Petra stopped by the CCM Cafe and gave us this special acoustic medley of songs over their 50 year career! The guys are currently touring on their 50th anniversary reunion tour.
This was a HUGE part of my youth experience and so thankful for these guys! The music touched a generation and my 4 sons got to experience it all as well! The best part is no matter what age you are , one day we will be all together in glory and singing to the one who more then deserves the glory!! Love you guys and THANK YOU!
John's voice is still fantastic. This band's music is legendary. These are great, First Love, Homeless Few, No Doubt, Love, and Prayer, and Hand on my Heart were always some of my favorites.

There is not a single song of yours that I am not familiar with and I still listen to them daily. I never get tired of listening to them. God really did anoint you guys to play his music and for that we were all blessed. It's always interesting to hear John sing Greg's songs. But probably the best version of this medley is from the Farewell tour where there were actually both John and Greg and traded vocals on respective songs. That was actually a very powerful moment having both main voices of Petra singing together.
It is so Awesome to see Petra performing again. I play drums for a Christian rock band. These guys were playing Christian rock when preachers and pastors were saying you can’t use rock with Christian lyrics. Well they have reached thousands of people that no one else could. God bless these guys!!!

Memories of when I was a new inmigrantes in BC Canada in late 80s I heard Petra in English and Spanish. One of my favourite is My first love and the colouring song
I remember my first experience with Petra - seeing that awesome record cover on More Power to Ya in my parent's record collection sandwiched between a Kiss record and a Beatles record. Different eras of Petra bring different feels - they both have their strengths and weaknesses but they all bring back such memories.

Bob Hartman is one of my guitar heroes. Saw them live with Greg X in the 80's. Fabulous concert with an amazing message. Love all albums but nowadays I listen mostly to Jekyll and Hyde. God Bless this band, this ministry! Enter In is one of my all time favorite songs.
I saw Petra in Greenville Illinois at agape festival 1981or1982 I remember this cause their bus got stuck in the mud and about 200 of US teenage kids helped push it out and we were all given t-shirts

But probably the best version of this medley is from the Farewell tour where there were actually both John and Greg and traded vocals on respective songs. That was actually a very powerful moment having both main voices of Petra singing together.
I saw John do it is finished live and I wish I could hear it again.
