  • "The British Grenadiers" is a traditional marching song of British and Commonwealth military units whose badge of identification features a grenade, the tune of which dates from the 17th century. It is the regimental quick march of the Royal Artillery (since 1716), the Corps of Royal Engineers (since 1787), the Honourable Artillery Company (since 1716), the Grenadier Guards (since 1763), and the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (since 1763). It is also an authorised march of the Royal Australian Artillery, the Royal Gibraltar Regiment, the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery, the Canadian Grenadier Guards, the Royal Regiment of Canada, and the Princess Louise Fusiliers. The standard orchestration for the military band was approved in 1762, when the Royal Artillery Band (initiated in 1557) became recognised officially,and for all other "grenade" regiments in 1763, when the remaining unofficial bands gained official status.

    On the 31st of August this week, for my 33 Birthday, my parents and I went to London Town to visit Wellington Arch.
    We went to visit Apsley House to see The 1st Duke of Wellington's Coronation Robes in the glass case in a upstairs room.
    After we did that we went to visit The Household Cavalry Museum at Whitehall.

    I am Argentinian but i don't hete to united kingdom... in really i thinks what we are sooooo similars in all and please remember United Kingdom we are a not enemis , we have sooo much history ❤ whit UK
    It hurts me a lot that we were fighting over a fucking stone in the sea.... it seriously hurts me a lot that we make fun of each other because Argentina and the United Kingdom were always friends, it's mad, the United Kingdom helped in the independence of our country, I cry a lot while I write this because we are both countries that are very similar and Argentines defended London in WW2 in the skies of England and many other things. I would also seriously like us to stop fighting and start getting along well one more time :'D 🇦🇷♥️🇬🇧

    • @Delogros
      @Delogros Před 11 měsíci

      @@aa-up4sf Yeah, modern rifles and old line tactics will do that the british did the same thing to the germans in 1914 so should really be thanking the boers, the change to khaki the british made (the first country to do so) was thanks to them as well, WW1 mght have cost many more British lives without the Boers help and besides, they still lost didn't they :)

    • @aa-up4sf
      @aa-up4sf Před 11 měsíci

      @Delogros certainly did learn their lesson and used it to their advantage in ww1 against the Germans. Although they had other shortcomings for the following three years of that war to deal with after that. As for the Boers, they did lose but not on the battlefield. A peace treaty which was quite favourable to them too ended that war. Still though, it all worked out didn't it.
