I feel like Vidal's strategy was like going into an "American Idol" audition, acting shy so they doubt you can sing, and then surprising them when you reveal you can. But the problem is, this isn't an audition where you want them to underestimate you so you can impress them. It was a game where you get voted out if people think you're lying.
Loved how everyone in this episode was so polite when asking questions! Crazy how in most episodes people start attacking each other lol

Yeah, screamo and stuff is often not that loud without the mic because if you do it at full volume you'll destroy your voice.

If Jubilee is going to enforce noise canceling headphones then they need to instruct the people with long hair to move the hair behind their ears before putting on the headphones. A number of the contestants put the headphones directly on their hair which leaves a space and allows them to hear their surroundings. Cheating 101

As a middle school music teacher, they did Vidal dirty here. They, as in the other singers. Yes, posture is something you learn from the moment you start singing in a kids' choir... However, professional singers have a LOT more freedom than 7th graders when it comes to posture đ Not at all saying they're wrong about him taking his hands out of his pockets, but this alone shouldn't have been taken as seriously as they did.

I totally agree with that. I sing in the choir and am also a musical actress, and the two have very, VERY different standards/expectations for posture. And even in choir we sometimes dance. Posture is really for practising, that's what I'd say, to make sure you got all your breaths and places to the correct spot. After you get everything well polished, you're basically free to do anything lmao.
This was a weird one. I'm not sure why they decided to start with the performance round. They should have just did a general question round where people can ask about ranges and so on.

Normally for these skill themed Odd One Out episodes (Rapper, Comedian, Makeup Artist, etc. ) the 1st two rounds are just questions then they do the show your talent rounds. That's why even during this episode the producer or whomever was like wow when nobody else voted to continue the game

I think the thing that I really love is that Juilbee brings together so many different people that do the same thing. Itâs really interesting to see all the different type of singers.
I'm glad they finally brought back Odd One Out. It's Jubilee's best series.

For round 1 you could also mute the video to "Play along"! I am pretty sure Jubilee chose to do performances first to see who LOOKS like a professional singer(posture, head/neck/mouth movement, etc.). It's not just about the actual singing.
This was a group of relaxed, real humans. So nice
it was so obvious that it was josh. His answer was kinda vague and the fact that he said "you dont have to be the greatest singer" gave it away

I donât know why they voted Vidal out because of posture or the mic adjustment. Some people are musical theatre performers (we usually have people to set our mics, and some people are nervous by default). Not all of us are âchoirâ, and we donât all perform in concert settings. (Sorry, that irked me.)
but he had no musical theatre technique or sound to him. It irked me too though. I started in choir but it's not all that rigid outside of choir as people like to think. Especially if you're not theatre or classically/opera trained

Studied music for years and not once have I heard somebody say they did "Musical Improv"đIt's either Jazz Improv or some genre and they mention they like to improv in. It's subtle but yea its kinda like saying you score goals in Basketball
