- On today’s episode of the SSPX Podcast, we’ll continue our Apologetics Series by looking at the necessity of Revelation. Last episode, we saw how it was possible that God could speak to man - now Fr. McFarland will join us to see if it was necessary. Did God have to give man revelation? Is revelation necessary for us to know who God is? Or can we know all about God just from our own reason and intellect?

Thank you Fr. McFarland.
Thank you Fr.
Since loving must flow from knowledge of someone within some condition of relationship and desires in the other the same Charity to confirm that relationship, it follows that since God loves to an infinite degree He is compelled to make Himself known within the limits of human understanding in all matters. .... BTW: watched the TLM all the time during the 'lockdown' and Fa. McFarland is a favorite for doing Mass with mannerisms and tone I knew as a child in the 1940s. This is more than mere nostalgia as there is sincerity in facing The Tabernacle to offer back the Perfect Sacrifice as opposed to showing your back side while speaking to anybody.
8:50-8:53 a great way to clarify St. Athanasius's teaching in the Incarnation as well: 'What was God, being good, to do?' Thank you father!
Excellent insight.
Thanks for the teachings! I hope we have an episode or two with Fr. Wiseman 😄
All these priests are wonderful, but I have to agree that Fr. Wiseman wins my top spot for a favorite epidode.
🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hello to you both from your home parish in Phx.
Great topic to cover. Thank you. God bless you.
Thank you so much for these!!
There's something wrong with Father's audio. It sounds like he's underwater.
Will there be notes for episodes 6 and 7? God bless!
The 'transhumanists' apparently cut catechism class. Now they propose to reinvent the wheel.
Having difficulty hearing the audio.
Difficult to follow due to poor audio quality of Father McFarland’s narrative. For future reference ensure audio quality is acceptable before you even proceed with the podcast.
