The Museum Of The Cherokee Indian, Cherokee, North Carolina

In this video Dr. Salvatore Vinciguerra travels to The Museum of the Cherokee Indian in Cherokee, North Carolina. The museum tells the history of the Cherokee Indians dating back 13,000 years ago. Exhibits take you on a self guided tour through rare artifacts that document how Native American lived in the area of the Appalachian Mountains in the Northeastern part of the United States of America. Life sized figures and artwork make the museum come alive. The museum hosts a variety of traveling exhibits throughout the year. The museum store is an excellent place to get a gift or purchase a piece of Native American artwork. In the lobby of the museum you can also meet and watch a live artwork demonstration from a member of the Cherokee Indian tribe.

There should be more museums to tribute the contributions of Native American. We went to a similar one in Colorado, but it wasn't as complete as this one. This is a very complete tour. You have a very nice voice for narration. :-)
