Great Review, OG Den! I just bought an Atom Drop deck long board as my first board a few weeks ago and have been really enjoying that, and will pick up one of these soon once I get a bit more comfortable with higher speeds :)

You got a lot of things wrong.
Trucks are not the same size. Dinghy 105mm, Playshion 133mm.
The Dinghy deck 28.5inch long, is 7 maple ply + 1 fiberglass weave and has fenders (pressed wheel wells right into the shape of the deck).
For a comparison video and trying to help people to choose a board it's a lousy job not getting the specs right and throwing a "they´re almost identical".
Not every dinghy is the same bro. Go look at the specs of the dinghy blunt: Almost identical to this playshion board. If you don't wanna hear my personal thoughts, opinions, and experiences using the two similar boards, then don't watch.

have you ever tried out any of the arbor cruisers (pocket, pilsner or oso)? after all your praise for the dinghy, i've been kinda regretting getting the arbor pocket rocket (maybe like $20 cheaper?), but i haven't had the chance to try out a dinghy yet. my friend who lives a couple hours away got a dinghy coffin and he loves it.
You know I actually have not tried arbor cruisers but Ive had lots of comments about them so I know a lot of people like them. From what I've always understood, arbor boards are above average but tend to be slightly overpriced in terms of value. I definitely wouldn't say they are bad though!

@@OgdenSikel i don't hate the pocket rocket by any means. i just don't have any fair comparables - i've only ridden a penny, ly evo, and popsicle boards... and minimally. the arbor PR is only like 7.5 or something in width and has super loose trucks so i think it's just kinda limited and not friendly towards full grown beginners. i just really wonder how much better a dinghy would feel purely as a cruiser... i think my next board is gonna be a drop cat or something. i push 8km to work which can be a drag. thanks for the content, i'm so happy the algorithm blessed me with you.

Hey! I have a question. In your tail guard video you gave links to two different kinds of tail guards. One is like the puck and the other is the one that you wrap around the edge of the tail. Do you know which one is better?
The puck one will last a lot longer. The wraparound one was ruined after a few weeks and always got in my way lol

haha a lot of the cheaper boards I get sent my companies to check out so I don't buy all of them (I'm not that rich lol!!). I always make sure I tell them I'm gonna be unbiased in reviews though before they send them cuz I really value authentic content 😀
