I feel very bad for her, i could clearly feel her sadness, disappointment and embarrassment cause i did these kind of mistakes as well sometimes and it felt as if you just humiliated yourself while others were watching you, it felt as if you and other people expected so much of you and yet you disappoint them and yourself. Doing small mistakes after a huge mistake is kinda normal, it's probably because of the embarassment. But I'm happy for Xiao, she did a very great job both at the rehearsal and there. I'm sure that she'll do even better next year!! Please keep supporting and loving her, don't leave her just because of her mistake here TT

I had a rehersal today, And when I dance I have to do the front walkover, but I failed and fall, I felt so embarrased, I want to cry but I can't. Then I decide to watch this video so that I didn't feel like I'm the only one who fall during a dance...but I still can't forget that mistake :'(

um sorry guys but like having traditional chinese dance helps a lot in learning rhythmic gym. lmao i trained in traditional chinese dance and gym before so yes its q easy to transit because it requires flexibility in a lot of areas etc etc. im sure she practiced very hard to get to this state, but honestly if mina won stop being salty because 1) mina worked as hard too lmao 2) mina alrdy won salting like this will just make wjsn look bad lmao. from a wjsn and once since debut

Sadly, this competition is not fair, the difficulty is not that important. In fact, Xiao can do the less as she did in last year, but she wants to show her best, she's always the best in our mind.(sorry for the grammar..)
I'm assuming you don't do a sport that focuses on performances (dancing, cheerleading, gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics). I say this because if you did you wouldn't have said she could've gotten a medal even with her mistakes. She couldn't have, because of her mistakes. While she did have the most complicated routine out of the others, that means nothing when you see how many mistakes she's made. While ideally most performing athletes would like to do something that is both challenging and beautiful, we can't because we need to focus on perfection (how good we can do it, and if we can do it without making any mistakes) over the difficulty of the piece. Mina was able to do her routine with no mistakes and she won even though her routine was much simpler that Xiao's. I'm sure that if she had made no mistakes she would've won, but you can't change what's already happened.
Usually, if the instrument went off the stage... they’re totally screwed, their score would get minus so much that few perfect moves after won’t be enough to save the total score. Let’s be realistic. Her rehearsal was neat, unlucky that the actual perf for competition wasn’t.

@@Nicprofication That's correct, however, her routine is the cleanest out of all of the others. Keep in mind that you are competing against others in rhythmic gymnastics, so it doesn't matter how bad or good your routine was. If everyone else was worse than you (even if you made mistakes), you would still win. There were people better than Cheng Xiao this year, therefore pushing her ranking down, because they did not make as many mistakes as her.

Chengxiao she number one for me performance in this years level hard she tired and she work hard. Anyway she will be the winner in next years love her fighting.
Although she made mistakes, the rehearsal she did was absolutely perfect. It showed how the choreo displays a fierce and difficult symbolization. Her movements were challenging and that's what makes it exciting to watch. She took the risk of showing what she is capable of. She showed exactly that for most of the performance. Her movements were also graceful and smooth in the rehearsal. Overall, I think her performance was fantastic. You did great Cheng Xiao❤️

At the rehearsal she did perfect . I guess she’s get nervous again for this one but her talent is really really skilled .

I will never forget this performance. Even though there were a few mistakes but it’s professionally done by Cheng Xiao the expectation of the Fans and the other idols is so high. This was the most professional performance of all gymnast in ISAC. Also I highly respect the other idols who do there very best❤️

Even though she made quite a few mistakes her difficulty level is still higher than a lot of her competitors and for the amount of time she practiced she did decent. I respect the fact that her schedule was hectic but there's always room for improvement.

lesson: never use a hoolahoop in rythmic gymnastic competitions, its very tricky
Alex Darum it is actually easy if you know how to handle it since young. Since i have been doing gym for 7 years, hoop is scary but fun to do. That is why most people want to try hoop as it looks challenging

not a huge fan of wjsn but chengxiao really got my attention in this segment of isac especially her very first performance. it really pained me seeing her trying to put up a smile throughout the performance knowing that she made several errors and she probably thinks she let her fans down and disappointed them omg.. but she was really professional and tried to cover up her mistakes on the spot which was really really good & even with the mistakes, her performance is undoubtedly still the most engaging one. an unbiased opinion: chengxiao owns this segment in isac, period. :")

I watched this so many times because i really love her performance since last ISAC. Even though i feel sad that she made a mistake but considering difficult routines that she did it's understandable. I still find her performance amazing despite all that.
You should watch full version because commentator judge Cha Sang Eun, who is an olympic coach for Korea’s rhythmic gymnasts almost want to cry when she talk about cheng xiao. Last year she did not react so sad to Mina's mistake.

I used to be a rhythmic gymnast myself and i totally understand how she felt here. When you’re expected to do really well and you end up making a mistake- that mistake will eventually lead to many more mistakes through out the routine because you’ve lost your focus and waiting to get to the end of the song seriously feels so long even though the song is only like a minute and a half
