    Fr. McFarland starts at the very beginning - we can't talk about the Crisis in the Church unless we determine whether or not there actually is a crisis. And while it may be fairly obvious, we'll look at specific ways, and distinct symptoms of this crisis that is the greatest challenge the Catholic Church has ever faced.
    Please support this project so we can continue to bring you detailed, in-depth analysis of Catholicism today: sspx.gifts/collections/frontp...

      But they deny steadfastly the faith of the Church. See my post above; Sophistication is the death of simple childlike acceptance of the words of the Saviour. It has led to the perversion and finlly to the denial of the Christs solemn words in John 3:5. "Amen I say to you: unless a man (any man, every man) be born again of water and the Holy Spirit, he CANNOT enter the kingdom of God." The SSPX priests whom you so admire deny this in word and in writing.

      And you really think that the SSPX is the epitome of masculinity ? Be serious. Gay priests are in all the Apostolic Churches, some of them really live their celibacy; some of them not. Even in the Orthodox church; where they allow married priests , even them, have to face that reality. Throwing stones against our neighbors home is a very stupid behavior from our part; when we know for a fact that our very home have a crystal roof.

      Those stats startled me, I was raised in a Novus Ordo parish, I received my first communion and confirmation there as well as doing my CCD years in that parish. Those are the fundamental tenets of the Faith, if you don’t believe them you aren’t Catholic. My parish was certainly very conservative for a Novus Ordo parish, which is probably why I ended up in SSPX when I became an adult, but I didn’t have any idea there were people calling themselves Catholics who didn’t believe any of the fundamental doctrines of the Faith. And in those numbers?! It’s terrifying.

    From my own experience and the reason I stopped following the FSSP is directly related to that many of those priests have seemed to embraced Vatican II and many of the reforms in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. This was predicted back when those priests broke with the Society and joined John Paul II in condemning the Ordinations of Bishops. They now allow Communion to those who reject the Council of Trent and the Real Presence by consecration. Hosts that have reduced gluten just for those who are ignorant of the Churches Dogma of the Real Presence. In Tulsa Oklahoma the priest actually asks those who have an intolerance to gluten to wait and come up last so he can clean his fingers of any particles which contain gluten before giving them "their" Communion. So in this church there does not exist a Communion of unity amongst it's members. He also gives certain families that claim Byzantine roots Communion to infants. I say he is breaking Cannon Law and giving scandal to the Roman Catholic children who see this while he says they have to wait until they reach the age of reason.
    Thank God we have returned home to the FSSPX and true Catholic teachings.

    • @aymeesretep8754
      @aymeesretep8754 Před 3 lety +9

      I'm fully in support of SSPX, however, in my own experience, the FSSP priests are against Vatican II. I wish we could, as Michael Matt (Trad Catholic news supporter) says, "Unite the clans!" I don't think we are making any converts by fighting with each other when were essentially doing the same thing: trying to practice the true faith according to tradition. I don't deny the origin and differences but I think a lot of the priests who have come to love and to say the Latin Mass etc are not our enemies but rather as one FSSP priest put it. He said, "We, the FSSP, are bringing the Catholics off the streets like 'triage' pointing folks in the right direction and he said the SSPX are like the 'Specialists'. I thought that was a very beautiful analogy. We really all are Catholic and we are trying our best. In reality, the priests of SSPX and FSSP are both needed and hopefully some day we will all be more united but for now both are needed to minister to souls in a time of great crisis and confusion. The SSPX of course deserves more honor and respect and recognition than it has received but we all see the hierarchical problem we have so it's not surprising that things are as they are.

      @mariekatherine5238 Před 3 lety +3

      I don’t think it’s correct to give communion to infants, unless there’s a special indult, certainly possible. As for gluten allergy, friends of mine have a son with a life-threatening gluten allergy to the point where they have to keep a gluten free home-no wheat products at all. He cannot even touch it without a serious reaction. He’s been homeschooled despite there being a traditional school nearby. He seldom goes to Communion. When he does, he takes oral antihistamines beforehand and goes first. The priest (SSPX) gives him the very smallest piece of Host possible. He goes with his mother to the back pew where she sits by with two EpiPens. None of his five siblings seem to have the same problem. It’s a real cross for a 13 year old to bear. He usually requires one EpiPen, but once, a few years ago, the ambulance had to be called.

    Most of what the crisis centers on is (1) knowledge of the Faith in the perspective of The Gospel and conversion, (3) perseverance in the Faith on a moment-by-moment and day-by-day basis, and (3) what we learned, or did not learn, in our families. I learned almost absolutely nothing in my family. For what I did learn, I am grateful because it has been a foothold for Our LORD, and there are moments when God was allowed to speak and make Himself present.
    We can learn the Faith in our heads, but learning it in our hearts is a huge barrier. So much of the crisis, like the popes recognizing that there were problems but not doing anything about it, hinges on head knowledge but not heart knowledge or APPLICATION. If we don't know how to do something, knowing about it does not help that much. In fact, knowing something but not knowing how to practice it can be worse than not knowing because at least when we don't know ... we don't know. And if we have to formulate a response and carry it out, we might use common sense, which is not opposed to the Faith.
    The crisis now has to be about something Christ wants to teach/learn us, and likely comeuppance for all the superficial Catholicity of the laity for centuries.

For example, they could not accurately define infallibility of the Pope therefore if they understood correct definition of infallibility of the Pope they would answer differently. I think that the main reason is that the leftists have been teaching in our schools all throughout the 60s up until today until there’s no more reality, if you will; one can quote directly from sacred scripture about morality and it’s now automatically “hate speech “ or “oppression”. This same attitude has been brought into the church and seminary, that it’s really “ not bad” if Julie is living with her boyfriend or if she has an abortion, because, after all, she needs to finish her degree and can’t do that if she’s “burdened “ with a child…..same as homosexuality, Rick and Steven are great guys, both have good careers, etc…so why shouldn’t they be allowed to marry and even adopt children? Just look at how lots of straight couples are living; no god except whatever they deem important. The entertainment industry has dumbed down our kids to the lowest denominator and the parents are too wrapped up in their own entertainment to be bothered to raise them in church….

Please go back.Also this a true story an Anglican woman came to mass,before mass she asked For G if she could go to holy Communion as she had an illness and (had a dream or was in prayer I can't remember) that the Lord had told her to come to the Catholic mass receive By Communion and she would be healed. He allowed her and she was cured. For Michael

    There is a crisis, but not among the true faithful who hold unswervingly to the infallible teachings of the Catholic magisterium exactly as they are worded with no recession from the actual meaning of the words. The crisis is among those who allow themselves to deviate on "the plea of a deeper understanding" from the plain and actual meaning of the words of those definitions. The crisis exists among those souls and groups of souls and derives from their belief that men may be saved in any non-catholic religion that is,, without profession of the integral Catholic faith in Christ as the divine universal Redeemer of ALL men, and without receiving the Laver of Regeneration: the Sacrament of Baptism, and thereby becoming a living member of the one true Church, the Mystical Body of Christ.. This belief is heresy; and we see the chaos and perversion of doctrine and discipline, and the destruction of the Sacred Liturgy all over the post Vatican II "church". The heretical false ecumenism of Vatican II and the Vatican II antipopes (you can't be a heretic, a non-Catholic and a pope at the same time) is clearly the natural child of this heresy; and to hold it banishes one from the unity of supernatural faith which is the Catholic Church. I would call that a problem - a crisis - wouldn't you?

Traditional Catholics call us Orthodox schismatic for holding to “the faith delivered once for all” and “what is believed be everyone everywhere.” But they call the popes and papal actions since JXXIII wrong. To what “communion” and “submission” exactly is one called “back” to (besides one which did not exist in the first millennium)? It’s a formal submission trads practice only, not one of faith.
