- Here is the 9th stage of the hero story: Route 101!
This is a pretty simple mission and you can get an A rank pretty easily as long as you get a low time.
Time needed for A rank: 2:45
Tip: Use final boost when president limo already visible, it's no use to boosting before
Keyword here is FINAL boost. Make sure your using the boosts as they come up when its safe.

Update, A ranked both of these missions and all the other missions for both route 101 and route 280. Awesome. Good luck to the rest.

BULLSHIT! I've been consistently getting 2:49 over and over and over again. The time limit for A is 100% impossible!

if not when there's a sharp turn let go of a for a moment then turn the direction you need to go.
Really? I managed to get an A in my second attempt.
I agree. I've tried it too and I still get a C.

The drifting is laughably bad

Doing this on my keyboard gives me a lot less control than what is shown in this video.
i clicked the video to look at the time needed, kept getting 2:46 wondering why, watches the end. "oh", next attempt gets 2:41. "huh".
GOD, how I hated this part of the game, for both Hero and Dark alike!!!
And the missions are even worse.
@@NIB1306 The second mission is easy though. Don't drive to the end without completing it though.
I will be honest, I was fine with it personally. But A ranking these missions is a massive bitch. And then you get the kart racing with 2 players, and all I could think about was wishing there was an actual sonic racing game out there. Which they eventually did do.
But back then, this was the only sonic racing game aesthetic out there, so I took what I could get.

I don’t get it. I’m driving better than this video (hitting the walls and cars less, collecting more rings for boosts) but I’m still getting 2:46 every time.
only boost at the end when you see the president's car, it's much faster than just instantly boosting on the last turn. got my time down from 2:46 to 2:40 this way
