But something that I may say is that this orchestra is really good playing this theme.

We're investigating the proper name! The music score we used (John Williams' Signature Edition) called it ''Bridge to the past''. A Mystery!

That's the name of this piece, according to the soundtrack cd I have.

You are incorrect. “Window to the Past” is a track on the album, “Bridge to the Past” is a concert arrangement by Williams.

@@thegoodgeneral Isnt "window to the Past" on the Album already a Concert Arrangement? I mean in that form it doesnt show up in the film.

@@jessemoog5310 I guess my previous reply was deleted because I linked to the store of the score I will reference below.
No, it's an album track as I said, whereas what you're talking about would be referred to as a "cue." Not all cues in the film appear on the albums, not all album tracks appear in the film score, and not all concert arrangements appear in either. With Williams it's not uncommon for all three versions of the same/similar material exist; film cues, album tracks, and concert arrangements. Sometimes the concert arrangements are almost exactly identical to the album tracks, but more than half the time not so. This is indeed "A Bridge to the Past" as it appears in the "John Williams Signature Edition" concert score for Prisoner of Azkaban published by Hal Leonard, though this orchestra added a recorder solo as an introduction which isn't in the score. This arrangement/piece was not recorded for the album of Prisoner of Azkaban as it was likely arranged/written after post-production had wrapped.
Incidentally, "A Window to the Past" does partially appear in the film, in the end credits sequence.
