Most of the users are using Paytm Fastag. A better solution like migrating to a new provider should have been provided. I had to pay double charges at the toll for not having a valid fastag while waiting for my new fastag to arrive.
Yes this is really sad , migration should be provided easily. But the migration process is not that simple and the other bank would ask u to buy a new one rather than migration
Please note, If you have a fastag attached to your car (though blocked/blacklisted/closed), you need not pay double in cash. Just pay exact amount You only need to pay double for cash transaction if no fastag is available.

A better idea is to paste the new fastag on something like a screen protector or tape and then stick it on windscreen to easily remove later in case of windshield change.
I think you started pulling off the tag before the glue had actually loosened. I saw another video where it was heated for about 5 minutes and the thing came off very easily without leaving any residue.
Accessories shop would do it. Buy the new one first from any bank or any toll. Close the existing one and take its pic once u destroy it Paytm is asking for the pic which you can upload later.
It worked for me only some part of the gule was there, that too i didn't have to scrape much with blade just liquid+ heat + cloth as i have shown in vdo. The heat gun used by accessories shop has high temperature that could probably help in removing all the sticker in one go.
Can't tye rfid be reassigned to a new bank instead of doing this? I mean clearly people are going to move away from paytm FastTag. There should be a way to reassign the rfid to a different bank.
There is an option to port, for that u need to contact the new service provider first they will guide u the process. I did contacted them and the recommended me to buy a new tag as porting is a long process.

If u have good budget then u can buy dual channel ones. Nexdigitron range is all super capacitor based so no heating issue, app connection is also good. Use WD40 spray to remove the sticker in 02 minutes

I did hurry a little but it still came off easily.
That helps...mere ko bhi lena padega but I would need to go to some shop, as I dont have access to any nearby electrical outlet (gated society dramas)

For older tags this will not work, the glue just sticks and the upper sticker comes out. You have to scrap the glue with knife

Yes then sometimes the scanner start scanning the old one and time is wasted.
