- In today’s VLOG, Leaving Furano, passing Biei to Asahikawa, my last ride with my friends, you can never be too careful, rolling hills, should be flowers but not the right time, but the hills were beautiful none the less, flower farm, strange gas containers, Hay man!, camping one more time with my companions in a park, Onsen hot tub with beer (you cant see it), killer mosquitoes and a crow gang.

Funny you should talk of Mosquitoes.. the lead in Ad was a Thermo Gadget to rid area of SQUITS !! Liked hearing about Farm area ; such as Potato Farms. They seem to use space diff. than USA. We have Wet Land ... we set it aside & they Grow RICE ! Ja Yoe !

4:00 Those tanks are usually storage for kerosene, which used by heater during cold winter.
Thanks for the info, I was watching someone else's video from Hokkaido and wanted to know. Also thanks Matt for pointing them out :D I did think they may be for heating or something since most rural areas in the USA have propane tanks for heating and cooking, in the north east they use heating oil.

A comment on the difference in sound: there is a huge difference in the loudness of the parts where you talk and the parts where the music is played. The music part is much louder and each time I have to adjust my sound for it not to overwhelm me. For the rest, these are great videos and keep them coming!

Maybe it isn't the decibels. It's possible. Literally a decade ago there were complaints about the loudness of the music of commercial videos between tv shows. Even though they had the same DBs, they were still perceived as very loud compared to the shows. Maybe that's an angle you can work off? But yeah, particularly the first video of today (or yesterday), I had to turn down and then turn up again quite regularly, and same for the second. Maybe I can go through some of the videos and check a bit more and come back about it with you later.

Hi Matt Intrigued by your pedalling technique. I have always understood that best position is on the balls of your feet. I notice you ride with pedals just above the heel. Is that based on advice? Ian
