldn’t worry to much on windows, but like always you try to do the best. I clean houses for a living and I can’t always get them perfect. Always love your video, I don’t mind the length of it. So thank you for just taking the time to film.
Thanks for the kind words!
@David Saucedo, totally agree... the content is valuable. It's a breakdown of Detail Groove's system, which is working out well for him. Some days I want to skip to the "how to" for a specific thing I have in mind and other times I watch all of it to learn the mind set and the purpose behind it. All of it is appreciated regardless of what others might say.
Thanks a lot!
Longer vids brother! Make the next one 2 hours! :)
Ahahah, we'll see about that
30 mins is great 👍🏽
Sweet!
Nice video.
You've got a new sub
Sweet- glad to have you onboard
Awesome video/job Oscar.
Thanks Aaron!
Detail Groove I bought a Harbor Freight da polisher and I am kinda of nervous to use it and don’t have experience using it. You should make video on how to use a da polisher for beginner.
Get a panel from the junkyard and have at it! We all start somewhere :)
youare the best my bro .i m starting the same job help in your job
Sweet
30 min video was great!!! Do more
You bet!
I just bought the Honda EU 2200i for the Blackouts here in Hawaii as well as working on my 500 of Abarth and polishing my surfboards outside🤙👍🏄♂️
Nice weather for detailing
It was!
Amen to that steamer part lol I have an extractor and it works great, but there is simply situations in which steam is better for the job. You remove odors, stains, and essentially still treat the area.
Yep- it always depends on the situation
Great video
Thanks!
I love the long videos
thanks for the feedback :)
You’re very welcome! I love your videos and they’ve helped me a lot especially with cleaning synthetic fibers
Thank you, Oscar!
You bet!
I like this guy.
I subscribed.
Thanks for watching
I like the longer videos
Good to know Buzz
Hey man the kick panel is called the door sill and the trunk one was the trunk sill
Aha- thanks!
I personally enjoy longer videos
.
Awesome video....I like it long but if not you don't have to shorten it by taking stuff out maybe just do it in parts....so thanks for sharing Oscar
Appreciate it Edgardo!
Hey love your vids! Wondering if you have any videos on cleaning bugs, tar, and road paint on cars? I work as a detailer at a bodyshop and see these 3 things on every car and they are a pain to take off. Keep it up!
They sure our! Bugs and tar I'll use APC or tar remover. Road paint, that's a little trickier but you can use adhesive/tar remover
what do you listen to ? great video. thanks for taking the time to film
Mostly Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, and Chris Stapleton
Got the steamer today!!!!
Woot!
No it's not too long, you did great.
I'm from Pakistan , loving your videos , You've been an inspiration for me ! Thanks alot , I am 17 and wanting to start a mobile detailing business only thing holding me back is not owning a car :(
Glad I could help! Yep, you'll have to figure out a solution. Maybe have them bring the car to you?
Longer videos is king.. also I think you put a full face of make up and hair extensions on that pig lol . Btw great job I wish U were in Hawaii so I could book u
Love the longer vids! Maybe something slower than 4x?
Man, that would blow up the video to like... an hour. I already cut out a lot even having the videos speed up to 4x
longer videos are more satisfying
hey great job. I always find my detailing to take longer than i expect. do you find this to be the same for you?
Make more videos like this Oscar. As far as the length. We can actually see you work
Great to hear!
Please do a detail using LAS TOTALLY AWESOME.
Great stuff! Videos are great. I watched this video like 20 times since I really want to clean my car , Hopefully soon. How do you keep your brushes clean or not so dirty? Like for example when you clean the driver's seat, do you rinse or wash the brush to move to the passenger side..or do you clean them at the end?
Thanks for watching! Yeah, I clean them at the end of the day/week depending how busy I am
Would love to see your customers reactions
Ahaha yeah, I just don't want to put them in that situation. But they really are entertaining!
You ever thought about using them white square erasers for like steering wheels, leather seats etc.. they're very useful
Yeah, they're great. I just didn't use them here
Detail Groove Ok cool, very dope detail channel!
Thanks Brandon!
is it possible to get the customer reaction because you do your job very well!
Ehhh, it'd be cool but don't want to put them on blast and tell them they're going to be seen by thousands of people online
I like your video. Verry detailed. Can i used Meguiars super degrease 4:1 to clean interior. Will it be too strong. Thanks. Keep up the good work.
I would say that's a biiiittt too strong. I would just go with Meguair's D101 at 10:1 or purchase Super Clean locally
Hey man great vids an tips, I enjoy watching! Im looking to buy a steamer for my business.. but if I may ask what do you use the steamer for when doing stain removal?
I use the McCulloch 1385 steamer
Use a steel wire brush for the upholstery :)
lmaom
What does the interior end up smelling like? Do you use any type of air freshener when doing interiors?
'Windows are a pain' I see what you did!
Ahaha- unintentional
"Explain another way to say cool and or awesome".
Detail groove
Ahaha
Detail Groove, I've learned a lot from this channel now I have a small detailing business.
Woot! How is that going for you?
Detail Groove going great, something I enjoy doing
this video was really helpful!! do you use super clean on mats and carpets? And is it same dilution as everything else you do interiors with? keep up the great videos! Thank you!
Thanks! Yep, 10:1 for everything in this video
