- The Surfer on Acid is a popular Californian modern classic cocktail created by Eric Tecosky in the 1990s, It is also commonly served as a shot. The Jagermeister is tamed by the sweet coconut rum and acidic pineapple juice making a herbal, tiki-esque fun drink!
Try it with a squeeze of fresh lime! đ

Another first for me, trying the Surfer on Acid... I was taken back as I was really expecting the Jagermeister to dominate the drink but it worked surprisingly well alongside the coconut rum and pineapple juice. Incredibly easy to drink but I'd recommend adding a squeeze of fresh lime juice...

Hi steve can u make the choker cocktail from the Savoy cocktail book
Really love the app! Using it almost daily and trying out the cocktails, now that we are social distancing here haha!
Have you ever tried to make your own drink?
Sounds like a drink for someone that doesn't absolutely love Jager, which is me for sure
Hi Steve, like be watching your Chanel, I wanna share shit recipe with you, can you please provide your email ID??
The smile when you shake or stir is contagious. It gets me every time.
đ
King shit
I just commented about that and then saw this comment hahahahaha
TheCummins1212 lol
On god that shit makes my whole day. No homo tho
Not even always watching it for knowing how to make the cocktail, this is always just good entertainment!
Love u man
I really enjoy that you actually taste and review the drinks after, thanks for the content!
Putting back the lime wedge after squeezing the lime.
Steve: nevermind
đ
I just love the honesty manđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
My man doesnât even flinch when he straight up just drops a knife
That's us hospitality workers. Knife goes down no biggie, got burned by a heat lamp, oh well, a new scar. It's what we do so you and yours can have a good meal or drink.
rule number 1 about knives do not try and catch the knife when its falling đđŒ
That smile, that damn smile :>
Yeah it's great, isn't it?
Harry Potter JĂgermeister half Rum chata. Kona coffee shot.
:}
ThatÂŽs where the trouble began! That smile, that damned smile
I love that he decided he needed a squeeze of lime, so he threw out the lime already on the glass and squeezed another lime on it. It's the cocktail equivalent of losing your sunglasses on your head.
That smile keeps me going. Even through this isolation.
Someone bought me this at a bar because it was my birthday. And I loved it. I never knew I would love Jagermeister but I did. Thank you for making this drink đ
Just made this drink and when I first made it... it did not look very appealing but when I took a sip... my oh my.. it was one of the best drinks I had made! Thank you Steve!
my quarentine sunday is a crap, but a notification of steve with a cocktail with jagemeister make my day so great!
thumbs up for that cheeky smile. sometimes shaking the cocktail is the best part of the whole experience.
Malibu is a guilty pleasure for any of us who were drinking in the 90's or early 2000's Embrace it!
Embrace the Malibu!
Red rum is a good pineapple liquor and it is 90 proof as well I think
Iâm gonna have to get a bottle, Iâve been holding off for too long.
Ha...my early 20's...the later 90's. Malibu n coke. There's a Malibu black/dark that's 70 proof i think. Nowadays i prefer parrot bay coconut rum. They have a 90 proof ver of it too. OMG its strong lol. Captain morgan has a 70 proof ver too.
Steve acting like nothing happened as he dropped the knife right through his left pinky toe and into the floor board - true performer. Subscribed!
He always smiles at the camera when he shakes it :). Such a lovely smile
It is a great cocktail! I squeezed a bit of lime and it's even better.
Bought jager for the first time and made this. Wasnt disappointed! The added lime juice really makes a differenceđ
Really great bartender, nice, wholesome video
Why thank you Kacper đ

Iâm back doing daily uploads! Doing my part in lifting spirits đ
Hahaha Figuratively and literally speaking :@)
I came for the "Shaker Smile" I stayed for the amazing drink idea. Keep doing what your doing!
That profile shake, followed by the quick turn of the head and smile. haha! Everyone's got a special move, and that right there is yours.
Could you please make a tutorial for a Singapore sling? I once drank one and it was absolutely stunning, but I never found a proper recipe to do it at home. So a tutorial for that would be awesome. Also, awesome videos in general and keep up the good work :)
Hey Derek, here's one of my go to lads for recipes and entertainment in general

@@Mo-dj1yp oh thank you that really helped :)
That's a fuckin great drink! I agree
Just discovered the channel a few days ago and I instantly loved it! It has pretty much everything that a good cocktail yt channel needs. Keep up the great work man!
Thanks and welcome to the channel! đ
I remember trying this at a bar with my sister, in the Gaslamp Quarter, in San Diego, a couple of decades ago. JĂ€egermeister alone is pretty potent, but the female bartender swore weâd love it, and oh boy did we love it! My mouth waters just recalling itâs unique tastiness.đđ€
The little review after you make the drink is great. Helps me decide what to make đ
Can never have enough jager cocktail recipes
Iâve only done a few on the channel - maybe itâs time to make use of the rest of that bottle..
I love these try-out vids. Just the honesty about the taste is really good
Thanks for the recipe, and especially thanks for the honest review, love that you try some of these cocktails for the first time with the camera on.
Very nice, keep it up and keep safe
Youâre welcome Gunner - I think it makes for a more honest review đ
looks so tasty, gonna try it after quarantine for sure
Looks good gonna try it out tomorrow đ„
It was okay but could be improved... Iâll be uploading another version very soon!
I love this review its funny and authentic
Thanks WW!
Awesome channel. I like when Steve tries the drink and gives his opinion. Keep up the good work.
Love it. Great job keeping it real. I love your cocktails Steve.
I don't do social media but I'm glad to subscribe. Found you in recommended.
And, since I've been a surfer on acid, I had to click!
So aggressive with the shake... dig it.
One time at a Christmas party I had some Malabo rum with unsweetened iced tea. Best sweetener I ever had.đ
Sounds good to me! đ
I watch your videos every night lol. Best cocktail CZcamsr
That smile is a great start for my day
add a splash of blue curacao turns this a trippy green color and doesnt hurt the flavor either
When I was watching one of your videos a few days ago, my boyfriend could hear you shaking the drink from the next room and he said, âis he smiling?!â đ yup!!
the smile when you shake kills me every time haha, keep up the great vids
Qbsolutely loving all these uploads
Going to my bar, have to try it... Thanks đđâ
Let me know how it goes đ
@@StevetheBartender_ Like you said in a shot ya, but a drink nope....
Always nice seeing uses of Jager for when people profess their hate of it. Good stuff, mate.
Laughed my arse off at 4:54
Lime game on point!
Much love from Russia
You could get everything you want in this world with that smile :) and interesting cocktail, I've been waiting for a cocktail where jager is used.
I love the smile while shaking the drink xD
Had just about 2 oz left of coconut rum, and didnt know what to do with it.. just tried this for the first time. Gotta say, it's fantastic!
Just subscribed! I've been watching a bunch of your videos and you make some great drinks.
OMG...just tried it but I had Jager spiced!!! It was awesome!!! Thanks Steve!!!
i have been trying some of your recipe, i will try this too.. with lime. thanks Steve
that signature smile every time you shake it cracks me up hahahaha
I've only ever had this as a shot as you mentioned in the beginning. Thanks for a bigger version.
Pulled together what I could from the cabinet. Used Jager, pineapple rum, and orange juice. I think it turned out! Itâs a glass of booze during quarantine đ€·đŒââïž
Hey Steve! This is an interesting drink. I didn't think jagermeister and coconut rum would work, but it does! The lime definitely balances the drink very well. Thanks.......
I haven't had it with the lime Juice. I will have to try it. I usually put a dash of grenadine in mine. I started making this drink around 1994. It's still a staple at my parties.
Haven't had this in years. Serious throwback to my college days in Florida
LOL...I remember this one from back in the day. Classic!
I love your videos but that smile is the highlight of them đ
This is one of my faves!
I'd love to watch videos of how you would improve or experiment with classic cocktails. This one was a good example!
Yes, that would be cool to watch
New to the channel but you are awesome man! Keep doing what youâre doing. Down here in Canada imma get you famous!!
I love the way you put the lime wedge back ... lol !! Anyway good recipe..
I hope you get 350k soon!
Weâre working on it! đ
Ahhh. I am a Jager Bomb aficionado. That said, one night on vacation I decided to try ALL the different shots made with Jager. Well, fast forward to "walking" back to my hotel room. I ended up on the side of the road in Orlando sleeping in a hotel's bushes. Great times! LMAO
4:09 when u know Aah! Shit..4:55 fuck it.. that's pure emotions
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Always love your honesty. â€ïž
We were making it in Austin around â93-â94. Cheers!
This is really good if you add lemon juice to it
Exacly what im looking for. Many thanks
Enjoy! đ
This is one of my favourite drinksđ
Nice one! Whatâs your preferred recipe?
@@StevetheBartender_ i like it like this, but i also think its good with more pineapple juice as a long drink on a hot day. Also malibu would be the rum id use with it too. Next time i may try with a lime squeeze to see if i like that also.
The Hmm said it all...
Made a few of these way back when. We didn't use lime, but I'm sure it helps smooth the jager a little more. Great video Steve!
Good to see you still making drinks during all of this. Stay safe man
Tried this last weekend, was great!
The best bar tender
Cheers!
đ»
Hey Steve You are the best Bartender đ
Good timing Steve!! Can't wait for the follow up. :-)
I remeber a trip to the spanish coast back in the late 90s. We had a bar we liked to hang out and the bartender sometimes "mixed right in the mouth" of a guest. And that was usualy a Surfer on acid. If you were the choosen one, you had to put your had back and open your mouth. Swallowing was forbidden ;). Then he put Malibu, JĂ€germeister and Pineapplejuice in your mouth and schook your head. Funny thing
i wanted to comment "how can you dislike his beatiful smile", but there are no dislikes! awesome video, i'll be sure to try this cockatial whenever i can :))
haha the reaction tho. i respect the honesty keep up the hard work dude!
Me cuesta hacer tus cócteles porque no se ingles. Sólo español a veces tienen que traducirme a español pero las hago. Felicidades eres un excelente Bartender soy de Guatemala saludos.
Love d way u shake that thing.
Love the honesty brother đ„đ„đ„
Notification squad !! Stay safe Mr. Cocktail..
When I lived In Hawaii. Our surfer on acid was made with chambord. I wish I knew THAT recipe!!!
You're actually supposed to drop 1-2 tabs of acid in the drink as well
đ€Ł
Oh if only I can find a dealer Iâd do it đ
Again love your Real Reactions to the Drinks. If it's not great or so so u say so.
You should do your top 5 Cocktails!
Finally subscribed today. Been catching your videos for a while though. Made my own riff on the Eastside you posted the other day. Just added blueberries and lemon juice and a splash of seltzer. Damn was it good! Cheers.
Y I love Tabasco in all of my cocktails? đ€đ€
Omg this brings me back to grad school!
you got yourself a sub
Welcome! đ„ł
Very cool video đđ»
Good luck on hitting 350k. I have posted in a few spots plus I have you as a featured channel. This looks like a fun drink. Thanks for sharing, Cheers!!
Dylan Snyder (JĂ€germeister Brand Ambassador) did a Recustructed Surfer on Acid on Leandros Channel, I think this recipe might taste you better.
Yes Iâve seen that.. I have an alternative recipe Iâm making but wanted to try the original first..
@@StevetheBartender_ CanÂŽt wait to see what you come up with! Really curious.
U r great sirrrr
I'm trying this!...Can you do some history on the Jagermeister? I recently purchased it but don't know too many recipes. Thanks.
