What?! Almost $2000 USD for 1br/1ba?! Those are US prices. I thought Thailand was supposed to be cheap. If people continue paying those exorbitant prices in BKK soon it will be as expensive as NYC.

Thought the same thing. I am in Los Angeles and I pay less! WTF! Almost $2000 a month for the first option! It’s nice yes but still. I think the owners just jack up the price out of greed and knowing a foreigner will have it.

There was showed luxury condo. Any way, Bangkok is getting high cost living. Everywhere you go it's money. The transportation there not like in U.S. you pay each commuted it's not like subway/bus in NYC (I used to live in Bangkok and NYC before move to small state in U.S.)I feel like I spent more money when living in Bangkok. I feel calm and feel quality living life in small state is much better. Bangkok it a good place for visitor who has a nice vocation but not for long time living.

It's still a ridiculous bargain compared to San Francisco. Between SF and BKK, I'd rather live in BKK. I'm sure NYC is also in the vicinity of SF prices. That living room is the size of a $5k/mo apartment in SF.

I first did an airbnb in Bangkok in 2016. First time I came to Thailand, the room I found was actually a hotel room where someone had listed, I figured out that all the airbnb host did was wait till I booked through him and then rented a room at the hotel. He made a few bucks and I learned a lesson..

Great Video! Always entertaining; option for #2 for me, usually Modern comes with a higher Price Tag; give me some of that "old world " appeal let's not lose the culture of the past within the tides of change; the world is changing fast enough. Let's explore the wayside attractions and find the beaty of the past within the winds of change.

Rather Expensive. Although they are luxurious. A friend and I found two bed condos in bearing BTS for 15k baht. Very nice and exactly what we needed. All from AIRBNB

You really cant beat the location of the Bandara Suites of Ssladaeng. Stayed there many a time and though they are showing their age the price and location makes it a winner for me.

I would have went with option 4.. all overpriced! Considering 1 month in Pattaya AirBnB go from 200$ a month.. and really nice buildings near the beach

    • @multa7053

I just went on AirBnB and it appears there are plenty of spaces for less than 1,000. The "budget" option doesn't seem all that budgety! 😃

Just look at a studio condo in BKK on Airbnb with a gym and pool in the building. It is $400 a month with a monthly discount from the host. It seems that there are many places like that.

This is so interesting. I'm looking for a condo in Manila and I feel like I keep running into the same thing. If the unit and price is nice, the pool/gym/building isn't always great and then if the unit isn't great the amenities are awesome haha really almost at any price point strangely enough. The only difference is, I found a unit that is incredible in a gorgeous brand new building, but the unit is quite small. haha so impossible to find all-in-one so far
