Some of my viewers have had birds for years, and some are fairly new owners. It doesn't matter which bird owner you are, because everyone, including myself, are sometimes making mistakes without even noticing.
In this video, I'll go quickly over 17 common care mistakes that bird owners make, so you can always be on top of the tiny things that you probably never even thought about.

As an new bird owner, I got my two birds a day and 2 weeks ago.
Those tips are rlly useful for me specially because I wanna tame them.

My budgie was actually showing signs of being sick and I took her to the vet and the vet said she might have a respiratory infection, I wouldn't have known that if I didn't take her. Willow is now on medication for it and I can already tell she is getting a little better. . I love your channel! â€ïžđ

Thank you for reminding us about these important budgie tips. I meet most of the check list except I need to be more consistent with the training. Thatâs been the hardest for me. They do pay attention but still donât trust me enough to listen on command. It was noticeable back when I had to give my blue budgie his antibiotic from the vet. I feel like I lost trust during that time.
Good to know I'm doing the right things.
I always keep my budgie cage open when I am home. And I make sure my wife put on her perfumes away from the budgies.

My budgie is at the same condition as Skippy. After losing his partner,he got depressed and started to pluck off his feathers, he can't even fly,u can imagine how much his feathers have lost. Can u please tell me what to do? It has been 2 years since his partner died.He still can't get over it.He refuses to interact with any female too.

Clipping a bird's wings is like sawing the legs of a race horse
Birds wings will be back after some months but the horse legs will never return and budgie do not feel pain while clipping its wing and clipping budgies wing is better for him bcz if he get hit in ceiling fan
â@vr7haseeb743 I agree. I had a budgie that I had to clip her wings because she hit the walls flying. I forgot to check her wings out once and unfortunately she hit the wall again and ended up with neurological problems. I felt so awful. đą Every bird is different. Some are good at flying and others aren't. I've had birds all my life and in my 50s. đ

If I may add a point to the above discussion. It is important to give your budgie or any bird a variety of different perches in its cage. Not only thin wooden ones. Birds need perches of different textures and thicknesses, even some wrapped in vet wrap, hard braided perches, Cherry branches etc... to help aleviate stress on their feet. Having only one type of pech in the cage isn't healthy for their feet. This is especially applicable to older birds with arthritis.

Iâm getting a parakeet so these tips are really helpful for me so please keep posting these videos I need a lot of advice so I donât make the mistakes of my parents doing that I just like to keep them in a huge cage my parents my granddad is building it because I want it not to be too small like the cage you use it is too small for me so Iâm trying to make it bigger so it has a lot more room. Iâm getting multiple budgies so I think Iâm getting multiple budgies but my mammal still has to Think about it, so Iâm just waiting to watch emoji videos just trying to pass the time I accidentally spelled emoji I meant budgie
what if my birds don't want to come out of the cage? they've all been out once and i leave lettuce and treats near the entrance so they can try to explore but they just prefer the cage. ive taken one out by hand and left him right next to the door and he flew around then sat on top of the cage for a few hours before going back in (he was rewarded for being out and about) but they rarely come out regularly even though i give them time daily

Is your bird over weight. I don't mean fat. Sometimes birds can be over their average weight and it makes it hard to fly. Example if an Eagle just eats to much if can't fly very well. And maybe you should have a vet check your bird out. It would have been born with a wing problem and you don't know about. There could be many reasons why your bird doesn't fly.

My parakeet will only eat seeds, and frozen peas.
He also throws them the peas at me. He molting every 2 months. He is underweight at the moment then gains it back after molt is done. But he is a gremlin or some thing molting equals beat up mom and rip the skin off her forehead. I want him back to normal

The bite doesn't hurt when ur used to getting bitten. Also tips get cuttle bones they are rlly good but give it space for 1 week. Also get millet spray and good calcium budgie food plus give them vegetables such as some apple and let them also nibble on some eggs but don't give them too much as well as watch his videos and alen Axp's videos. I'd like to say when u want to make them step up to ur finger, u should practice with a perch and give them a treat every time they/she/he steps up until they are comfy with ur hand but when trying to make them/her/him step up push gently under the belly area near the claws not hard but gently. U can put some pressure as long as u don't over press because they are really delicate and get them/her/him a big cage and other necessities and don't buy a bed or really cheap ropes also the happy things I don't know what they are called but they can chew on the material and need surgery if they swallow which is really serious as a result they may not make it out the surgery alive. Make sure to do research before adopting one. I'd recommend a male budgie because I have a female one and is not as trusting or brave as the male. Buy them toys other than mirrors as well because they think there is another budgie and will fight the mirror continuously which is bad. Show them their reflection once in a while. Give them attention but don't give them too much attention because they are known for their freedom and don't chase them around the cage it won't help but u will lose their trust and give them a partner because in some cases they can get depression.
Here's all my tips for specifically budgies.
I only got mines 2 weeks ago I well researched and if u don't have more money for another budgie then play her/him budgie sounds in the wild because her/him will think her/him are in their groups in the wild and ask me for any other tips whether ur about to buy something and don't know it's good for them and this all is for anyone who is struggling with owning or wanting a budgie and safety but last thing is, after 2 weeks let them out for atleast 5-10 minutes per day as they might get stuck outside hopeless and scared that's when u grab a perch and they might get on the perch as long as ur hand isn't too shaking I hope you've enjoyed the tips đ đ

We unfortunately had to clip my parrots wings, he almost died a few days ago. He flied to the shelf which was higher than the fan and it was on slow speed. He can still fly just not so high. In the winters there won't be any need because there's no acs or fans on.
You have to do what's best for your bird. Totally understand.
