    I purchased this “19” 1000R around the middle of October and absolutely love it !!!
    In the first week of November I was having a blast riding on our farm on some new trails I had made . The more I ride this thing the more I love it !
    Well my day came to an end when the driver side rear axle broke 😫
    So I took my Maverick into my local dealer (Ride 1 MotorSports) here in Ohio for repair . With their help and persistence with BRP my Axle will be replaced at no cost !!!
    That’s the good news. The bad news is there are no Axles available to customer at this time !!! BRP has said that maybe on 1/21/2019 .
    That will make it 10 weeks
    I understand it’s a new machine for “19” but that’s a long time to be waiting for parts !!! Would you please contact JJ at Can-am and help out a sad customer that can’t ride his new machine that he loves so much 🙏
    Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated !!!!
    PS- love the video’s you guys make.
    PSS -there are no after market axles available at this time either

      @@longboardguy I'm 5'6" and I have the seat moved up a couple notches from the full back position. Comfort is good, although the rear suspension is on the stiff side. The long wheelbase adds stability and confidence at higher speeds. Compared to the Polaris and Arctic Cat (Textron) 50 inchers, the MT is heads and shoulders above in the engineering, design, quality of components and fit and finish.

    AJ, now that you have tested the Sport 1000, could you do a comparison between that and the Sport 700. I am curious for those of us not looking at top speed and budget conscious, I would love to know how the 700 stands up with the 1000.

  • @timkosinski3030
    @timkosinski3030 Před 5 lety +1

    If it still has a DESS key for ignition I'll pass, our Maverick had to get reprogrammed at 960 miles, limp mode key wouldn't work either.
    These machines are wicked cool no doubt, but it's getting where you need to ride where a dealer is close by.
    I can't remember a day when my Odyssey ever left me stranded; sore as hell yes, but not broken
    Good riding to all !

    I believe Polaris is gonna have to do some updates on the 900S/1000S. Especially inside the cab area. One thing I like that Can Am has done, is making the wheel base very long. This is one major thing I think Polaris needs to look at doing to their 900S/1000S

    • @sideskraft
      @sideskraft Před 5 lety

      The RZR interior design and materials are similar to the Massimo and Hisun -- Can Am is light years ahead.

    the perfect sxs for where I live, unfortunately I sat in one last night and the seat's are two small for me as I am 5'11 340 lbs. my back won't fit in the sea,t also think the back seat is pitched to far back even though I didn't fit but with all that said guess i'll have to go on a major diet to fit in the seat.

    Hey Guys,
    I Just wanted to ask which one you would recommend Just for fast driving on flat Undergrounds Like Sand, Gravel and so on, drifting would be cool If possibel with these wheelbase.
    1) Can Am Sport 1000r, 100 HP
    2) Polaris RS1
    Important for me as a beginner is good cornering and as little tendency to flip as possibel. Maybe the possibility to lower the ride a bit

    • @dirttraxtv
      @dirttraxtv  Před 2 lety +1

      Not sure if you've ever ridden an RS1, but it is a pretty incredible machine. Lots of power and performance there so if you have your eye on one at a good price and you don't need to bring along a passenger, go for it.

      You have so many possibilities around north Amerika to use all Kind of SXS, but here in Germany we are very limited in trials and Tracks. Most Tracks in my country are pretty narrow, so we need to think twice in wich SXS we should spend our Money.
      Thats why we always have to ask if a 60" or a 64" would be better choice.
      For best use and fun for the Money, there are actually Just 3 models in my opinion:
      1) Can Am Sport 1000
      2) Polaris RS1
      3) Yamaha YXZ 1000r (because the european Guys Love their Manual Transmissions and the fun Factor of the engine and Sound. We can't do any jumps Here or Drive on whoops, so If Most time of use is flat Undergrounds and Just ripping around, the YXZ might be a cool Thing too, but 10K more expensive than RS1, ... If this is worth it 🙄)
      The Offroad Business in Germany is by far not as big as in Amerika, so we only have Channels Like yours to get our informations. Many thanks for your Work 👍👍👍👍

      Your right man. I been re watching this years videos and they all are pretty much commercials for whatever product they are " reviewing". Anything Polaris or Can Am is a promotional commercial rather than a review. The only products they actually ride and give a real review are the japanese products like Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki. I understand they have to make a living....but being paid to sing praises isnt exactly a " review". The one that really got me was the " commercial" about the new CF Moto lineup where nothing but praise was sang about them when everybody knows they are made in China JUNK. Where can we now go to find reviewers who ride the hell out of a machine and give a honest review thats not influenced by money and sponsorships???? Oh I forgot about Polaris....they will rarely EVER say anything negative about Polaris when they have the worst reputation in the business for reliability and durability.

    • @EastCoastATV
      @EastCoastATV Před 5 lety +2

      Agreed. Can Am has the Smart Lok technology which is apparently a full diff lock on the fly, but they only have it in a few machines. It should be standard across the board because, speaking from experience, Visco Lok stinks.

    • @TheBandit7613
      @TheBandit7613 Před 5 lety +1

      Yes it does. It has the new Visco-Loc QE. QE stands for quick engagement.
      I tested it and it works.

    • @EastCoastATV
      @EastCoastATV Před 5 lety +1

      I'm not sure what you're referring to. Can Am hasn't made any modification to Visco Lok in years. It's so awful that people spend a lot of money upgrading the front diff to aftermarket full diff locking system, like TORQ Locker or HALO Locker. Can Am should put the new Smart Lok system on all their ATVs and Side by Sides. I love my Commander except for the diff lock. Luckily I don't do much riding in deep mud, if I did I would own something else. One day last summer I was out riding with a guy that just bought a new Outlander and we drove through a muddy spot that was quite short. We both go stuck and had to take several attempts at it. While I was trying to go through he told me one of my front wheels wasn't spinning - I said Good Old Visco-Lok! When he went through it was the exact same problem. He was pretty mad about it.

Record all of the audio after the video next time pls. Above all...when you are getting paid by a sponsor just give them a better "First Ride"...since all the viewer gets is a commercial anyway. Good Luck
