As Always, insane and deep explanation, everything clear and neat. Im about to bought an 8k printer and it helps me alot. My 4k mini is now a tireless workhorse thanks to you. Keep it up brother and thanks for the effort you put in. Damiano
Great video as always Dennys! I can't wait to get my Mighty 8k's, this wait is taking forever! Thanks for showing all the settings as well, it helps give us a starting point.
Thank you very much for this video. I think the results look better than the Saturn 2 prints and I am glad I won't be giving up detail for bed size by choosing the Mighty over the Mini. I am sad there is no screen protector, but I look forward to being able to check my print progress in my workshop from my office.
I was thinking the same, I’d imagine using some translucent resin and a bit of thinned blue paint you’d get something that looked straight outta blade runner 😆
Not sure how your prints are coming out so beautiful keep it coming!!!! I’ve been trying to print large prints with siraya tech navy grey normal exposure 1.5s and bottom exposure 40s and they won’t stick to supports but small prints come out perfect
Another awesome technical review. Is there any chance you could include a filigree ring as part of the print testing? There are lots of jewelers looking at what printer works best.
@@wangdennys Thanks for the response. I wonder what the problem could be. I know it's a long shot, but do you know about what the temperature in the room was while you were printing?
@wangdennys I got it working by adding 4 transition layers and now it's happy. Also, it's crazy fast. Thanks so much for the settings; they're way better than others I've found online for 20um.
Hello there! Your videos are super helpful. Just bought the mighty for our Studio and have some troubleshooting with the first prints. With chitubox settings do You reccomend?im using eleggo abs like and aqua 8k. Thank You!
What do you think for dental printing (Where the trueness of the size matters very much)? Mighty 8K seems worse than Sonic 4K 2022 (Around 30-40 microns worse, maybe?)
Just started watching and see interesting settings and torture and print angle test results but I have no idea what resin is being used. Did I miss that information? Would be useful to add if it's not included. Cheers.
@@wangdennys Thanks. I saw that but it's not clear to me who is the resin supplier. I guess it's Phrozen right. I'm not an 8K owner (yet) so forgive my ignorance. Cheers.
Phrozen Mighty 8K LCD screen is made from plastic not glass. Whatever you do make sure you never get resin on it since it will eat right through it. This is not covered by warranty. Dont know how Phrozen manage to overlook the possibility of users having accidents and getting resin on the screen.🤨👎🏾.
0.8 second exposure time? How do you do it? I have this same printer and my prints come out flimsy at 1.8 s exposure time. Am I doing something else wrong?
@@wangdennys Yes! That's what I'm using. I've already tried recallibrating the z-axis. I just now switched all my settings to yours and I'm doing a test to see if it helps. I hope it does 🙏
I dont recommend the printer right now, until they fix several problems. Mine also comes with screw, and vat broken. But the panel freezes all the time, and have issues with chitu and specially lychee. The resin 8k also seems to have issues and make holes in the top of all minis.
Why did you print on 20um? If you print Phrozen Sonic 4k using 20um too, you'll not see any artifacts with AA. Can you print 50 um with AA on Sonic 8k?
Unbelievable, the amount of work you have put into the review is just mind boggling.
Thank you. I hope you like the tests.
@@wangdennys Just wanted to chime in and say that these reviews are amazing. I just received my mini 8K and this is incredibly helpful!
I appreciate the work you put in both printing and explaining. As someone that already preordered the mighty 8k it helps me a lot and gives me hope.
Thank you
Yes I agreed 👍 👏
Oh man loving those 0.3 prints 🤣😂 amazing detailed video breakdown
Thank you.
Yes the 0.3mm print is very interesting.

yeah, i am about to retire my mini 4k too. and only use it to test resin.
This is what I would call dedication! really cool compilation keep up the great work man!
I am currently trying to decide between the Mini and the Mighty, so this was excellent info. Thanks very much!
Great review and thank you for touching on the point of the Mini 8K vs Mighty 8K and then again the Elegoo Saturn 2 8K
Thank you
Tip Hat Mister, for your amazing work. One of the best clips on the YT comparing the two machines.

Another great review with awesome detailed test results. Keep up the great work!
another great in depth review, definitely one of the recommended channels i show people that are new to printing, keep up the excellent work!

That 0.3 print reminds me of scanlines in old monitors, or even a hologram look.

Hoooo translucent blue resin.

It's a bit of a bummer that lychee AA is still not great. The software is the best in all other aspects though
Great video! God bless!

I can't find a good filigree ring model yet.
thanks for another good review, shame about the Saturn 2.
Such an unfortunate.
Sad...
Why shame on saturn 2? I should print equally
Is that the correct settings screenshot at 0:33? All those settings for me did was make a mess. Aqua Gray 8k resin, ~26C ambient.
Yes

I found out that 10 degree angle produces bad artifact lines
I think it is more of a stepping lines rather than artifact lines

finally !
Great video as always, do u use uv tools or PhotonFileValidator? If so can u do a video on it?
Nope.
Just chitubox and my exposure tester.
Just curious, why do you use 0.3s rest time before lift and rest time after lift?
Just minimize the wait time.
And reduce jerking when changing direction
@@wangdennys so I would actually get a faster print by using the same as you?
what layer heights and settings did you try?
Do you use internal support on the Air Jordan?
no
What would you say is the best setting to get a clean print 0.1? And how much exposure time
will you show your supports settings in chitubox? :)
I am working on support tutorial.
But dont expect it to work on auto, cause i never use auto support.
@@wangdennys thank you! i just struggle with contact depth and the diameter of the tip of the support.
@@shawnmichaelis1609 but it might also depends on your exposure
hello. Where can I get the batman head file printed in the video? I want to buy the Mighty 8k and print it out.
I forgot to include the link.
Wil update later ok.
Hi Dannys, the same print setting in this video can apply to sonic mini 8k settings as well?
I've found that the Lychee antialiasing does better at holding detail than chitu
because lychee aa barely works. there are still voxels with lychee aa.
AA in Lychee is almost non existent for whatever reason, not sure why they haven't fixed it yet.
Hi what s the best between mini 8 k and antcubic d 2 for jeweley casting??
Sorry i dont habe d2 so i cant say
why do you put plastic around the printer?
I have heavy ocd.
I prefer to keep the cover pristine.
LOL
