  • Can-Am is still making big changes to their Maverick Sport 2-seat machine by introducing two new packages that are both highly specialized. The first is the X RC 1000R package that turns the Maverick Sport into a dedicated rock crawler with a 64-inch stance, oversized tires, arched a-arms, and rock and trail driving modes. Watch the full video to get our first impressions on this unit! Thanks for watching!

    I have owned mine for about 2 month and I cant say enough good about it. the suspension is great, the speed is great (upper 70s at 5500 feet above sea level) It es comfortable, even for taller folks. Handles awesome on the trail or the roads. Can-Am Hit it out of the park with this machine, The only thing it needs is a quick disconnect for the front sway bar, for crawling. You can check out some of the HELL I have put mine through on my channel. I LOVE IT! Go get one!!!!!!

    Its nice to see you guys have gotten more active on your CZcams channel and adding reviews. I really liked your video on the 2019 Outlander, I'd like to see a 570 renegade xmr video. I personally wish they would have kept the xmr and xrc sport at 60 inches, lot of trails here in the black hills are limited to 62 inches.

    What would I like? Is like to own one. Got the Maverick trail when it first came out. Love it but now there's this fine ride. It's got everything I want and still be nimble.

    So I’ve got a 2020 sport xrc and I absolutely love it. being 64 inch wide compared to everybody else in my group being 72 or wider I love that added flexibility of where I can go. the downside I feel like is to this machine is not running 32s cause I went from 30 to 32 inch liberties I feel that it’s improved the machine capabilities but that’s just me

      Glad to hear that you're liking your Sport! Is it performing well for you out in the AZ desert? I've only rode the Sport up in the mountains so far, and it did awesome! - Josh

      @@rmatvmc Josh, I think it was your review that got me interested. I saw a couple others, all positive so I bought one. I live in Phoenix and ride mostly north of me. Those areas are rocky, rutted, and at times narrow roads. Though desert, rarely open and flat. Dunes are clear down by Yuma (the far edge of Glamis). I think the Sport does fantastic in this environment, seems like it was made for it.

    I have a Maverick sport from this year a 1000r and I love it. In New England having that 62 inch wide stance is optimal for these small trails. Might not be the fastest bike on the trail but it’s the most comfortable. Plus the water tight seals on the doors are awesome. I’m going through rivers and strait swamps and I only get a little water through the floor ports. Really impressed so far. Only thing to look out for is the saddles that the Suspension sit on off the front A Arms are a-little weak. I already crushed one and can am fixed it for free.

    Great review, been waiting to hear first hand what people thought about this compared to the X3 XRC. Just a reminder, The X3 also has a XRC thats 64" wide 120hp.

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  Před 5 lety +2

      Yeah you are totally correct! If you like the 64" width and want the extra HP and suspension travel of the X3, that is definitely a good option as well. I'd love to test those two machines head to head! It's nice that they're giving plenty of different options as well. I think these X RC models are going to fit a lot of peoples needs! Thanks - Josh

      Rocky Mountain ATV MC I think that XRC looks perfect for my east coast trails. 120hp and 20” of travel isn’t as useable for me. Would love to see y’all do a head to head as well.

    • @jailbird2789
      @jailbird2789 Před 5 lety

      Yes. Low range on the new Mavericks is REALLY low. The engine is screaming at 25 mph. You can crawl along at 4 mph all day long.

    How do the site lines over the front of this compare to the X3? The X3 is a little hard to see what you are going over with the lower seating position. Is this better or about the same?

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  Před 5 lety

      It definitely seems to be better than the X3. You're right, the X3 sight line is minimal with the seat position but you can adjust the X3 seat and then it's not so bad. Thanks for the question.

      @nicholasolsen4698 Před 4 lety

      Gene Goyette These new Mavs don’t get hot inside at all. They have moved the engine further back so you get basically 0 heat in the cab.

      The belt on this light 100 hp two seater is he same as the belt used on the 2016 131 hp 4 seat Maverick Max Turbo. And Can Am does a better job every year on increasing airflow through the clutches. The new Mavericks flow a lot more air than the original version. I'd expect at least 4000 miles on a belt in this model.

      True. great to have that choice. For me the rear a arms and higher seating position of the sport have me sold even tho '18' x3x is cheaper w rebates in my area. Heck some are $8500 off right now!

    Aslo length is big when rock crawling

    • @dre04mach
      @dre04mach Před 4 lety

      Length can work for you or against you, depending on terrain. tall sharp short (length wise) boulders, it'll work against you. sharp ledge, it'll work against you. On the other hand, not so sharp ledge, long wheel base will help you more if you can get the front tires on the top and help pull. Can also help in rock gardens and things of that nature. You can help the breakover angle with bigger tires on a longer rig, but you can't match a shorter rig on the same tire...

    Why the hell does CanAm's website still say TTA (torsional trailing arm) suspension for every single Maverick sport vehicle? even their PDFs are wrong. I almost bought a Rzr 1000S because of this - luckily I spotted one of these at the dealer and I went "THE INTERWEBS LIED TO MEH!!" lol... can-am.brp.com/off-road/us/en/models/side-by-side-vehicles/maverick-sport.html
