This will certainly help people getting into the hobby. Thank you
I hope so too!
You are an excellent teacher
Thank you! I’m so happy these videos have been helpful
I really appreciate you sharing these videos. As someone starting out in this hobby, these have been very helpful. You have a very relaxed presentation style and I look forward to the continuation of the series. Thank you.
That’s awesome! I’m so happy you have found these videos helpful. Working on getting the next video out!
Hi! Loved this video, I’m tempted into trying this myself. Will you do a new video for the next steps?
I definitely will! Just need to edit and post 😅
Thanks so much for uploading this, I've been wanting to get into alters for a while so this is really helpful. Just finished putting down the base layer on my first alter!
Yay! That’s awesome. So happy to hear this was helpful for you getting started 🥰
Do you have issues with it scratching off like how you did for the text box? I came to see how other people do it because I thought I might need a different base coat or to scuff the card up a little so the paint sticks better
The paint is pretty stuck on after fully drying though some I have more issues with certain set printings. I just use an acrylic paint for my base layer and make sure it’s fully dry before additional layers.
Does the card have a discernable weight difference after being painted? If not, do you accept commissions?
I have not noticed a difference, though I’m sure there will be a very very slight increase from the paints (just can’t tell without a scale). A full card alter may be more noticeable. I need a scale to check!
@@pokefairyrose If you need a scale to tell the difference then they should be safe for competitive play. If you accept commissions I would love to get a few cards altered.
I took the leap and started the journey
Yay!
