Her muscles remembers. Jiwon just needs to do the basics and some simple routines everyday and I think it will come back to her. There are some gestures that are reflex to her. It certainly shows that she just needs to sharpen her skills again. I don't think not immediately getting things done perfectly would be something disappointing. She should give her self more credit.

The best description I've heard is that your arms and upper body remember everything but your legs forget everything and I think it's true, which is why I usually say I've only been dancing 3 years because the first seven don't feel like they counted.
Used to do that in class too just to hide mistakes. LMAO. 😂 Just end it gracefully.

As a ballerina of 20 years I gotta say that kid doing the kitri variation is amazing, she is very talented. But on 0:02 these aren’t pirouettes, they are chaine turns and then they go to piques so yeah

generally students start going on pointe at around 7-8 yo...i remember everyone at my school went on pointe then

It's okay depends on how many years of training they already have; if they started recently is not recommendable.
in general it is recommended to wait at least until 12 because before then the ankle bones are not fully developed and dancers can end up with microfractures or bends in their bones; however, instructors sometimes choose to put kids in pointe shoes if their ankles are exceptionally strong. Not sure if that was the case here, but maybe
^^^ I started on pointe in third grade, but i quit bc i hated my instructor she was so mean, not strict she was literally mean LMAO
I started mine on my 2nd grade, and yes i think it depends on the years of training. 💕
i think i depends on how strong you develop your ankles because i did start pointe when i was 10.
After seeing this, I can understand why she doesn’t really complain about not singing as much. She clearly enjoyed dance more :)

I used to learn all those types of routine in a whole three years in middle school but in my currently of age, I’ve still remember whenever or whatever just for fun to dance but when I spin...my head dizzy due for not to dance in a long time and busy in college.

Cassie Colgen i mean the girl at 2:15 maybe cause she's asian but she looks to be max 13 years old (honestly she looks 10 to me). And the way she is en pointe, she seems to been had a minimum of 6months (assuming she learns quickly) of practise

Cassie Colgen im not hating, but it can be really damaging to the feet later in her life :( she seems okay now but for another little girl who sees this and wants to try without instructor their ankles wont be strong enough to support them
i don't think there's an age limit. but it really depends on how many years you've trained and how strong your ankles are.

Oof I did ballet since I was 4 to 13 I’m starting up again, 16 now, and I wish I hadn’t stopped, I’m no longer flexible, and there’s so much I’ve forgotten
They ahould try using the ballet slipper because using using the shoe and only using a stockings is really different. This is awesome though😄

I wish I started training professionally I miss it we used to have a teacher come into school and she picked out a few of us who had “potential” and we trained with her for a while she wanted me and another girl to come to her school but I never really went bcs I didn’t yet know what I wanted to do and now I regret it

I am pretty sure 'loaded at the front' actually is talking about breast. Cheng Xiao is quite big there which is good for her. It looks healthy. It is not because of lack of diet or smth. But ballet dancer need to look skinny and their figures need to look alike to each other. That's what I know.

I’m curious as to why they are calling chaines, pirouettes also. The chaine is the turn with both legs on the ground and in releve. A pirouette is a spin with on leg raised to the passé and the other in releve. They are two completely different moves why are they calling them both pirouettes?

Me as a ballerina I know that the arts of ballet is not easy you have to get used to it and most people quit because of how much stress they put on you or they just are shy on stage if ballet was easy everyone would do it but no its one of the hardest performing arts there is in the world, and being in ballet for 6 years I know how tough it is I litterly had to get yelled at! XD But I now thank my teachers for how much I have achieved in ballet.
