The Liturgy Explained, Pt. 1 - The Catholic Mass - Episode 3
Welcome to our third episode of The Catholic Mass series. Last week we discussed what we gain from the Mass - the four ends. Today, we explore why it is so important that we have a liturgy at all. What do we mean when we say “Liturgy”? What is the reason for people gathering together to perform a religious ceremony? Is it something that we do are inclined to do naturally, or is it something that God has directed us to do?
The Society of Saint Pius X offers this series and all of its content free of charge. If you are able to offer a one time or a small monthly recurring donation, it will assist us greatly in continuing to provide these videos for the good of the Church and Catholic Tradition.

The Olympics and Place of Sports in Catholic Life - SSPX Sermons
zhlédnutí 4KPřed 4 hodinami
The opening ceremonies of the Olympics was marred by a flagrant act of blasphemy against Our Lord. This gross act does not inherently degrade the accomplishments of the athletes who compete, but it does provide an occasion to reflect on the place of sports in our lives and the disproportionate place we often give to them. How Do We Respond When We Fall? - SSPX Sermons

At times, we may believe our sins are too great for God's mercy. It is commonplace for us to think we are beyond God's love, and we compound our sins by losing hope and giving up. This is the exact opposite of how we should feel, for God's mercy is infinite and it is there if we sincerely seek it. The Meaning of "Lead Us Not Into Temptation" - SSPX Sermons

The world, the devil, and even our own flesh are sources of temptation to sin. So why then do we ask God to not lead us into temptation? Does this mean God is a source of stumbling blocks that may make us fall out of a state of grace? The Four Ends of the Mass - The Catholic Mass - Episode 2

Welcome to the second of our introductory episodes in The Catholic Mass series. Last time we explained what the Sacrifice of the Mass is - today we will look at the next logical question: Why do Catholics attend the Mass and make this ancient worship so central to their lives? In a day and age when religious adherence is on the decline, what is it about the Mass that draws people closer to God?...

    Excellent People might want to read WIKI article on Case for Aramaic as First Language of Bible. All Eastern Catholic scholars claim this. West does not. In comparing LXX with Lamsa's Aramaic translation, there is a distinct difference. It is closer to the Hebrew than the Greek. LXX Ezek. 1:26-28 "lapis lazuli-human-electrum-bow-rad-iance. Aramaic: "shapphire-a man-God-fire". Deduction: Aramaic is not translated from the Greek LXX as claimed by the West.

    You are mixed up. Defending yourself is not revenge. Establishing boundaries is not revenge. You should make this dustinction! How many children are abused because no disrinction is made between justice, revenge & self-defence? And people who attack others do not always do it because their victim does something to bring it on!!! It is this kind of wrong thinking that keeps people suffering in Novus Ordo! They never challenge anything!

    Great and well said Fr. There is no coincidence to see how God is allowing such confusion even humble the same sports by no longer being even to face the reality of man and woman, now to only see the feminist women being pushed to compete against men. Showing that we are not equal. Let alone all the immodesty we see and the women idolizing such careers that take people outside of the home and family life. Becomes something that seems like idolatry and new religion. Yet, as pointed good use of sports to grow virtue. Even Trump being compared to Christ, scary and worrisome. Kabbalist - Messianic type theology we see even in the showcase of sin in the ritualistic ceremonies going on in France.

    • @mts0628
      @mts0628 Před 2 dny

      Tldr: No. What's more important? The Faith, or paycheck? No servile work is supposed to be done on the Lord's day. The exception is helping others, like health care workers or Garbage collectors, anything dealing with human health. Should grocery workers work on sunday? They are providing for others but they are doing servile work on the Lord's Day. Nobody should be shopping on Sunday anyway and they have six days to get their affairs and order..

      I believe if that’s the case they must do their absolute best to keep the sabbath holy. If they can’t attend mass they must recognize that the sabbath belongs to the lord not to their work and do their best to reflect that recognition throughout the day. If they compete every single Sunday and aren’t ever able to attend mass and continue to place their “work” over the sabbath and their Sunday obligation. They better think long and hard about what matters. Probably best to forgo fame and fortune in their respective sport than to forgo heaven and the worship of the Lord.

    Do not watch the Olympics. Do not buy products advertised at the Olympics. What is the value of a medal won at a ceremony that mocks God? The praise of the world means nothing. They will praise you on Sunday and crucify you on Friday. Pilot declared Christ innocent 3 times and he still ordered the crucifixion. To many times we see people going to a professional football game but missing mass.
