Cecilia this scandal is bullshit. I'm a woman and I'm ashamed by this trend of making women the victims. The movie businnes is as easy as that: the more famous you are the more money you can ask for and get. So actresses less famous than their more famous male co-stars shouldn't act like victims and scream gender paygap. It's not about gender. It's about how many people will tune in to see your face. Ellen Pompeo shouldn't be surprised that Dempsey got more money than she did at the start. Of course he did. He was way more famous than her and he deserved it. And of course it goes both ways. Jennifer Lawrance for example is so crazy famous she usually gets more than her male co-stars. And why don't we hear them screaming gender pay gap? Because it's not about gender!

Weak response, I still maintain my opinion. She doesn't deserve that salary, ABC would be better spent on a new show. This is the reason why major networks are dying, that and Netflix and Amazon prime are taking viewers as well.

LOL!!! You think it's that easy to start up a GLOBALLY successful TV show? You don't even know how many pilots get pulled every year. If they could take Ellen's 20 mil and invest it in something that will instantly bring them revenue from the whole world, they would. You keep fixating on what you consider an average rating but you forget that this is a well established show that brings royalties to everyone involved every year. Grey's Anatomy is iconic, at this point.

Grey's Anatomy manages to still be a great show even after more than 300 episodes. It's remarkable and Ellen is a huge part of why it succeeds. She deserves 20 million and the show deserves to stay on.

wow, initially I only thought of her as a good actor, but now I can see she's also a very grounded, confident, and thoughtful person.
