Due to popular request, I have added my mod list, this mod list has changed a little bit since the upload of the video, but is still similar as seen in the video.

Why is Serana Weilding Dawnbreaker??? Merida is not amused that a Vampire is Holding her Sacred Artifact.
Lets not forget about the Aoe effect the blade can have when killing undead that would damage her XD
It's just a sword that I thought was cool, yea I know lore wise may not be the most immersive, but it also has useful affect when fighting undead (including vampires)

This is the reason Serena isn't marriable. In case y'all don't know, she became a vampire when her family offered her to Molag Bal (the God of Rape) at his summoning ritual. He horribly violated her to the point of death, and she was reborn as a vampire. "Daughters of Coldharbour" like Serana and Valerica all go through that. Serana refuses to get married because she feels uncomfortable and probably incredibly scared when inside temples of any kind. In skyrim, marriage has to happen in a temple of Mara, so she refuses to marry. Also, she's probably uncomfortable with sexual actions in general, or she's not into them at all, all things considered. Imo this is great character writing, and makes her much more interesting, even if it is incredibly sad that she went through that.

Never looked at it like that. But I wished for some sort of questline to get married outside a temple. You know, bribing/ persuading a priest, having a nice little ceremony somewhere, be it some grove or even in the Dawnguard halls (because of course you did the Dawnguard quest).

We could've had an a-sexual/ unconventional marriage questline. Which would've better shown the player Serana's trauma and at the same time would've fulfilled the wish of many players to well. To just be there for/ to be with Serana. Because indeed. She is one of the best written characters in Skyrim

I always wondered why Meridia never played a larger role in the Dawnguard questline; her hatred of undead and necromancy, as well as her affinity of life energy and light would make her a natural enemy to Harkon and his vile machinations.
I admit, Skyrim was my first exposure to the Elder Scrolls' series, so I didn't catch on at first. However, after coming to understand the roles of each Daedra, it's hard not to see the holes in Bethesda's writing. At the very least, there should've been an option to "purify" the shrine with an artifact of Meridia. The fact that there isn't is a vastly wasted opportunity.
Thing is, a lot of the Dawnguard members were part of the Vigilants of Stendarr at one point, and Meridia is a Daedric Prince
@@thatguyriverside They accepted Serana, who actively worships Molag Bal. They don't care if you're a werewolf, a creation of Hircine.
Also, Meridia is a Daedra in name only. She was one of the deities to leave our realms with Magnus. She's only considered a Daedra because she consorted or associated herself with one.

If you finished House of Horrors beforehand, you can mention being a fellow worshipper, to which she says she's impressed and her opinion of you has improved.
@@lul7100 Don't you remember the reason? The prophecy still existed, even with Harkon stopped. She didn't like being her father's tool, nor her mother's foil, but liked even less the idea of being used again, later on. By appealing to her sense of the greater good, and a bit to her selfish detachment from her family, you can convince her to revert. You can also suggest the wrong reasons and piss her off royally, locking out the cure option.
She has a rare animation where she kneels down and covers her head in fear when near Daedric altars.

It’s cause she has a unique follower framework which lets her sandbox to idles. She can sit in chairs, hammer at workbenches, or because there’s a marker at the altar, do the animation.

Interesting how I was playing on Nintendo Switch and doing this quest while also doing dawnguard, and since Serena sometimes interacts with the world, while I was talking to the daedra, she walks up to the trap and does the "scared" animation, I thought it was funny. I never got this dialogue though.

The game is oriented to a wider audience, and while it's kinda queasy to speak of ancient ritual rape of virgins, having a talk about _literally getting to her rapist's place and going to talk to him_ is another can of worms... Once again, IF it's cut content, it may have been the tactful approach to not go "too real".

The fact she sensed his presence just by walking through that door tells you how long she was assaulted for (not including the fact that it was a good thousand years prior). I can't remember if she was with me or not but a part of me recognizes this conversation, it was my first time experiencing the quest and I was shitting my pants from the weird vibe alone. Now that I think about it I think she was, I load in and the vibe from the start was off. She quickly pulls me aside before we get far and mentions Molag (but after seeing the stuff being thrown around I admittedly forgot).

I love this quest. One of my all time favorites of this game. Which is ironic and funny, because Molag Bal is my least favorite Daedric princes, but love using his mace. Made so much coin, enchanted items and leveling up with that thing.

It perhaps wasn't +18, but he still tricked you into getting drunk and took you to the trip of embarrassment. Again, it might not be +18 thing, but it nicely shown how he tends to trick mortals without their CONSENT! Next thing you know after dying you either ending up in a place of never-ending party, or a place straight from hell since Sanguine's pocket realms depend on its inhabitants. Which isn't as good as you may think because people are most f'd creatures to exist and last thing you want is to end in 50 Shades for eternity.
TL;DR: Good deadra doesn't exist. Even with "good" ones like Azura and Meridia there is still a catch. Azura being manipulative mother that punishes you if you don't please her, and Meridia takes your free will. Ironically enough, Ville's place is least messed up. Outside of skaafins and occasionally smell of the dead now and then, you are free to live there however you wish because Ville doesn't care.

@@TheEmpiresStrongest What's worse is Harkon sacrificed his wife and daughter for his vampirism, and was likely subjugated similarly as well. "Not exactly a wholesome family activitiy," is how Serana put it. Serana was a child and forced into all of this, which likely explains why she never uses her vampire lord abilities or feeds on people and instead suffers... not silently though lol. It makes sense that an extremely thirsty vampire would be ultra sensitive to light as well as stuffy caves, and whine about it as a coping mechanism.

Like seriously, I used it for my necromancer and it fit like a charm, and I know that it could work wonderfully for an assassin as well. This armor is so good it literally killed the versatility in the late game for me lol, I take it way too frequently for my high level character
Ah, beautiful Serana the only *REAL* marriage candidate in game. I'm still cursing Bethesda to this day because they didn't let you marry her. At least without mods anyway and still with even mods I heard that it was really buggy to marry her.

I'm kinda new at the mods thing in skyrim scuse me but I gotta ask how do you change Serana's face the way you like it using seranaholic? (I have the mod already) especially the hair I wanna the change the hair sorry I'm new at this nc video btw
When going into the mod page of Seranaholic, choose the version you want (only pick 1) and download with mod manager (I use vortex). There are mod pictures of each version on the mod page. The version I use (and seen here) is version 1.6. When installing the mod, a small window should open giving the options to customize the appearance.
And you can also do it manual if you using crack. Just dump the file on it's places. Make sure the : esp, fuz. Put correctly

Techincally you are him. Read the dialogue out loud, though I can see how thats not the greatest solution. However if he spoke, it's more of seeing a story unfold, than you are in that story
I like to think Serana was terrified of Molag Bal, and determined never to experience his presence again, but then she was like "Wait, I can't let my friend/modded husband/soulmate in countless people's headcanon face such a horror alone."
This is why Serena is awesome; she has the most depth of any follower.

This quest is better with Lydia. Both of you beating on the poor guy with molags mace is just so wicked.

We really need a mod that lets you unscrew Dawnbreaker's pommel. When Apotheosis launches, I want to end Molag Bal rightly.
Also, with everything from The Frontier, I hope the lead ran background checks on all members of the Apotheosis team.
I doubt Apotheosis is ever going to release. And if it does, it's going to not live up nearly to any of the promises the team has made about it.

Well according to the book called "Opusculus Lamae Bal ta Mezzamortie."
It tells a story of Molag Bal, who, in his hatred towards Arkay, profaned the body of a virgin Nedic woman, Lamae Beolfag. Lamae was killed by the ordeal, but rose from the dead as Lamae Bal, as well as the Blood Matron and the First Vampire.
Pure-blooded vampires are those who were granted vampirism directly from Molag Bal, the creator and patron deity of Vampires. The process is somewhat similar to the creation of the first vampire, Lamae Beolfag-mortals gain their vampirism through a ritual in which members of a family pledge themselves to Molag Bal. Women who survive the horrific ordeal, such as Serana and her mother Valerica, are dubbed "Daughters of Coldharbour."
So yeah, serana offer her virginity, and the ritual is kinda... "Rapey"
Btw, I was wrong the book wasnlt from morrowind but skyrim it was inside volkihar castle, in the serana's moms room in the same room as the portal to soulcairn.

I'm 99% sure this is the edit, as the edit is just reallocated unused or rarely used lines, the add on, is by another voice actor and gives completely new lines
@@ArrowsandRice Mod author of Serana Dialogue Add-On here :) The mod doesn't only contain lines from a new voice actress- before she started helping out I spliced and reused lines in a similar method to Dialogue Edit. And yes, I can confirm this dialogue was added in by me :)

This dialog has nothing to do with the quest. You can get this dialog without ever having done the Markarth quest.
Your games glitched then mate. This dialogue wouldn't make sense without the molag bal quest.

@@BarkSkinZoo The main graphical mods that I use are: Dolomite weathers combined with Enhanced Saturation - Vibrant Colors. Those two mods alone make a huge difference. I also used Northfire's photoreal mountains, Static Mesh Improvement, and fine face textures. I have a few landscape mods (which aren't seen in the video) as well which include: Simply Bigger Trees, Realistic Aspen Trees, Tree Bark in High Definition, and Veydosebrom. I also have plenty of other magic re-textures and realistic snow mods.

The dialogue is in the vanilla game, the mod just recycled it for this section. The more I listen to bits from the Serana dialogue mods, the more I'm inclined to stick with vanilla...

In lore of my play through, I made it so that since you can’t marry Serana (damn you Bethesda!!!!) she and my male Nord Dragonborn are secretly lovers and adventurers since if you’re gonna freely explore all of Skyrim marriage is the last thing on their mind. Plus it saves me space with mods to add other cool things.

What nod makes the dialogue like that ( to back and fourth)
If you have seen Vinny's stream of Skyrim, Serana will just use the altar because she is programmed to interact with anything thats near, this happened on console, so there is no way he could mod his way to force her do that, vainilla Serana will eventually use the altar if she is near, just like she interacts with anything else around her.
I had J'Zargo use it. At first all I saw his tail and asked myself "is he using it", then realized he's doing that animation for it.

I don’t know if there was any update or something. But when I first did this quest with serrana add on dialogue, there were more interactions. One of those was a Serana’s terrified scream that gives me goosebumps to this day. It was the most horrifying experience I’ve ever gotten in Skyrim. I was expecting to see it again but for some reason this video did not show such interaction. Did anyone else have a similar experience?
