Ban gentrification!
Not really sure how to respond to this... I believe the town of Hammondsport is doing a great job of maintaining the local history and culture of the surrounding community without over development and substantial change.
@@ForgetSomeday Define "maintaining local history" when you welcomed a newly built condominium complex with units costing $900K. LOL.
@@JayPeek Waterfront property isn't cheap these days! 900k is quite a lot, though! Look, we only visited the town for a few days, so we're not experts on the local economy. However, we felt that there was good representation of local history still found throughout the town through the murals, museums, and historical buildings.
Jay Peek I’m with you in that. “Real estate investors” are making it hard for regular people to just live a regular life and just be able to have an affordable place to live a peaceful quiet life. I’m not in the finger lakes region but just happened to be looking for an affordable place so that maybe I can get away from the rat race in the lower part of the state.
you think its bad down upstate NY try living in central Ontario and being blue collar .
