: This final episode of The Swan Club is titled, ‘Fly’. The members are off to Busan for their show, only to face another challenge at the dress rehearsal on the day before the show. ‘The Nutcracker’ finally begins with Jumi’s appearance and the tension, driven by fear of making mistakes and expectancy for the stage, mounts more as the time ticks away. After the beautiful finale by Jiwon, the members praise each other with hugs and tears and wrap up for another dream to come.

Jone Hsu 你想太多了……去看看她别的演出……芭蕾是最难半路出家的舞蹈，如果没有从小接受严格的长期的芭蕾舞训练，即便对于专业舞者也是几乎不可能半路转行跳的…短期训练能跳成这样说明她功底已经很了得了…不会跳舞的人你试试短期来跳个nutcracker里的木偶人段………？
@@horaw9902 但是她跳的确实不好，我经常看中国传统舞和芭蕾舞。跟专业舞者比起来，她就是个素人。只不过因为开肩开腰的缘故，能做一些常人做不到的动作。她在国内连中央民族大学舞蹈学院都进不去，第一是基本功并不是很扎实，第二是身高不达标。

I'm currently watching her old performances and shows and if di ako nagkakamali yung suot nya na red/maroon na top and pants (or kung ano mang tawag dun) yun din yung suot nya sa idol producer grabe deserve na deserve nya yung success na nangyayari sa life nya esp sa career nya nakakasad na sa tuwing nanonood ako ng mga show na kasali sya ni wala akong mabasa na comments about sa kanya meron man isa or dalawa pero ngayon ang dami dami na I'm so happy for her sana magtuloy tuloy yung pag boom ng career nya there's really something about her na unique that makes me fall for her 💟

I’m a ballerina who was originally trained in Chinese classical dance and only recently had to quit due to scheduling conflicts, so Cheng Xiao’s journey is very similar to mine in many ways. I trained in Chinese classical since age 4 and took up ballet as well slightly later. The training is very cohesive and complements the other form well, but the technique does differ. She did absolutely incredibly well for how short of a period she was able to train, and the discipline to train on her own time is more than many people understand. No, she is not perfect. Her turnout is worrisome because not pushing your heels forward can lead to many injuries. But for her role, despite the injury risks, the lack of turnout is not appalling for that role since she is a “doll” and it can be excused. Yes it is dangerous to go up on pointe too early, of course it is not recommended at all. But it doesn’t take away from the fact that Cheng Xiao did incredibly well and her Chinese dance training totally paid off.
I read somewhere that a lot of chinese dance techniques came from ballet, so it makes sense why there are similarities. After chinese women started foot binding female dance mostly died out cos women could barely walk yet alone dance, so the ancient forms of chinese dance started to die out. Ancient chinese dance was then recreated in the 20th century after foot binding was outlawed, based on the images of ancient dances in old paintings and sculptures and using some ballet techniques to fill in the gaps
@@hi-ve1cw well actually ballet beginning is u need flexibility and many long term dance such as Chinese classical/ traditional requires flexibility and the fact that she is trained in some dance is easier for her to learn other dance; ballet. She might have done ballet too in dance school back in China so it won’t be as easy as for her to get injured as she’s also most likely good with dealing injuries due to dance for many years

Wow Chengxiao has been practicing ballet all the while she was filming and teaching choreography to trainees in Idol Producer (a.k.a. the Chinese Produce 101)
No matter how much of a prodigy she is though...should she really be wearing pointe shoes? I was so worried about her doing damage to her ankles. It take more than a few months or even several years to build up the strength in your ankles to even begin training on pointes.
I had the same thought. I don't know who she is, but she doesn't go on her box all the way which could cause injuries. Ballet, especially pointe, is difficult and takes years to master.
She did ballet training in china when she is young...I think she go to dancing school also and she is especially trained in ballet...I saw her pictures before she became idol...
That's great and all, but just because you're trained in ballet doesn't always mean you're ready to be on pointe. Plus if she hasn't done it in a while, her ankles could be weaker than before which can cause injuries when going on pointe.
The other person was wrong, she did Chinese Traditional Dancing, not ballet. She could have done some to supplement the Chinese Traditional Dancing, but it definitely wasn't as a main.
She really improved a lot for someone that hasn't done ballet before but it really hurts me to watch her go en pointe because it looks like they didn't even go through pointe basics. Like the went "do releves but en pointe this time" without teaching her how to go from parallel flat to pointe.

That’s AMAZING. She did so well in such an extremely rigorous dance style even though she doesn’t spend day in and day out for years training in that style. Her physical and mental skills and work ethic are really impressive

LaTonia Harris You don’t need “years of training” it certainly helps a lot, and I wouldn’t recommend doing any pointe work before one has gained enough strength and technical skills, but if you have the strength and the technique it doesn’t really matter how short a time it took you to get it.
Nathaniel Puttonen she doesn't have the proper strength and technique though. Sure, she CAN walk on her toes but they're just setting her up for injury. When I saw her on pointe I cringed bc I could feel the achilles tendonitis developing through the screen

@@yikes9944 she clearly does. She stayed on the box the whole time. Also she was a Chinese traditional dancer since very young which is even harder rhen ballet and even incorporates elements of ballet. There was nothing wrong in her performance.

She sprained her ankle, looks like it healed up to her real part of act. She is very good, and I have seen her doing dance in China competition. Her body is very relaxed and she learned to be a ballerina as well as all the other ladies. She did just great.

Being a former ballerina, I studied ballet when I was around 5 or 6 years old for six years and even did some performances as well. It's takes a lot of practice and doing things over and over just to make it perfect. So seeing Cheng Xiao as a ballerina, she is doing quite well. Keep it up, and work hard but don't over do it.
