- Hoping to finish this epic that is my Classic Mini Cooper.
Big thanks to "Gary" (the guru) at the Mini Spares front counter in Potters bar (www.minispares.com/)
Big thanks to "Neil" the owner of Corry Cylinder heads (www.corrymotorservices.co.uk/) for their skimming & cleaning services.
Finally, a huge thanks to my fiancé Helen & friends who have supported me & spurred me on through this mini project (excuse the pun)
Well done on getting this over the line cupcake!
You have done a wonderful job. You did a nice and neat job.
Thanks for the inspiration I really need to get my ass into gear and get mine back on the road...She passed her MOT in 2017, got put back in the garage and has been there ever since 🤦🏼♀️
Brilliant vlog and thanks for sharing buddy.
Feel really pleased for you. It’s been 10 years since my Cooper was on the road, you have inspired me to get it MOT’d this summer!!
Best of luck with it, I’m glad these videos have inspired you 😇
Cracking little car and great to see it given a new lease of life mate👌
Cheers buddy! Hope your well, your garage is looking tidy 😇
I’m now going to focus on the old T5.1 🤞🤞
@@retromechanic2238 Thanks bud, need to decide what im doing with the floor now. Great a new series whoop whoop
Great job mate!
Thank you Charlie! 😄
Big fan of yours, checking in. See if you can guess who this is…
Nice work on the mini. Profit on that…
Eric Hitchmough?
I would be changing the other core plugs going by how thin the one you had to claw out. . Been many many years since I have touched core plugs, and I don't recall ever seeing one as rusted so thin is the one you took out. I done remember ever having to use sealant when fitting new ones. Nothing wrong with a bit of belt and braces approach.
A tinkers car is never finished as there is always something that needs doing or adjusting. May you have many miles of happy traveling in her.
Not a bad shout, the ones on the side of the block look a bit trickier to get too 🙈
Thanks for your feedback!
@@retromechanic2238 Trouble with some parts of the engine is other parts are sometimes in the way or the designer has put a bold or stud in a really awkward place as it is easier for them in the factory to deal with. Never thinking about the person that has to work on the engine down the line.
Glad you got another Mini back on the road, How did it pass the MOT with that chip in the windscreen? did they just not notice?
