Plus now I know how to maintain and repair it, and it's is more cost effective than having to buy a new one if I got an issue.

I purchased that Razer Blackwidow mini v3 with phantom keycaps on clearance for 60 freedom bux. It's just a backup board for my Steam Deck that lives in a backpack. For my purposes, it's great because it can work either wired, 2.4ghz, or BT. I like the clackiness and the tactlity of it, and I love all of the different rgb modes and the macros that can be set up with different button combinations. I get that it's probably not your thing, but it isn't trash. It's a solid board that can be had at a reasonable price that accomplishes a specific task. Not everyone wants bespoke 800$ pastel boards with waifu caps that only work wired.

you can also not buy a keyboard for razer and buy a high end wooting or steel series keyboard that performs infinitely better than your cutom keyboard that doesn't have hall effect switches if your priority is to have a pretty gaming setup that sounds nice when you press the buttons I suggest you also buy cat ear headphones

Everyone in the comments who have never actually gone ahead and looked at custom keyboards, please do before calling them overpriced, yes ofc you can make custom keyboards that cost an arm and a leg but you really dont have to, a custom keyboard that costs just as much as a razor, Logitech or Corsair keyboard will sounds better at their price range with a healthy upgrade path and less e-waste, its modular people, if you need a newer keyboard later you can use parts of your pre-existing keyboard, its saves you money in the longrun.... atleast do some research on the topic, you only need about 60-80$ to get started which isnt cheap ofc but not much more expensive than a decent keyboard from the likes of Logitech, Razer, HyperX, Corsair, Steel series... You get the point, try like a Yunzii or Aula or something like that, they make keyboards for very reasonable prices, for what you get, custom keyboards don't have to be 200$+ to be good PS. There is a two type of keyboard user I think , it was a custom user and a pro gamer user . Its all preference, having a clicky switch isn't for everyone, but some people like the tactile and auditory feedback of a "click" either for typing or gaming, for an example, the click can indicate you've pressed "R" to reload... Otherwise is all down to preference after all, thats the great thing about the keyboard hobby!

I’ve tried what you call the good keyboard but honestly it’s just preference. I enjoy the build and feel of the Corsair K70 keyboard which is a VERY LOUD keyboard. Compared to the thocky ones it just feels better in my opinion but I totally understand why people like really nice and colorful keyboards especially if you have a theme going for your setup 👍
