I understand how people are saying: the show should end, I know it's been running for so many years. But I think as long as it makes the viewers, including me, happy, we'd still watch it. It became a comfort show to many people worldwide. Additionally I just hope they don't end it while covid, it already took so much, please don't let the virus be the last thing we remember from Grey's Anatomy, even if they only continue for just one season, just don't end it with covid...

A comfort show is a great way to put it. It's the show I put on when I need to cry, laugh, or even scream. Watching it makes me feel like I can do anything. I mean Meredith (I know I know it's just a show) but she has survived so much it makes me feel like I can face anything!

S17 was supposed to be last season but the schedule changed because of covid. I do hope that we'll get one more "regular" season to wrap it all up nicely.

The show lasts so long already because it is just as Shonda Rhimes always said: Greys Anatomy is no basic, boring medical show. It tells the story of amazing characters full of love, tragedy and challenges and these Characters just happen to be Doctors
exactly! it’s no normal medical show! it goes into different storylines that may be riskier for other shows!
And covers so many important intersectional topics

I have to agree with everyone who’s saying this show cannot end with a covid season. This show has done it all and to end like that wouldn’t be giving the show justice or the ending it deserves. I love Ellen but I also feel like the show hasn’t been the same really since season 10. Cristina yang and Meredith together were amazing ... Derek was still alive .... my fav episodes were the ones with the 3 of them, still a good show just very different
It’s not going to end this year. It was renewed for season 18 on March 24th

SERIOUSLY, the world is depressed and messed up enough with covid, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not end the show on her dying of covid. We need POSITIVITY AND COMPASSION - just as the show has always given it's viewers!!!
The show is taking advantage of their loyal viewers. The show is nothing but liberal propaganda now because they ran out of unique patient ideas. Everyone still involved chose financial gains over show quality. I miss the old show where characters faced realistic problems, without any need to depress and misguide viewers.

I agree they were sad but so were Lexie & Marks' dying or O'malleys' death. The Derrick & Merideth storyline was the main storyline on Greys' so when Derrick died the writers didn't close enough doors on his death. The storyline seemed rushed, thoughtless and ill-planned. It's probably why the writers needed to bring Derrick back now in some way.

Grey's anatomy has this deep meaning of loyalty, many shows veer from their original theme, the fact that shondarimes has kept this theme so strong is what makes it so amazing
Honestly she hasn’t tho. These last few season is more about the doctors drama,before it used to be about the parientes story and more.

That is odd, when Grey's Anatomy came out, I was thinking I did not want to get into another Medical show. I have watched some and seen them fail. How could anything match or surpass M.A.S.H. or E.R. ? Both shows I watched from being to end. Heart breaking drawn in stories of both Doctors, and Nurses, Staff, and Patient with Families. Because it is the entwinement of all these factors that make for wonderful, unpredictable story telling.
I thought the same thing before I watched grey I loooved er and said I was not going to get into grey. I thought it was a wanna. Er lol I was so wrong. And I still miss Er

The best part about it, was it was a script that was written about and almost forgotten for years, stopped due to a making of a movie, Michael Crichton is the genius that created E.R. It's a great documentary watch if you like how things get started.

I am so worried that this might be the end, I'm just not ready to say goodbye to everyone yet, I feel like I know them for 17 years they have been in my life, I know there characters on a show, but they are much more then that, the cast and crew are the only ones I have ever looked into there stories past the show, I normally to get into the lives of someone who I don't know, but it feels different for them, all I want is for them to be happy with what they are doing. I will always be a fan, I will always cheer them on, even when that dreadful day happens, TGIT!

As long as Grey's doesn't end with covid, I'll be happy. I know it's gone on for so long but ending it with covid will not do it justice. They need to do a season 18 farewell season so we have warning and time to end the show in a proper way and do the character's justice, bring people back etc
Honestly bring back Addie and give her and mer a chance. Tbh it would be interesting to see where they end up. Bring back Cristina too. Like all the og characters besides the ones that died or got fired from the show.

I remember watching the premiere when I was a pre-teen and now having grown up with the show it’s helped me navigate my life so much. Thank you. The show has he will be real life friendships and connections by finding other friends and it’s helped me deal with everything from heartbreak, to loss, to motivation of taking on new challenges. When Cristina left, the show changed and I thought it would stop. When Derek died, the show changed and I thought it would stop. I kept saying it was my last season and I come back to it every year. This show has been my favorite show for 17 seasons, so my whole adult life.
If Greys keeps running I hope they bring back Addison! Better yet bring the characters on from Private Practice! This show still has alot of stories left to tell! Let’s hit 20 plus seasons!

Love her! First found her in Moonlight Mile, which was remarkably similar to my husband and my love story. Started watching Grey's Anatomy right from the start. Ellen delivers such honesty about how difficult and amazing it is to work through trust and to grow up, our whole lives.

I remember watching the pilot for this show. (Boston Legal was on right behind) I instantly fell in love with Meredith's character. I watched it for 10 years and when just about all the main characters had been killed off or left I was done. Its amazing that this show is going into its 17th season. I wish Ellen the best !!!

Grey’s HAS to end up with Meredith in her mother’s position, exactly how the first season started. With Meredith having Alzheimer’s, living in the same home as her mother had when Mere started off and Zola growing up to become an intern at Grey Sloan Memorial and having to deal with coming from a “Legacy” family! I don’t see it any other way! The ending HAS to have Mere reminiscing when she was an intern and fell in love with Derek, when George, Izzy, Alex and Christina were all very close and competing against one another while still staying friends and joking around!

I've always had respect for Ellen Pompeo, and I love Meredith's character! There's something about Meredith's character that I can so relate to. I understand her what it feels like to be deep, dark, and twisty, but to also have a kind humble soul underneath. It's amazing that Ellen has played this character so well for so many years!
I'm realizing now that I'm 14 and she's 51, along with most of the rest of the cast members that are well into their 30s and 40s, sometimes even 60s. I'm realizing that I'll someday have to watch them all die, all my idols, Ellen Pompeo, Caterina Scorsone, Camilla Luddington, Kelly McCreary and everyone else who helped me so much in life. Someday they'll all be gone, and this show will be ancient history. And the thought of that is unbearable.

What an amazing person to have representing what women can really accomplish in this thing we called life. She's the embodiment of how I wish real doctors would be in reality. Speaking from a place where most of the time you go to seek help for whatever ails you and all you get in return is about 5 minutes of listening and then instantly playing the blame game is not fun nor fair. I can't even begin to describe how hurtful, disrespectful and sad that makes someone feel. There have been times in my life where I though to myself, "Wow, if meredith grey was here she would of figure it out." Or I'm going to tell my age here, "Wow, if Mark Greene was here he would of figure it out." So, if anybody takes anything from this, know that you are important and you do matter. Raise your voice up so others can hear you, advocate for those who can't, and always stay humble and kind. Thankyou for reading this and stay safe y'all. ❤❤

This show has been a God sent blessing to me. I have watched every season at lest 18 times. That’s a lot of shows in each season. But it makes me feel good on my worst days. I sincerely hope all the characters make money on the reruns because me and others will continue to watch as long as I can use the remote. It’s been a wonderful ride
